All this stuff together is expensive, but grey shop itself is a fairly inexpensive gear store especially for how unique a lot of the gear and camo is. They just do a lot of reproductions.

Russian chest rigs are usually mostly on the back and on the hips. So that you can go prone at any moment..

@@w4f3l I feel like thats what theyre trying for here since it doesnt have any clips to stop it sliding off your shoulders if you have it on the front, like putting a backpack on your front, it would slide off. Could be wrong though but I think its like a wannabe smersh rig

Refer to Kalishnikov Group's AK-103 stress test; the handguard catches fire and eventually the barrel sags, but it continues to fire.

It’s 6b by the way not gb for the grau index names of kit. And the 6b23 was used during Georgia but only the Flora camo variant of it, not the EMR/Digiflora model; the molle model of the Smersh didn’t exist in use then either only the older belt loop variants. Some cool gear but a major mix of issues kit and other modern tactical gear that’s isn’t seen used in this camo or with the kit you’re mixing it with. Know you’re not trying to go for anything accurate or impression based, but this info is for those who read the comments that are interested in that sort of stuff. Nice video though!

@@therac197 I've seen like 5 or 6 smershes floating about in Syria and some other moderns smershes being used by internal units like last year. Kind of amazing how it still sticks around haha.

Personally I love collecting Russian military uniform.
I have the ones from the 14th century with the green, white and red uniform
Early 1900
The green uniform with sleeping bags and we’re used in The Great War
The ones used in the Second World War
With The standard helmet and some nice wool over coat
Post war Police uniform
With a gun holster, white shirt and dark blue pants
And the ВДВ standard airborne uniform.
I really like this and would kill for stuff like this

I also recently received my Russian kit from Greyshop and I must say the quality is surprisingly very sturdy and strong (and cool/breathable), the Ratnik helmet actually fits really nice on your head plus it looks badass when you're wearing goggles with a balaclava. Shame I just saw this video now, I could have used your discount code ;)
Not saying you made a bad purchase but I would definitely look for actual Russian gear rather than greyshop as most of their stuff is overpriced repro’s to begin with

Really cool gear, great video. I think Poland has some cool sets including the "kamizelka olv", "FOO cbrn suit" and mp6 or 5 gas mask. the wz93 camo also looks neat and functions well in my opinion.
I'm sorry, but FSB officers never use EMR camouflage (aka "Pixel") of the Russian Army in combat (I know this because I know the officers). Yes, this camouflage is formally fixed in the FSB, and is even used during studying, but combat units never use it. Sincerely, and thank you for the video!)

In Russia, special forces don't use the EMR. They use the multicam or atacs fg. Recrut is a chest-rig! It is not warbelt system.

A good set of equipment for the Russian army.
Although warbelts and tactical body armor are not used by conscripts in Russia, on the whole the set is more or less adequately selected.

Try to collect a set of equipment for the Army Special Forces of the times of the Second Chechen Company
Actually, the vest is not like the real one. They got the fastening system wrong and material may have the same camo, but fabric is different. As a lot of their VKBO suits, that are commercially produced items. There was also a discussion going on in some FB forums with unsatisfied customers
i mostly stick to my older german uniforms (battle tuxedo) history but i think i finally chose what modern military loadout i would do. thanks for the awsome showcase.

Items were exactly what I ordered and the size conversions were spot on. In fact the combat pants I got from there are the best fitting pair of pants own. I would highly recommend them for any era Russian/soviet kit you may be planning
