The trip computer on the centre dial can be configured to display what you want - including the speed... So this criticism is not founded.
I know it's a two years since you posted this but I'm going to be test driving a second hand version this morning and this was valuable information!

@@craigstevenson7708 I did, very good car imo. Reliability wise we had 1 issues where the handbrake wouldn't release in the middle of a drive through with full Christmas shopping in the back. Although a drama at the time we returned it to get repaired under warranty and not had an issue since. Been Yorkshire to Somerset and back without issue - I'd recommend tbh.
@@RoyGibson hmm okay, I think I wouldn't be able to get one as the nearest dealer to me is 3 hours away so if anything did go wrong is would be a huge hassle

@@craigstevenson7708 if it's any consultation I suspect the issue was due to the previous owner doing short trips with it. A car will breakdown at somepoint no matter which you get. But all the best on your search.
Much better looking than my WELL BUILT, RELIABLE 500L I will put it on my list when its time to trade in! only a badge snob would call this car junk

+STEVEN MAIL sorry pal but no! my comments are based on the FACT that I`ve spent a lot of time behind the wheel of numerous makes of vehicle in 23 years of cab driving everything from a Rover Maestro to E class Mercedes covering well over a million miles and I stand by my comments on my wifes 500L you are of course entitled to your own opinion as I am mine
+Anthony Smith Looks like JD. Power may have a different "opinion" than you, for Fiat was the lowest scoring car manufacturer in the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study. www.jdpower.com/press-releases/2015-vehicle-dependability-study Let's not confuse perceptions and opinions with facts.
+Rod Rosales-List but as with all surveys that simply applies to those who took part. It is not a survey of all Fiat 500 owners around the world. Also consider that the top reported issues were Bluetooth pairing/connectivity and built-in voice recognition systems misinterpreting commands which hardly makes for an "unreliable" car. The other thing of note is that 2015 survey you linked to relates to cars built in 2012 not 2015/2016.
If you don't like the Fiat 500 that's fair enough, we all have our car preferences but that survey is not representative of the car that is on test here or of where Fiat are today, in 2016.

Torn between this and the Mokka X. Had a Fiat 500 sport which I loved, too slow though and suspension was so hard. Now really put off by 500x by the mention of hard suspension. Damn.
Just want to correct you on the Captur boot size. Is not 100 liters more. IIt s 27Lt more and only when we sacrifice the space for the passengers in the back by pushing the back seats forward

The boot is very small. Can only fit one full size suitcase!

Michael Brown correct actually... I hired one for a month last summer and because of the sloping shape of the tailgate could only fit one full size suitcase laid flat and one smaller case on top. Had to transport our other full size cases in the front seat and on the rear seat.
ray dollars you fit a small car on top?! That's pretty spacious! LOL
I own this car. I typically put plenty of luggage and items in the trunk.
