I can definitely attest to their warranty. They have the most upfront and easiest warranty I’ve ever used. As soon as a tool breaks you take a quick picture and email it to them and they respond with a shipping confirmation. Tekton tools have earned my business.
I saw this breaker bar the other day and it is massive. Looked and feel really well made. If I had a need for a 3/4, I would not hesitate to buy this bar.
Buy a tool box and learn what China smells like,it took a month to air it out, truth be told, I'm probably just used to the stink and my clothes stink at this point, God bless
For when you're REALLLLLLY sick of a fastener's shit. P.S.: Don't forget the Swiss and the Czechs! They make some badass things too. The Icon tools are generally fantastic. The people who make them should be proud of their work, seriously.
I don't know about you guys, but I HATE using OEM tire change tools supplied with a vehicle. They are often very CHEAP and very CRUDE. When you need them, its often a stressful situation. When trying to fumble around with sub-par tools in the middle of the night or on the side of a highway it becomes exponentially more difficult. When I saw this breaker bar the first thing that came to mind was "this is the ultimate tire change tool"... I actually carry the Pittsburgh Pro 1/2" breaker bar and a 22mm deep socket in my vehicle for that specific reason. LoL
That is true although I believe some old pickup trucks did come with 4-way wrenches which aren't so bad. I do know that Toyotas and some Nissan's came with multi-stage journaling Jack's what's look like hydraulic jacks but use a screw threads inside and they were some of the nicest to ever come with vehicles little brown jacks I've done it video about them.
I saw it the other day, pretty beefy. I can definitly use this tool for heavy truck repairs instead of placing a pipe on a shorter breaker bar that's thinner. The pice is not bad plus coupon, I plan on purchasing it.
HF by my house smells of burnt rubber still but is nicely offset by all the car wash soap that someone managed to knock of the shelf. Thanks for the reviews keep em going
To be nosey, I checked the thickness of the forks on my USA made Matco 36" 3/4" breaker bar. The fork thickness is just short of 5/8" thick on each side.
Snap on now sells a 36inch 1/2breaker bar and the has a 1/2" drive male piece that gets hammer in or out if it breaks... They designed that to be the failure point being such a long breaker bar on a 1/2" drive tool. I think its cool that if you brake the anvil that they can just tap a new one in.
Is the perfect 1/2" breaker bar the 3/4" ICON 36" Breaker bar with the Snap On 3/4" to 1/2" reducer? The Snap On reducer is rated at 466 ft lbs. I believe..
Thanks for this video -- I just spotted this at my local HF, and I'm thinking about using the current "20% off All Icon Tools" coupon to get this breaker bar. It was between this one and the Tekton, but I like the smaller head on the Icon versus the larger head on the Tekton in case I need to use a reducer in a tight space (I'm a woman/not very strong, so it would be nice to have more torque even using 1/2" sockets!). But the Tekton is a good deal, too. I watched both of your videos (Icon and Tekton) and really appreciate your review and comparison.
That is a massive size breaker bar. There has been suggestions to icon to make a swivel head on their breaker bars as Justin Dow actually created one in his shop check out the video it's really good. Up until the end of this month there is a 20% off coupon on icon. I own there colored sockets as I cannot see the small lettering on the standard silver ones by having them in colors I can determine what size is what I have not broken any as of this point but they're easy to return that is why I like Harbor Freight but they are getting retractive on there free giveaways.
Don't buy much from harbor freight. I got a Snap-on 36" 1/2 drive breaker bar used for $100. Seems like harbor freight qulity had gone up a little but price have gone up a lot and that's a problem for a company cutting out there base customer.
Was at the store today and they had it miss labeled as $50 on my way home I was so excited I researched it and realized that they probably thought it was the 1/2" breaker bar and sold it to me for cheap, with all the money I spent there, I don't feel to bad, anybody would have grabbed it for $50, I even put stuff back cause I wanted it, I wouldn't spend $90 on it, I feel bad about it

I bought one and it truly is perfectly made. The chrome is flawless. If the steel strength is as good as it's looks; this is a winner.
Interesting: Tiawan, USA, Germany, and Japan. Never realized this till now. Great insight, and video, Ty.

Nice tool. Bigger than anything I need. Good review! My HF store still smells like burnt rubber.
Now that's funny!

PB Swiss and Wera are the bombs for screwdrivers
Thank you for the great review! There is a Harbor Freight store opening in my area in early February-Can't wait! I may have to pick one of these up.

Same here. Breaker bar and socket all the way.
@Hell's favorite Salty Masshole i just keep a electric impact in my car.
Harbor Freight is getting pretty uppity!
Fine work & fit for the job.Lengthy assistance strength appreciated by ladies.

These sat in the back for weeks at my store. They were just added to the shelf in a recent reset of the icon section.
As always great content. Thanks

Matco tools are really nice I only have a couple of them. Even my Proto 3/4 inch spinner handle breaker bar only has 3/8 thick fork tines.
Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍

They've had that for a long time which I like they've been using it in their heavy-duty reducers

Great short explanation the difference between Taiwan and China. Taiwan inherited a lot of workmanship from Japan from World War II.

Love me some Harbor Freight.

Good information
I was looking at this today, I almost grabbed it! 🤯
They should have a Catus Maximus series of tools at Harbor Freight
.
nice breker bar, I need a matching one to remove the axel nut from my car
I have the 40" Tekton. Half the price, good enough for occasional use
Have transitioned to 3/4" drive for my rachet and there is nothing it won't go through.
I seen this at my local harbor freight and couldn't pass it up.
How did it hold up?
That thing is a beast.
And its lifetime warranty,, i found 1 of those broken in a wrecked semi, took it in, swapped it out for free.
$60.00 for the Tekton braker bar, just got one.
You need to get a clip on mic or something because when you move it gets faint.
Head is a bit massive, that's what she said
My ten year old kid would have said it first and doesn't have a clue what it means, but it makes his dad laugh
Don't drop those on the cat!
No,, DROP those on the cat XD
OK, when the hell will they make a rachet?? 😡

For 90 $ that not worth it

The icon bar sucks
