Drove from the Orlando Airport to Port St. Lucie without touching the steering wheel once. I use FSD all in time in a 2025 Model X. It's a better driver than I am. I have been driving for 50 years with 0 accidents and 0 tickets.
I canceled my CT reservations because of the range decrease from what was promised. Tri motor trim was to have 500+ miles of range. But after waiting 5 years for it, best range is the dual motor trim with 325 miles of range. That will discourage a lot of us truck guys from buying one.
wouldn't it make sense to not license the tech at least for a while? wouldn't tesla sales explode through the roof being the only car that self drives?
The aim of heads of departments in Government /County Councils / States is to increase their annual budget - it makes their life easier. Anyone can spend more, personally , or in business. When that money doesn't personally cost you anything, it's even easier to spend....
First Randy argues the CT will be VERY popular with those who have never owned a truck and have no interest in a truck. NOW, as sales flatten, his argument is most truck people will want one.
Hey Jeff, any idea why all Model s/x’s have radar installed in them as of June 2023? Could this be for validating the camera system for distance etc? Or do you think Musk thinks that perhaps FSD may need radar for full autonomy? Thanks in advance!!
I truly believe that both Optimus and Cybercab are waiting for AI5. AI4 cannot run both FSD and an LLM at the same time. Both products require that ability to be excellent. I also believe that AI5 is delayed because Elon realized that they had originally under-spec’d it. There is a reason why Elon has had so many high level meetings with chip fabs, and putting a rush on AI5 is likely at the heart of it.
@AveryMeiznerRealtor Some has high risk tolerance. But it is relatively safe with close supervision and the ability to take over at moment notice. I don't until the later version 12. But my confidence in version 13 skyrocketed. I use it most of the time. Because it feels much more confident and assured. Much better driver than I, to be frank. Not that it has no faults. But mostly lane selection and lane change when not necessary. That is more of owner preferences than not.
Jeff: I can't read your mind 24:00 its not so easy to study scaling laws. What a person doing due diligence needs to know is how the whole training process works. You are constantly say things like 10x improvement. But what does that mean? If you mean by that the reliability goes up for 4 9s to 5 9s or reliability goes from .99990 to .99999, I can turn around and say. The only means the reliability went up by .0001 or only .01 % It's all a question of what your measure of success and failure are. the fsd issue is that there are just a lot of improbable edge cases, and difficult tasks. Can you read a sign that says no right turn on school days. Or a sign that says transit buses only on this lane. Increasingly success, failure and reliability is about guessing all the really improbable weird things that can show up on the road, through weird behaviors, small animals, construction, traffic police, homelesss people etc.
They are, they use terrorist tactics. Explain how they aren’t. They don’t want to coexist they seek to destroy ultimately. Israel in the 90’s offered the Palestinian cause everything at one point and their leadership declined because it didn’t include Israel’s destruction. There ya go.

Drove from Sayreville NJ to Brooklyn NY & back without any critical interventions...
Great episode Jeff and Randy. 😊
Good call, $650 !
So much respect for you Jeff.
Jeff 💪❤️

Tesla cyber truck is going to bring more people into the folder
that was never truck buyers. Those numbers are unknown.
Would want a smaller cybertruck. It’s too big to fit into my parking space 😢
I got a Y with FSD and used FSD 100%. I only take over to avoid potholes
Why can’t FSD avoid potholes?
Same

I want a 2 door CT. Fit in my garage.
Elons not going to buy TikTok…😂
I want a Cybertruck but at a lower price. 😊😊😊😊😊.
same
It won't get cheap if they can't ramp up the 4680.
Nope ... 50% don't want one !!
I would love a Cybertruck but would not sell my Ram. Would have to have two trucks.
…even that canoo stock vent up about 20% - despite the company actually being bankrupt. The stock market is a crazy place…

Randy in toned down shirt mode. Nice chat
At $104,000 it is too expensive.
How about 3 cars with FSD?
30:45 if Tesla is at $4k wholesale for a battery, 25% tariff is $1k. That doesn’t seem to be a big deal.
Tessy "rockets" to wayyy below the $490 it hit in the last few months.
Fixed it for ya

Elon Musk was selected to be a punching ball that screened Besos and compatriots from the mudcasting.

Where did you hear about ai5 chip delay?
What the heck is LLM !?

Don’t forget human eyes have blind spots that the brain just stitches over some fakness. Sometimes cars are in that spot…
Can anyone tell me what happens if you get into an accident with FSD beta? I have it and I don't use it because I'm not sure of the liability.
You are liable.
@@nguyep4 So I guess I have to ask. Why is everyone taking this insane risk?

Jeff, stay in your lane discussing Tesla. When you call Palestinians terrorist, you lose your credibility. Politics don’t suit you.

At what point did he mentioned the word terrorist?
