I'm glad to see that you're sounding good and you seem healthy. Keep on eating the good, whole foods like this. Your mood seems good, and your appetite seems good. That says a lot.
I had eggplant smothered in a marinara and mozzarella cheese, my favorite! The women in your life taught you well about cooking so inspiring! I learned techniques from you like about making a steak and potatoes soaked in water and on and on, so thank you. Yes, may this be a better year for all of us personally.
Mr Tom Im so sorry i stole that carrot 🥕 and celery!! I just couldnt wait!! Looked so good!! Now with smell and the taste, i think we need to get that bigger crockpot to have some leftovers. All of your friends here are hungry and want to pet the kitties!! Have a happy and healthy New Year to all of you!! Gods blessings!!!
Hope you saved some sausage for the Kitty Krew and Gracie. Certain smells do bring back childhood memories, don't they? Every time I smell chicken and dressing, I think of my grandmother. Glad you had some good eating on New Years Day. Take care my friend and I'm looking forward to the good times that this year will bring to all of us.
You do some fine cooking Mr Tom! We had spiral ham, mashed potatoes, potato salad, baked beans, pasta salad, deviled eggs, and yeast rolls for New Year's Day. Don't like black-eyed peas! YUCK!! They taste like burnt beans to me, so none for us. Wished my husband liked to get in the kitchen and cook, but he doesn't have any interest in it. Just likes to eat it. 😂 For the most part he isn't picky. He won't eat potato salad, but will eat potatoes any other way. Doesnt like anything with coconut in it and doesn't like any kind of liver, but neither do I. Wished I liked chicken livers, but I have tried and tried to like them, and I just can't. Other than that we will will eat just about anything. So enjoy watching your videos. You voice just calms my nerves! God Bless you with many blessings for 2025!
I love conecuh sausage! I was happy to find it in the grocery up here in WNC. Long ago, a friend from Fairhope would bring me some when they came up to the mountains. Looks delicious!
Two years ago my crock pot (which was exactly like yours and well over 60 years old it belonged to my mom frist) stop working I miss it my daughter bought me a different one though I like it I really miss the old one.
I could almost smell the slow cooker dinner thru my computer connection. Warm and comforting meal. I am determined to make this year a good one as I travel my journey path. Positive attitude and action will help me along the way. My sincere gratitude for the videos and especially the rides in the car. I feel like I am riding with you and it is great to get away from the house for awhile. Hugs to all. Take care and stay warm
I went to In n' Out and had a Double Double burger and Animal Fries.. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you Mr Tom,I'm gonna try this! My Polish mama would've loved this
Hello Mr.Tom and of course the kitty crew and miss Gracie Princess of the house. Very good meal.I also fix my Chicken the same way in the oven .A whole chicken that is. I don't like chicken without the bone.❤
Hi Mr Tom 👋 Your food looks good. You sure know a lot about how to cook foods. Thats wonderful. I love watching you. Stay safe and warm and your kitty crew too. I live in NE Indiana and we are to get another arctic blast starting tonight... Sunday night. Hope it does not last long. 😊
We had a big breakfast for lunch. We were so satisfied, we decided that for supper we'd finish off leftovers from new year's eve, Chinese food, deviled eggs, ham roll-ups, veggies, etc.. Spectacular! Your dinner looks yummy. Happy New Year! God bless you with good health and prosperity 💖✝
It looks delicious and I like that everything can go into the crockpot and cook without having to hover over the stove. May you receive many blessings in 2025.
@@DeepSouthBama56 one of the best ways to cook. I make a chicken enchilada soup in my crockpot and it is so easy just dump everything in the pot and slow cook for six hours.
I got really lucky and got a nearly 9 pound spiral cut ham for $5.59. I made soup with black-eyed peas, 1/4 cup of red lentils, 1/4 cup of black beluga lentils, an onion, 2 carrots, 2 stalks of celery, 1 - 32 oz carton of beef broth, a couple TBSP of Italian herbs, about 3-4 shakes of chipotle tabasco, and 6 chopped garlic cloves, and a few slices of ham. I cooked the soup in my Instant Pot Mini and it was done in 10 minutes... although I cooked the black-eyed peas in the Instant Pot Mini first by themselves for 1 hour. I have never had any luck with black-eyed peas until doing that this year! They were a bit overdone, but I much prefer that to a hard dry bean! I had some steamed cabbage that I had cooked a few days before and some mashed potatoes. Now I didn't eat this all at one sitting! HaHa! I cooked all this on New Year's Eve so I wouldn't have anything to do on New Year's Day, but warm it up. My Grandma used to say, whatever you do on New Year's Day you will do for the rest of the year. Happy New Year Mr. Tom.
