Actually boil a large pot of water and pour it down the drain once a week until your drain works well. Unless you have a clogged drain it works wonders. I now do it once a month. As someone else said in the comments, stop putting grease and oil down the drain. We use paper towels to clean oily or greasy pots before washing them. It's just maintenance.

Мне уже не один сантехник говорил, что пролив горячей водой может наоборот навредить. Это сначала она горячая, а в итоге эта смесь воды и жиры застывает и образовывает "пробку". Поэтому лучше "троса" ничего нет. Ну и жир с посуды лучше салфеткой предварительно удалить.

@@michaelf6705 Absolutely. Pour out the hot grease into your cans or containers first. When it's time to wash or clean the pans wipe the residue with paper towel first then wash.
For the drain I use two tablespoons of baking soda, glass of white vinegar and a kettle of hot water. It will only take me a few minutes to unblock my drain.

I wash dishes by hand but I strain the wash water through a hand held strainer because the sink strainer doesn’t strain out enough yet I still had clogged drains. I definitely do not have grease in the drain. I strain grease into a jar and freeze it until it’s full then throw it out. I also scrape or wipe with a paper towel any plates, utensils, bowls or pans before washing. The clogs are caused by hair going down the drain and lint from your washing machine, toilet paper, feces, hair, as well as soaps, conditioners and any other thing you might wash or rinse out in your sinks. I suggest using an inexpensive drain snake say every 6 months may help keep on top of it. Don’t use it in your toilets tho because it’ll scratch the heck out of the enamel. Dish soap can work wonders with hot water. Pour in the dish soap and leave it sit for a good while before adding the hot water.

I put vinegar about a cup in each drains in my home every 4 months including the toilets. Overnight not using the sinks & toilet not flushed I do this just before I go to sleep & next day run hot water in the toilet I put a little dove soap & boiling hot water.
I appreciate this.
Toilet whenever needed if family puts too much paper I do the same not over night.

Когда я чищу чайник от накипи( кипячу с лимонкой) , то перед тем как вылить эту воду в раковину, я насыпаю в слив соды. Потом выливаю чайник с лимонной кислотой. Эффект потрясающий. И чайник чистый и вода с лимонкой даром не пропала.

The best thing to do is to wipe the plate clean into the garbage before you put them in the sink on the dishwasher I'd rather spend the money on paper towels than a plumber plumber

Depending on family size, once a week or monthly put 1/2 cup of good dishwashing liquid in the toilet bowl (second floor if 2-storey house) at night when pretty much everyone's out for the night. It will gradually work its way down the pipes, and next morning when the flushing starts will wash on out to the sewer. If you have a septic tank, be careful to add about a cup of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in the toilet next day; detergents aren't good for septic systems but the bacteria thrive on the alcohol, so it's a good follow-up remedy.

@@CleanMasterHomeliquid plumber isn't so good for the pipes. This method has the advantage of being more neutral,less corrosive. It is a LOT of detergent,though.
Once a month I pour a 4 pound box of baking soda down each drain followed by a few minutes of hot water . Then a gallon of white vinegar down each one also , all of this before sleeping for the night .

В современной канализации все раструбы соединины резиновыми кольцами( прокладки) так вот когда я второй раз применил эту смесь, рехинки начали протекать - пришлось менять всю канализацию. Стаж работы сантехником 30 лет, прежде чем применять читайте отзывы.
