I love your channel, you are a great teacher. Thank You for making all your videos. I have a few questions. How much money do you think is efficient to make 2,000 a month selling putts? Do you have any classes that you offer that can help me while placing the trade? Do you suggest moving the money from my reg investments account ( fidelity) to another platform like robin hood? Lastly, I have money that needs to be invested. I ultimately want to put the majority of the money in VTI and since I plan on letting that invest for at least 10 years, can you suggest a way to invest once to make the maximum premium ?

Thanks for your kind words Robin. Unfortunately, it’s hard to say how much you need to earn 2k a month as it all depends on how much risk you’re willing to take. Each stock, ETF, strike, and expiration all have their own premiums. You could earn 1% if the option expires worthless, or 10%+. So there’s too many factors to say.
My best advice is to paper trade first. Learn the system and how it works, then decide for yourself- say after you lost 4-5 trades, how much you’re willing to invest.

How much capital do you need to commit to get $2k/ week without leverage?
Depends on volatility! When markets are going down, maybe $20k margin is enough.
I have found that $25,000 is a good start. It grows quickly, but patience is everything when you begin playing this game. @@RickOrford

Can you please create a video on selling a put, you then get assigned, and the stock descends rapidly.
I sold 1 $230 Albemarle put, it was assigned to me in out-of-hours trading.
Very quickly the stock descended.
Now the stock is $122.60 [16 November 2023].
How do I rescue this position?.

Hi! If you’re selling a cash secured put, and you’re assigned, you’ll be buying 100 shares of the underlying times the number of contracts sold. Of course, you can close out your CSP using a buy to close order- on the same underlying, strike and expiration.
