Korn - Open Up

- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Open Up is the eighth song off KoRn's seventh album "See You on the Other Side", which was released in 2005. It is their first album without long-time guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the last album with original drummer David Silveria.
"It's funky, it's heavy, it's dark, and sometimes, industrial-tinged. Working with so many different people and everything, it's made it out to be a really well-rounded album of a lot of different things. It's definitely Korn, it's definitely groove-oriented. But it's our most experimental album to date." ~ Jonathan Davis

Open Up LYRICS
What were you thinking,
I guess I'll never know.
See your eyes blinking,
Pupils begin to grow.
Drilling you softly,
Pulling you in,
Making your mind up.
What's sick or a sin?
Open up now,
Let it all go.
I'm quite certain, say it aint so.
You're corrupted by,
Some sick fuck, oh no.
Open up now,
Head in the sky.
Pierce the tongue that, keeps telling lies.
Feelings in my mouth.
You breathe in, but can't breathe out.
What you've been taking,
It makes you talk, real slow.
How come I'm thinking,
You'd be the last, to know.
(You'd be the last to know.)
Choking you gently, gaining control.
Hand you the shovel,
To dig your own hole.
Choking you gently, gaining control.
Hand you the shovel,
To dig your own hole.
Open up now,
Let it all go... x2
Open up now,
Head in the sky.
Pierce the tongue that, keeps telling lies.
Feelings in my mouth.
You breathe in, but can't breathe out.
You breathe in but can't breathe out.
27 years young and I finally understand this song 🤙
This song has a touch of Depeche Mode. And it's ironic, because there's a song from Depeche Mode that has a KoRn touch. Kinda like they subliminally mutually threw shout out at each other.
which depeche mode song? :0
Tremendous song!
Yeah! My favorite song. 🖤🤘
One of my favorites!
This song rocks! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I hope their new album has songs or a song like this. The more lengthy slow type.
This is great.
Best album by miles
Also Take a look in the 🪞
Also all of them
Great metaphors in this particular song for some reason. Can you imagine how much it would suck to only be able to breath in?
bravojr that has actually happened to me when i was little and fell once, it was scary
It wouldn't last long lol
ww2 soldiers are rolling in they're graves
This should’ve been on the opening of John Wick 3. The interlude at 4:48 reminds me when John is in the library getting Sofia’s marker and sees the last photo of him and his wife and when he reaffirms his fealty in the desert before going back to New York.
I LOVE KORN
chocking you gently, gaining control.
There was a girl I knew many years ago that was addicted to speed. This song reminds me of our touch and go relationship. Last I checked she's doing good. Still such a harrowing song for me though.
Korn is Best 🎸
I really liked the direction they were going in with this album and self titled ..it's ashame it didn't continue .. some of the song writing on this album is imo where they peaked as a group
This bass tho 2024
Why does this song like many other Korn songs bring out my feminine side?
Sounds like a personal problem
4:48 and 5:28
It's Korn, but it's not. This is like the version of Korn if they were associated with pop music, but not exactly. At least Korn is more likely associated with pop culture.
i dont think you can compare this to pop or any genre at all, its just alt metal really
the closest korns been to pop was the word up cover.
Busters man Northside stones
@TheKornProjekt, dude this is a great song but the sound quality is very low.
It's a 2005 album. Sorry they didn't work hard enough
