Is it just me that thinks there’s nothing quite like watching someone who really knows how to wrap a set of bars properly
😁👍🏼
Just you.
I can wrap bars properly. I just hate doing it.
Twisted Wheels did a custom Crux with internal cables. Looks fantastic
As a home mechanic who builds up his own bikes from the frame, it's nice to know even the pros run into challenges.
excellent bike mechanic👍
Cool. Been building bikes and riding bikes for decades. So what does it say, that I STILL enjoy watching content such as this…!
Brown is a legend, loved the Shiv build and now this! ETA: Yes, someone has done a fully internally routed Aethos and it is something to behold.
Awesome build,brown what a nice guy.👍🏼
He does a very nice job on the finishing.
Love that paint job!
S-works and you have to face the brake mounts. Where exactly does the money go?
Amen to being a Shimano fan 😍
Ooo excited to see what we have here
Brownie lad, get the Shimano TLBH63 fercryinootlood!!
You want the SPDs with a surrounding frame. The OR shoe has a soft sole for walking. It's like a tiny pedal that creates a pressure point.
The option is to use a road shoe with a conversion plate. The rigid sole will distribute the pressure. It is lighter as well even with the adapter.
Interested to see how you get along with the grx dropper lever in use.
On some older gravel builds I've done similar by removing the ratchet from a normal left shifter so it can freely actuate the dropper. Interested to see how the purpose made lever compares
Tasty colours on the frame . Got a challenge to co-ordinate skid lid shoes and clothing..
Relatable…good fun…real.
Emporia, Kansas is where the dirty Kanza (or whatever it’s called these days) is held.
Tell me you're a cyclist & coffee enthusiast.... when you measure your seat post with a set of timer scales from your Rocket machine. lol. x
The clutch adds some resistance when shifting, which can be noticeable with mechanical. But it won't add resistance to pedaling.
I suspect you were talking about the "Carbon-Ti" brand rotors, if so the braking surface is still steel, but they use titanium rivets.
i can understand the aversion to SRAM when using 2x, the front mech even with the newest iteration is still a sore spot. 1x though, SRAM etap has historically been damn near bulletproof.
Alex have you tested the disc rotor aero cover on the wind tunnel? What were the results?
What are those aero carbon Rotors called? And were can I buy them?
They look sick!
Pretty sure you can fit a microspline cassette onto a HG freehub body. Unless something is different with 12spd GRX
oi Dowsett... don't you owe us a Track bike video, mate?... 😜
I ride 165mm on TT and 170 on the road. If its good enough for me you’ll be fine 👍😂
You forgot to mention that the 12 speed GRX is currently cable only. No di2 option yet.
🫵🏻 You should edit out the horse whinnies 🙉
Wish you would/could talk about your experiences that made you dislike sram!
Awesome Bike!!! Looking forward to more Gravel from Alex this year :) Question though, for the garmin power pedals they have a 53mm q factor. do you find that works for you or do you need spacers to bump them out at all?
Mechanical cables running through an aerobar, is that going to be ok?
I hate to second guess a pro mechanic, but it doesn't look like Brown was using the HAG correctly. You should measure distance at a fixed point on the rim as it is rotated. Brown was measuring different points on the rim. If the wheel was out of true, bending the hanger is the wrong solution.
I get your point, but if the wheel is true it works fine.
What was that pump head you used at 1:03:00 ???
It's the pumphead of the PRO Compressor Team tire booster
Sweden? Cykelvasan?
Whats this geezers hourly rate?
