Making an 18th century gown from Ikea materials

- Presenting an 18th century dress I made with materials and fabrics from Ikea. The fabric is the "Ljusöga" model, a fabric print based on historical eighteenth century examples. This dress is based on historical examples but I am not a dress historian, this is not really historically accurate. I used mostly the sewing machine to make this gown, and of course the DIY trim from an Ikea bag was just a fun thing to do. It is worn over the historical underwear, shift, corset (stays) and petticoat I made before:

❤️Thanks for watching. I love making costumes and cosplays and hope to share a lot more sewing process, tell me what you think !

"Tiny sad cape" absolutely murdered me LMAO, it looks so great!
Thanks, I am glad people enjoy my jokes !
as a french person i really really appreciate how you mix english and french memes in the editing, genius
I feel it helps too keep everyone included.
the "annoyed in french" sound is the same as my annoyed sound in german. XD
It is flapping in the back like a tiny sad cape 😂 ❤
Absolutely beautiful! 🥰 And I adore your sense of humor 🤗
Thanks ! That is was makes me want to do videos, the stupid jokes :)
The simple black velvet trim looked so pretty tbh. (Very much my taste ❤️) But the Ikea bag is so original... How could you not choose it? 😂
This looks incredible! I would never have guessed the trim was IKEA bag straps (also did you grow up with the Batman tv series too XD )
Thanks ! No I discovered this show later, but the transition get me everytime haha
Amazing design skills! To make something like an Ikea bag look good as trim.. hats down to you.
Thank you !
I'm making a robe a l'anglase to wear as a prom dress.
Still fabulous a year later!
I love your jokes and enthusiasm!
The bed sheets are so pretty, wonder if they still sell that design
Je cours de ce pas vers le ikea le plus proche de chez moi !
Haha go ! (Même si t'as moyen de trouver des draps et rideaux encore moins cher chez Emmaus)
I really liked this dress 😊
The IKEA straps ruffles are genius! Way to goooo! 👌🏻🤣
IKEA bag straps for trim? Who knew! Love how the whole look turned out.
It turned out fabulous! I would never think it was originally sheets!
Astonishing!
The whole thing is georgus! You make it look so simple to make one of these gown and underpinnings. I discovered your channel today. I subscribed.Thank you for the video.
Love the creativity!
Nice Rococo twerking there! The dress looks great, and SO much work. I think the IKEA straps are fun, but agree that maybe you can fancy them up later. My favorite thing at Ikea are the Swedish meatballs in the cafe.
The gown is stunning!! I think I will be watching all of your videos. I’m enjoying your humour and style

roflmao I think that's the first time I've ever seen someone attempt to "twerk" in a Victorian dress, and all I could hear in my head was you going "I like big butts and I cannot lie" lol

A lovely dress. Ikea never looks better.

A French seam.... isn't every seam you sew a French seam.... because you're in France? :P
Loved it until the IKEA bag straps.
