I am a retired Corrections Officer and I have dealt with many people with Mental Health issues. This is a great rendition of what it's like to go through withdrawals. The video enhances the experience and draws the observer right into it. It allows us to share your pain. It takes an artist to make another feel with your art. Much credit most go to you, and your PIC Nova. This is right up there with Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Damn it good to see high intelligence come pack to music. I love the follow ups "Let Me Go" and finally "Stronger Version". I have a couple of recommendations for you: Frank Zappa - "I am the Slime" and Harry Chapin - "There Only Was One Choice". Hello, I'm Shawn... I'm an alcoholic. I found this vid after hearing Fake Woke on the Glenn Beck show. Became an instant fan even being over 50 and hating rap music. Spent the last three days watching your vid's and reactions in my off time. One girl posted in the comments about this song and I checked it out...... Damn, you hit the nail on the head about addiction.

Anybody that's had any trauma in their past or present I encourage and pray you start your journey of healing today you won't regret it.

I'm a 54 yr old wife and mother. Probably not the demographic he intended to reach, but this man's words are absolutely amazing. With a long history in Al-Anon and around the rooms of recovery, this song actually gave me chills. I've watched several of his videos and all have spoken to me. This one really felt personal. He is one I will absolutely encourage my teenage son to hear!
I am sure he does not mind having a demographic that spans from teenagers to pensioneers. No matter the age, some of his songs reflects a situation, a fact or a way of thinking that we all experienced at some point in our life. By the way, i am 57 :) my hubby and i love his songs.

the song itself is REALLY good...but i'll admit some of the cinematography is quite cringey XD the voice should have been ENTIRELY out of frame to add that fear element instead of being just an aspect of himself, you could have had that as a subtle subtext instead of just thrown in your face with the cringey omen-like thematics.
Its amazing how you and your music came into my life. I am a 42 year old custodian. While cleaning up a classroom this song came on my headphones while listening to pandora. As my name is Thomas as well, it really scared me, but also got my attention. as i sat down at a students desk i listened to the lyrics of this wonderful song. I played it over and over. During this time of my life, i was headed towards divorce, neglecting my kids and dealing with my own demon. Even after a year of week to week therapy, nothing was sticking till this song literaly called my name. Since that night, i have turned almost everything in my life around. I have even discussed your music in therapy and how it has changed my outlook on my situations. Thank you from one Thomas to another.

@@annessaizynhowit2219 thank you so so so much. It's been a hell of a journey, that's for sure. I actually had my L4 to L5 fuse together in my spine the end of December. It's been a long road of recovery but I managed to stay clean through the whole ordeal even having to take pain meds. Never have I abused them nor do I want to for the fact I don't want to die, they're there for a reason and for a purpose and when taken right and in the right state of mind, I've managed to get through it this far. One day at a time. Keep fighting because even the absolute saddest truest hardest days still hold value and a lesson. Much much love Annessa

The concept has already been done, with the song called, "Hi Ren". I still like Tom MacDonald, but I do kind of worry that he copied that concept. Ren is the lead singer of the band called The Big Push. Very eclectic band from overseas.

For those who feel like it's narcissistic or conceited for the lyrics to say "I'm the best rapper ever, I don't want to be great, if they're the best, then I'm better...", etc., I'm not entirely sure that's what "Tom MacDonald" fully believes.
I think the whole point is that his pessimistic half tells him the worst possible things about him, his optimistic half tells him the best possible things about him, but he himself is a combination of the two, so his complete self lingers somewhere in between.
