5:08 point of correction, OPPOSITE from Ummoiner Sacco won the competition " KENYA 1" (2022 and 2023)
Matatu comes from 'Mapeni Matatu' means three pennies, which is what Kenyans used to pay as far back in the 70's
Good history lesson
The artwork looks pretty dope, like literally next level.
Very nice. 🎨
love Nairobi 🔥🇰🇪

Wow Coop. You started a tour business👏 I wish you much success.
👍🏾
A matatu is the name that's given to all the public service vehicles i.e the buses, the 14seater vans,all...whether having art or not. The public service vehicles that have art, loud music in them are called Nganya. But all are still matatus
Mr Coop ni Kadinya mbaya anawakula sana
😂😂
Wee wacha ghai😂😂😂😂, ati kadinya....@Coop, This guy is insinuating something in a funny way ...Ask Wangechi to translate 😅
Walai. Huyo Wangeci amemkula sana
The louder the matatu and grafitti, the popping the matatu 💯

Very nice interview... Thanks for sharing the information...I also enjoyed your interview with Auston H... Happy to see you guys doing this traveling..I left full love and support... Just starting my YT journey...
Wow, the matatus have evolved! I lived in Nairobi around 20 years ago and back then Matatus where all the size of a minibus like the one passing by in 06:38 . Kibaki the president back then, had made a new law, that all matatus had to have a yellow line in the middle and only 11 people (as far as I remeber it was 11 ...) were allowed to ride them. The loud music has always been a thing, also with the small ones back then. Before Kibaki, the matatus where in all sizes and the people allowed on where limitless, so it was also more dangerous, if the driver wanted to make more money, he would allow more people on then there were seats, and they would stand inside or hanging out the side door. - I hope you can understand my english.

Matrix
It's amazing that the "Jesus " bus has a white Jesus
👀
Colonialism my sis they brainwashed our ppl gave us the bible took our land and left us with a white Jesus but we got our freedom and land back the Jesus part we are working on it😂😂😂
The Kenyan society isn't as racialized as the American society. In Kenya, Jesus is just Jesus, irrespective of what skin colour he has. Remember the words of MLK?
Correction: kalimani is for the middle class.
Good job!
we Nairobians love our matatus
Opposite was the one voted as Kenya one
Where is Wangachi???
Handling her business, what do you think!
You sound mentally unstable
Matatu culture
1st one was opposite. Matrix won nothing😅
She's quit informed
👍🏾
Matrix did not win shit last year 😂
another lie,why aren't their queues in those "popular" matatus yet super metro has endless queues all day
Not every stage\hood queues... even supermetro only has queue during rush hour especially from 3pm
definately you picked the wrong person for this tour guide work,,😂😂
Why???
Why’s that Stanley? What did I disappoint you with?😂😂😂
@PambaArnolda giving false info , Matrix gari ya juzi imeshinda kenya 1 lini 😂
@@this.maybe_Brandon which one according to you is number one? Did you watch the entire video? For your information those new ones are the ones that come complete and win

You took a village girl to take you out in Nairobi 😢
Oh Wow 😊thanks for the compliment City boy.
Hii roho chafu itakumaliza I pity you
Pia Mimi nataka unipeleke 😉@@PambaArnolda
your guide is totally clueless, she kept saying old people are the one avoiding loud matatus that is a lie,the queue at super metro with zero graffiti, zero loud music is 90% young people, find a well informed eloquent guide next time not such a clueless lady
Out of the whole edited/QUALITY video. You choose to be negative? Thanks for watching. 😎
@@COOPSCORNER that lady has a negative attitude toward old people she kept repeating it,old age isn't a disease,am going through your videos currently but this one meen too shallow
@@kevint3322I don’t have anything negative towards old people, we will all grow old someday why should I be negative about my own journey?
@@PambaArnolda please change, you hate old people.Accept to be corrected human is to error.Just rewind the video listen to every words you spoke you'll realize the mistakes you made
@@kevint3322 I wish I had time to go on judging and speculating nonsense on people like you. Thank you Deputy Jesus! I shall honor your judgement. Happy now? I hope you sleep well tonight.
Colonial mindset in Kenya is huge. Only foreign celebrities on the matatus . No local or black characters
yeeey! I have seen 5 matatus so I know a lot about kenya.
What colonial mindset are you on about? Matatu culture has every set of dynamics. Celebs, religion, anime, politicians, historians, art, culture, sports etc
Expert on Kenya....Mr know it all after only seeing afew matatus
Let’s have the conversation. 🎤
Celebrating our black pop culture and icons is a Colonia mindset? You must be on some alien drugs maybe martian marijuana 😂
Kenyans have a lot of decolonising they need to do. How she gon' so casually call a random chinese guy she sees on the street a ''brother''? Disgusting and embarrassing. Then there is the obsession with white Jesus/Mary, but that's a whole other conversation I'm not trying to have in a comments section. When Coop asked if Kipchoge is on any Matatu it just hit me that no Matatu celebrates ANY local people, even the Mau Mau..... that's sad
Kenya, especially Nairobi is Westernized so having foreign artiste on the matatu is normal. Lots of western influence
@@Layla_n It's not normal, it's mental colonisation. I'm not bothered by them having foreigners on the Matatus from their favourite TV or Movie shows, BUT celebrating the same figures the colonising missionaries brought to the continent to brainwash Africans does rub me the wrong way.
Kipchoge is on Billboards. His image is bigger in Nairobi than the matatu graffiti images
Whatever is ur experience we don't have it here. If it's racism trauma we haven't experienced, so chill bro.
Again, all the local celebrities are already celebrated in matatu culture... u haven't seen nothing yet. So stop the nonsense of decolonisation, we're free people
@@enriquekings9099 You say racism isn't a thing in Kenya, yet tribalism has affected Kenyas politics for a long time even up to now has it not? I will never stop saying Kenyans need to decolonise because I care for the mental health of my people. I'm tired of seeing the depiction of white people as holy in Kenya, I'm tired of seeing them still using British education to teach our kids, I'm tired of these pro western corrupt puppet Presidents/Politicians getting into office. A lot of Kenyans are physically free but mentally enslaved still. All these bad things happening in Kenya is self inflicted and it's time they realise that, they need to wake up.
kenya women can lie ati kenya one ni matrix
