Tracie I just love your car chats! You are so on point; we have to have our own personal relationship with Jesus. Also, I’m struggling to make changes in my eating too. The Holy Spirit is dealing with me about it, but it is hard. However, I am more than a conqueror thru Christ Jesus, so I know I’ll get the mastery over it, praise the Lord! Happy Mother’s Day! Haven’t been to KI in years. My favs were the logs, the Viking ship, bumper cars, the ride where the floor went away from under you, but they got rid of that, the spider…I think that was the name of it. I couldn’t figure out why the LaRosa’s pizza at KI tasted better than all the neighborhood LaRosa’s. I don’t like rollercoasters, but I was one this date and thought I was going to be brave and cute and ride The Beast…..well let’s just say he never asked me out again…LOL.

I just love you, my Sister in Christ. You're such a blessing.
You're so very right. I tell people in re: to my family that "You can't get into Heaven on a Harris scholarship!;" that we all must go to God for ourselves.
There are going to be MANY sad and shocked people on Judgment Day, since many people believe their acts and works, I.e., doing "good deeds" and/or being a "good person," are going to get them into Heaven; this is what society suggests. The world believes EVERYBODY is going to Heaven without understanding Heaven is a prepared place for prepared/saved people. They don't understand that we're all God's creation, but we're not all God's children...
One of the things I love about Joel Osteen's teaching is he emphasizes the importance of living for and having a true relationship with Christ while we're on earth, since this is the way to Heaven; because when we die, it's too late.
Further, I love candy, ice cream, pizza, fried chicken and sweets, in general! I also love McDonald's! I don't eat fast food often, but when I do-now in my older years-it bothers my stomach. So, fruits, vegetables and nuts-which I love, too-dominate my diet.
The key is eating the things you love in moderation and small portions. I don't believe in depriving myself of things I love to eat. This would make me crave them even more. Hence, I refuse to give up ANYTHING completely, since such a goal is unrealistic.
Further, life is short, hence we must enjoy it without harming ourselves, or others. Good and tasty food is a huge part of this in ALL cultures.
Thank you Sis! Yes- we must believe, confess, have a relationship with, live for and “do” for the Kingdom! Amen 🙏🏽 I agree Tanisha! There are so many YUMMY things to “responsibly” indulge in, Lord help us! ☺️💗
