Hey, isn't it easier to use the Short Exact Sequence Lemma/Result? It states that in a SES which looks like 0 -> M1 -> M -> M2 -> 0,
M is noetherian iff M1 and M2 are noetherian. This also proves the converse, since there is equivalence in the Lemma/Result
