Thanks John!!! I went thorough this topic yesterday when customer requested for strong authentication for Azure hosted Windows VM. I had to read the KB multiple times to grasp but you explained so well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
Awesome John, I should have check this video before I spent 2 days to troubleshoot the problem I faced on this matter, and you got it right, I did use credssp settings to overcome the requirement to join the source computer to Azure AD before RDP to it...., lesson learned ..
One of my top 5 favorite channels, and I'm subscribed to like 700. John is just a really awesome dude who knows his stuff. An inspiration and a master. Much respect!!!
Hey John, As always a great video. It is very impressive to see how you understand, treat and respect the products you present. A great inspiration for my end.
This is a great video and I learned a lot. I am noticing that you can only RDP when turning off NLA on the remote device? Is that true statement to say? Maybe I missed this in your video?
great video with tons of information. Are you using "AzureAD" as a placeholder? is that a custom name you have used? or is it literally "AzureAD\"(upn)?
Hi John, Here once the device is joined to Azure AD, will I be able to use my previous account (which I used to join the device to AAD) to login to the same device or do I have to use only my corporate account? Regards, Ashish Arya
Hey John, quick question. What happens if you just include the AzureAD/ prefix on a machine that isn’t registered or AAD joined. I distinctly remember being able to do this in the past but I could be wrong.

It has to be AzureAD\ then your UPN as I demoed.
Many thanks, it's a great video, it would be great to see how it works with Linux and also those conditional access policies (I plan to try it out).

As I demonstrated other accounts still work. I was using a Microsoft account on the local machine.
@@NTFAQGuy Thank you so much John for your help. You are great. 👍

There are things to try and make it work in other combinations as I mentioned
What options (if any) do you have for guest accounts?
A guest could join to their home tenant if from another aad. I have separate video on external identities.
Just to get it right: MFA would not work with the AAD login extension on a Remote Server?
Not today
It works now, see my comment above in this video.
Leave cloud... What would you take to grow such biceps....amazed and amazing physique.
Get up at 3 every day and put in the work :-)
