I had a few questions I’ve been very interested in doing powder coat on my wife’s ar but the reviews on doing are all over the place. When doing you upper and lower was there any clearance issues?
Nope, as long as you know what you’re doing and mask properly everything will go together perfectly. I’ve done 3 so far with no issues, however I will say cerakote is a lot more forgiving.
YESSS THE GREATEST MOST TALENTED GUN MAN/UA-camR UPLOADED🙌🙌🙌🥺🥺😭😭 best day ever. God I freaken love love LOVE that beautiful bronze, its definitely my favorite by far😍🔥🔥 Keep up the great work!!
UA-cam won’t let me link anything gun related, but it was originally just a standard carbine upper with Magpul furniture. Took it off and put on a 15” Aim Sports hand guard
If you plan on doing firearms, it’s a lot of tedious masking with powdercoat. Cerakote is easier to use on guns and typically it’s what you’ll see. People have mixed opinions on if powder is good for guns but at the end of the day as long as you mask it properly it’s just as good!
What would ya charge to do a handguard.. I got one of the palmetto lowers that made fun of Joe biden a cpl yrs ago..finally building it..have a custom pistol grip being made..filled in all lettering and picture on lower with fingernail polish.. but I'd like the barrel and handguard powdercoated as ridiculous as possible.. orange purple green whatever..all the colors? Etc..just something stupid...
Normal prices would be around $60 for the hand guard and about the same for a barrel. If you wanted the barrel done it would likely need to he cerakoted because it withstands heat a bit better
Thanks for making this video’ your rifle turned out great. Im going to powder coat my 8.6blk build soon. How well does the powder coating hold up? Im only curious because I’m doing it no matter how well it holds up. The color I want isn’t available in the typical gun coatings plus I can buy a powder coating gun and the powder for less than what people want to cerakote guns where I live. I have access to a blasting cabinet and the oven so it won’t be too expensive.
It holds up great! Be extremely cautious and tedious when you mask it off if you decide to powdercoat instead of cerakote. Powder is a lot thicker and if you don’t mask it properly it will mess up your tolerance and you won’t be able to put everything back together. If that scares you away from it, you could always buy an HVLP gun for cheap and cerakote it yourself with the same process, plus you won’t even need to blast or mask nearly as much. Powder isn’t the industry standard due to the thickness, but if you take your time it won’t give you any problems.
Badass🔥 It looks incredible, you guys are doing great! Cant wait to see your business grow, you’ve got serious talent!
Tbh while watching I wanted to say some 🤬 but the ending was beyond beautiful. If I could I’d give it 5 stars. Good 👍 stuff (content) !

When doing the lower what, if anything did you have to plug or tape off?
Every little hole and opening. Lots of masking required with powder coat, cerakote doesn’t take much
How many pounds did you need for complete project?
Which upper did ya get with PSA or can you add the link

@@TicklerNick the thing is how good performs standing scratches and corosion over time
@@enaliospearfishing I haven’t had any issues with scratching on any firearms I’ve done myself, too early to tell about corrosion on the other hand
