Soon after we watched your previous video in northern England we received a lot of rain and low temperatures and later lambing sheep were losing lambs to the conditions and crops of spring sown barley have been drowned out and many acres have been compacted whilst taking the 1st cut of grass , I hope the rest of the summer is better for farmers everywhere.
We are very sorry to hear this! There seems to be a lot of one extreme or the other. Many states here are experiencing near record heat for several days in a row. Other states have seen significant flooding.
Thank you Abby for the crop update your corn close to home looks amazing. So sorry about the river bottom ground being a loss I hope you were able to purchase crop insurance on it to help offset the loss. God Bless you all and stay safe.
Glad your corn crop recovered!! Sorry for your bean crop loss. I lived in an area for 30+ years where I experienced hurricanes, floods, tornadoes & and the occasional earthquake. I have witnessed the power and destruction that flooding can cause. It's fortunate that yall faired as well as you did! Stay safe, post when you can and know we appreciate yall!

Abby, I have watched this last video several times. You do such a magnificent job explaining all that happened from the flooding that deluged your farm. I'm glad God has cleared up the drought situation. I pray that there will be no additional flooding on your farm, as I read there was in NORTH WEST IOWA yesterday. I have one question. Is "Winter wheat" good for anything?❤6/23/2024.

Hi 👋 Abby thank so much for telling about the flood that you had in the hell rain I hope everything will be OK and I feel sorry about your beans. Crap are all gone and yes, I noticed we are having bad weather all over the place American today is hot. I think at about 95 and I don’t remember this when I was a kid because I used to go swimming in lake every day with my neighbor my friend girl day we going in the lake the tire tube big one and I enjoyed it too bad my mother got divorce. We had to sell it nice place to live too but today I do miss my neighbor girl. I don’t remember what happened you have a nice time you stay safe take care of yourself. Happy your friend always

Hey Abby, “AMAZING” footage of the aftermath of the flash flooding…it certainly brings “home” how fragile life can be and how our faith is tested often. How much of your 600 acres was covered in water? You mentioned about the drought and possibly not making it through this year…what would have been the worst case scenario? Love to y’all 👍

It got roughed up quite a bit from the hail, but has recovered nicely. We will do an update in a video soon!
The flooding looks bad. I was hoping you didn't lose your family or home. I saw so much devastation from the tornadoes on the news.
I think the flood damage seems minimal compared to the from the tornadoes damage.
Yes, there have been a couple very devastating tornadoes in Iowa this year.

We are more central Iowa, the flooding is in the northwest corner of the state. They are saying it is worse than the flooding of '93.
