Correct me if im wrong but i think instead of a swipe motion for the interior lights its more of a long press? Because the way i use it is at night if i want a dimmer light instead of tapping the light i long press it. It seems to turn on in a dimmer setting than if i were to tap it.
I am going to say, also, that the hole in the bumper is for a hitch. I formed this opinion before seeing your video, or any comment on it. My wife is German, and her father, along with most people in Germany, have a hitch on their car. This is not limited to VW. So, like the inner hatch panel with the warning triangle hole not used, or offering a different US only part, it is my best guess, knowing what I know, that the German bumper with hitch access hole was retained, especially since you see it even less than the hatch cover panel.
Has anyone experienced their front driver side & passenger side windows seem Very tight? Like maing obnoxious squeaking noises, when adjusting the windows?
Hey! Kudos for your videos and the energy in them. Also, a lot of good info. Allow me also a suggestion for one possible little improvement: try moving the camera less. One, the risk of viewers getting seasick will go down and two, you'll give time to the camera to focus, so less of those blurry parts. Keep up the good work and enjoy your car. I'm sure I do.
I totally agree, unfortunately when my car was sitting in the showroom when I bought it. It was already installed before i bought it. I would much rather have it off but its not worth the headache.
That rear diffuser has a hole because you can spec a electrical automatic retractable tow hitch from factory
At least il Europe we can
Gotcha that makes sense
Thanks for pointing these details out. Are these features explained in the "Owner's Manual"?
Not many of them, most of them you have to find yourself.

Gotcha your right, thanks for the clarification
for the dome lights you can press and hold to change the lighting level, there's an audible confirmation

Das ist richtig. 😉
Nice video! For the interior lights, you just need to press and hold for it to dim. You don't need to slide your finger on it.
Thank you! Gotcha good to know thanks
Whats the part code for the warning triangle please?
I’m not to sure if there is a part code here in the us, I know they sell it if you look up mk8 gti warning triangle.

Try getting some Sylglide I believe it’s called and apply some to the window tracks to help lubricate them. Should help.
But when you start driving the headlight will automatically turn on 😢
Very Helpful - Thanks dude
No problem!
I Instantly changed my rear diffuser bc of that giant hole.
I’m planning on doing the same thing!

Thanks for the feedback! I will be sure to incorporate this in my future videos.
Great content as always. Keep at it!
Thank you!
The hole is for a hitch
Only if you read the owners Manuel. Please get all these features working before recording. It makes the video more appealing
Its a shame you have to have a front license plate. Looks so much better without it.

Valence hole is fer keys of America's cup of coffee
