It's not thd first time that I read someone saying we and Angola is tops. Today I saw a video of Laurent of Les Twins doing Afro dancing in London at Piccadilly circus. They love Afrpobests but it's just still not us. But in that vid I recognized him doing our moves with our beats mixed with some contemporary. When I searched the song he danced to it was Matimba from Afro Panico. I recognized the word because it's used in some if our languages. Turned out the artist are from Angola. So yes our footwork is really crazy. It's the only time I see Les Twins not doing our styles exactly like us because of the footwork. It's something that you have to learn from South Africans because its very deceptive. One day when they come down to us they will be shocked at how my people really dance. It's crazy. We just need some tweaking here and there.
That's the essence of HIP HOP! It's a global energy that you're a part of even if you call it something else. It's a concept, a feeling, an expression of self!
Its crazy how many new dances and music have come up since the date of this video upload. South Africa continues to create great music, dances and a great vibe.
