Amy Annunziata: Except we will then have a jackass that takes advantage of the fox's new found comfort around humans and (insert a form of torturous murder)... Because humans suck.
Beautiful. This is how men made friendship with dogs in the beginning. Curious and friendly hearts sharing what they have to help each other out. Wonderful videos. 😍
It's a great feeling to be accepted and trusted by a wild and wiley animal like that, with the clear reward of being allowed to "be with them" for a little while. Great footage too :) I used to feed the foxes in my old town by leaving chicken and fish for them in alleyways I expected them to use. They got used to the regular deposits and timing, and started to wait nearby and follow me and my dog until we reached the feeding spot, when they'd emerge from whatever garden they last went through and head for the grub. A nearby bench gave me a good vantage to watch them, whilst not spooking them (bearing in mind I had my dog with me too). One day, one of them strolled past my dog and me at the bench only a few feet away, checking us out calmly. It was a real treat :) Sometime later, something bad must have happened to disturb their home, as I found one panicked and darting about in the road in the middle of the day. I'm pretty sure it was one I "knew" as it responded well to my guidance away from the road and into gardens. I never saw any of them again :( We're surrounded by a huge variety of wonderful little furry and feathered people in and around our towns, and their lives are hard work and dangerous; it's good to see at least one of them has found a safe place to visit for an essential pit stop. I hope to see more footage from you, and maybe one day we'll be treated with a visit from her offspring.
Lovely response Fred, many thanks. This is the third and most friendly of the urban foxes I've known during the past 6 years. The previous fox was around for two years until the end of 2017, then this vixen and her mate took over in January.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely story! The past few springs, a pair of very large black vultures have been hanging out at our backyard pool. Every morning, my retired mother goes out and putters around the garden, and they watch her and make "comments" from the rooftop, on top of the bean poles, or on the corners of the pool deck. They spread their wings and warm up in the morning sun, and then leave in the afternoon to spend the evening doing whatever it is that they do. They've come 3 years now... and this year had two sons with them (that are about as big as they are!) So now all four of them play "leapfrog" over one another on the pool railing, as they try to get a good position. My mom chats with them all the time. They have been such an incredible delight. What a wonderful gift, to spend even a few moments with wild creatures, and make a brief connection.
Shes a beautiful fox. We have red fox in Ontario Canada. Ive had one years ago coming to my door to be fed. They are very smart fox's. Continue your friendship with her. I love that she trust you & the bound you have with her. 🦊🦊❤
This was such an amazing and sweet video. She’s a beautiful fox. While watching this video tears are running down my face all due to you for the love and kindness you have given her. Thank you for sharing your experiences with her to your viewers.
Steve, I love all of your fox videos. I watched them all and will show them to me wife. So wonderful. How I’d love to experience such an up close and personal contact with such a beautiful creature. Thank you for sharing these videos .
She's adorable! It reminds me when I was living in stretham hill (south of london). I used to come home late at night from work and I was having encounters with foxes. I love these animals...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for feeding foxes. They suffer in the wild with very limited food. I feed 5 foxes every night. They come different time but I leave 2 cans of wet food every night. U know when a fox is well fed n healthy when they have a puffy tail. And those who are thinking they have food in the wild no they dnt maybe one kill once a month. Thank you mate. I would give you a biggggggg virtual hug. Thank you. So so so pure and kind.
Beautiful, god bless ya for looking after this beautiful creature, she doesn't have to struggle to find food as she has a friend in you , thank you for sharing x
She is so gentle and trusting. Looks very cheeky too. Great video, keep it up. Our local fox sometimes comes into our garden to eat left over bird food scraps and we never chase it away. One of my dogs is now an avid nature watcher!
She’s beautiful I love watching your videos of her, I think she’s got Cubs somewhere when she keeps running off with some of the food, thank you for looking after her your such a kind man. xxx🇬🇧xxx

A couple of winters ago I had the privilege of a similar "friendship". A wild fox visited every night. Always about 10PM. I fed him/her with dog food and meat. After a while, my dogs were waiting by the living room window for the fox to appear. One evening I managed to stand in the snow with my Jack Russel while the fox was eating just 2-3 m away. My dog was shivering with excitement but stayed quiet and as still as he could to not scare his new "friend". No hunting instinct, just excitement. When the fox left I got showered with dog kisses, he was so happy. That was amazing!
I so hope she is still doing well? She's a pretty little thing too. I love foxes, once I was giving a tennis lesson and there was a fox just sitting in the adjacent bowling green, I hit a tennis ball over the fence, and the fox played with the ball for 30 mins or so just like a dog would have, so nice to see. You sir are a gentleman and if only there was more like you.
You are a kind-hearted man, sir. Please do continue to be her friend. Godbless you!!!
She’s so beautiful. I secretly have been feeding a number of urban foxes for a few years now, they’re not this bold around me though. So sweet to see.
Such a pretty girl! Thank you kind sir for feeding her and making her feel safe and welcome 😊😊

I wonder if your garden is a legacy or a prize? Either way, it's a treasure :)