For New Year's Day, I had some sweet potato 1/4"cubes from the food pantry, some leftover diced ham chunks from the Christmas dinner, & some low sodium canned corn kernels!! For desert I had some holiday season fancy cookies made by my German from Russia genealogy club!! Wishing all a new year full of hope & stamina!!
I am sure glad I told him tonight that is looks delicious I don’t be sure I’ve asked at recipe to my husband can’t complain about that one hello Mr. Tom I forgot to say that a kitty crawl I enjoy watching your show and hear you talk about places. Hello Mr. Tom. Happy New Year to you & the kitty crew. I'm glad to view another little ole country kitchen video. I'm gonna try Mr. Tom's famous crockpot recipe. It looks delicious. I like the way you prepared & explained the recipe step by step. Well you & the kitty crew take care & enjoy your meal. From Texas. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥰
Thank you, Mr. Tom! That looks delicious! I started a small batch of sauerkraut on NY's Eve, and it should be ready in a day or so. This will be a perfect dinner since the weatherman says North Florida is going to be getting some cold temps!
Hi, 👋 Mr. Tom. I spent mine eating fridgerator clean out. Yep. Leftovers. For 3 days. I had spaghetti squash and meat sauce with freezer sliced peppers 🌶️ and onion. Latkes, chocolate glazed gf cake donuts ( especially tasty) w mint flavoring and homemade chocolate glaze. Fried chicken. Fried cream cheese with blackberry "jelly" in a rice wrapper ( yummo). Cumin Rice w bits of fried chicken and a sour cream with dill and lime juice "sauce topper". Yep. Leftovers plus the rest of fried channukkah foods.
You are a right find cook. Looks delicious. Making me hungry. I leave my potatoe skins on also. That's were all the vitamins are. During World War 2 that's what the American prisoners lived on. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
Happy New Year 🎉Mr Tom, I hope you have a wonderful year, I hope that you're updated soon about your results from your doctor, you let us know how you're doing on that. Much love❤❤ good wishes to you in 2025🎊
Looks like a no fail, smells great and tastes even better one Mr. Tom. Thanks 👍🏻 I love using the crock pot it's a day of delicious scent as well as a great prep ahead meal.😊 We had navy beans with a meaty ham bone going all new years eve night so yummy. Collards donated by my neighbor who cooks them so well and, of course cornbread too. Ever grateful. God bless you Mr Tom and the knew too.🙏🏻💞🙏🏻
I made a stir fry with sausage, diced kale and collards from the garden, 2 potatoes, chopped garlic and onions. Ate on it for 2 days. I do the same thing with potatoes, soaking and rinsing removes the starch. Darn, wish I would have thought of sauerkraut. I have a small jar about half full in the refrigerator! I would have to have bread and butter to go with that meal. Thanks for more cooking ideas. It's really hard to cook for one. Happy New Year to you, the kitty krew and Ms Gracie, queen of the house.
We made a shrimp meal that we love. It is easy and does not take long to make on the stove top. Had it over spaghetti noodles. Also added some cranberry/blueberry sauce. We vary is what we have each new year. Last new year we had pizza. Your crockpot meal looked delicious. We use our crockpot for making a lot of meals also. Take care.
Wow. Yesterday I put together the same ingredients. 😮. So good. Put in some black-eyes as well. Yummo !! Happy Newest Year, Mr. Tom. 🎉 And yes, we are still here with good reason. To be good and to help others. Much love & many blessings from central, snowy Indiana. ❤
Haaappy New Year, Mr. Tom! Hope it's a good year for you, and for all of us. I confess, I sort of forgot about that special new year dish of black eyes and collard greens. That's okay. I don't anything for New Year's anyway. I think it's spooky. Hugs!
I just may try this Mr. Tom. I'm not one for sauerkraut and sausage but maybe trying something new is good. Sauerkraut is a probiotic so it's also very good for you. You also made this in an organized manner, which I like! Happy New Year. Patricia
