I made that "I'M F**KING INVINCIBLE" to play each time Torrasque reincarnates in the game. It motivates you to charge with the Torrasque.
Also the briefing room is a mess because of the UED using the Psi Disruptor on the Overmind.

This entire story is basically Daggoth trying to protect his rebellious adopted son from an army of drug pushers.

Yes, there aren't specifics on the subject. My thinking/theory goes as follows:
The Overmind's overriding directive is genetically encoded.
As the Cerebates, being handmade by the Overmind, were subservient to the Overmind so was the Overmind a slave to its directive.
Therefore Cerebates are also indirectly a slave to the directive.
When the Overmind was slain Daggoth's first instinct, as the head Cerebrate, was to order the merger. This establishes two things:
(1) Cerebrates have the same DNA as the Overmind (At least potential, as in "Dormant DNA" or Junk DNA).
As it would be impossible to form a second Overmind without the Cerebrates having the genetic blueprint in its physiology to biologically transform into it.
(2) If both Cerebrates and the Overmind share that same DNA then the overriding directive is likewise genetically encoded into the Cerebrates although dormant as their function is to answer directly to the Overmind.
@@ATUQ777 well there is one hole in that theory it wasn't a intictual thing soo much as daggoth knew if there was no overmind any cerabrates that die would stay dead hence why he ordered the other cerebrates to merge on char since the overmind designed them to have a symbiotic bond with it, otherwise if daggoth could self resurrect without needing a overmind he probably wouldnt have made one.

I'm really digging this new Daggoth campaign so far. A shame he didn't get any screentime in Brood War. Though, I low-key wish Kerrigan had shown up in this one for a two-front war.
I kinda wish Daggoth and the remaining Zerg under his command showed up in Omega, knowing they’re going to die without the Overmind but wanting to take Kerrigan with them.

The screwy Zerg briefing theme in the background is a nice touch, I didn't notice it right away but still felt like something was off.

The fact that the psi disruptor makes the Overmind sing Oshi no Ko lyrics from the disruption. I like to think the disruption forces the Overmind to reach back into the deeper areas of its mind like recalling suppressed memories. This can either imply that the Overmind had a weeb phase or, the funnier option, the Xel’naga were weebs and thought it’s be hilarious if they filled the Overmind with anime shows and references because why not
Last of all, Dugalle jamming in the end.
What if the Xel'Naga were on Earth and they indeed studied weeb culture... right before the Terran government wiped out them out

Poor DuGalle, forced to offer his surrender twice in a campaign - first to Mengsk, and then to an oversized mishmash of shrimp and brain matter. No wonder he chose to shoot himself in the end.

It wouldve been funny if during the briefing, Daggoth's icon kept talking while the overmind was confused, similar to how Mengsk's speech was cut off by the adjudant

I just watched a video on TF2 Carameldancen meme before watching this one. I was wondering why the overmind was saying until it all clicked---thank you for the laugh !
So the new overmind has taken control of the UED via use of neurostim drugs. Didn't expect that, but it *amusingly* explains what is the reason we will play as combined zerg-terran forces.
But also, no psi disrupter installation mission...STUKOV LIVES!

Please tell me these briefring memes were added to the reversed missions, or that the author is considering rereleasing with them included.
This series makes me realize that reversed campaigns could have been a thing since ever, like bonus content after completing the main game where the devs laughs over their own creation.

I do have to wonder about the Psi Disruptor... did Stukov just lift the entire building into a Battlecruiser or something and place it on Braxis or did he dismantle it and rebuild it? Because the Psi Disruptor level is a massive installation level (then again, a Science Vessel can be an entire level so maybe the Disruptor can fit in a Battlecruiser's cargo bay)
Or would it be that the Psi Disruptor equipment was taken down and put together in an already-erected facility on Braxis and plugged in?
Yes, it was disassembled into pieces and then shipped to Braxis for reassembly.

Yeah but was the whole building shipped in pieces... in secret? Because imagine trying to carry all that out and losing a few boxes in transit... no wonder the Zerg broke into the facility. Someone probably lost a few nuts and bolts.
@@stylesrj Good point on the practicality of removing only the technical equipment of the Psi Disruptor as the non-technical framework (base and hull) could have been easily rebuilt with schematics. Moreover, as you've mentioned, it would greatly facilitate the success of a covert shipment to Braxis.
Regardless if the Psi Disruptor was shipped whole or only it's essentials - Stukov's Personal Elite Guard, which must possess transport ships and at the very least a designated space on (a) Battlecruiser(s), would be in complete charge of the covert undertaking.
As shown in the mission Patriot's Blood, Stukov's men are loyal and solely obedient to him as they fight fellow UED troops in his defense, hence they obeyed his disassembly and shipment instructions unfalteringly and did not blown their superior's cover.
so the next campaign is about Daggoth's brood and their slave UED led by a drugged Dugalle
