Elephant Rajan, we have seen him many times. Its amazing to have such a creature living in our islands. What has been featured is actually, not very common. He is little shy in nature and dives as per his will. The Elephant has aged and today he has retired from doing commercial diving with travelers. Well, it again depends on his caretaker and yes the will of Rajan as well. You can almost see the joy on this beautiful animal's face as he is buoyantly weightless in the water. I ca only imagine what he must be thinking. Wonderful. Now take the restraint off his ankle and he will truly be free.
Many tourists are from Israel ,Australia ,UK and Germany , I was 1st Iranian there and I didnt found any people from middle east , However I have seen many areas in 4 Islands from rainforest to beautiful beaches even I went through the jungles in North of Andaman Islands and I have found beautiful snakes there

I hate how all the lovely creations of the world are getting extinct. All that remains are the selfish, destructive, inhuman human species, making this planet hell.
If anyone is still here after 10 years, please reply to me! How is it possible in decades of swimming in the ocean, Rajan has never been attacked by sharks? Did they rather avoid him because of his enormous stature and weight of several tons? Or why? No matter how big a land animal is, sharks are the masters in the ocean.
I just saw a documentary about african people who sailed to andaman island, witch now is part indian, but from many years ago when the island was closer to Africa, it is said their was elefants swimming from africa to andaman island and so did the people. n since u like elefants i allso seen a video they talked about elefants lived in syria back when the pharaos rules i think that was a little nice :)
Ivory costs not some cash, it costs a huge amount of money. Ivory trade makes anormous profit. But anyway, you're right, these majestic creatures shouldn't be killed at any cost.
He is retired now. He had been working transporting wood pretty much his while life. The new owners bought him and nowadays all he does is swim. And he is old as hell. 65 years old now. It is way cutter then carrying thousands of kilograms.

Im not saying this is the reason for the restraints? But elephants have drifted off in the currents and ended up miles offshore..

Unfortunately, Rajan (Elephant) was passed away on August and he was the only ocean swimming elephant in the world.
