I just read a rule book and it appears they changed the sit up standard to sitting up to a 45 degree angle... so guessing the shoulders must break the hip plane so you have to sit all the way up and then touch ball? Not positive though.
I would stick with what works in training. I've found most people need to drop it down a bit. For a shorter effort like 500's, I am close to 8 on the rower and 7 on the ski. Usually, the ski will be one damper setting lower than the row. If you are new to the ski I'd play around with 5-6 to see how it feels.
@@RichRyan that is what I have found in the few times I have purposely tested the settings. Lighter on the skierg versus the rower. Just got the rower and skierg a week ago. Before that I would use them at our gym for Deka training but not a lot of time to find what works best for me. Thanks!

Outstanding video. I am 77 year old male and made it through DEKA Strong. It took me a lot longer. You gave me some great tips. Thank you for sharing.
Movement standards need to change for the lunges, box jump/step overs, sit ups and burpees. In a CrossFit competition all those are NO REPS.
I believe you are right. But this is not CrossFit.
Congratulations Rich!!!
Great breakdown, I appreciate you. 💪🏼⚡️
Excellent information.
Man this is helpful. Question, what settings did you use or recommend for the row and ski? Thanks Rich
It depends! But a safe bet is between 6-7 on the Ski and 7-8 on the row.

What is the resistance on rower and skierg? Thanks
I keep it at 6 on ski and 7 on row.
The sled push where you were going into the garage at 11:10 definitely cost you some time!
Any advice on what level to select on the rower and ski erg?
