Just for clarification, the morning star of Venus is the warrior. When we interpret this in a native's chart, we might consider, as one expression of the archetype, that this placement denotes a tendency for the native's values to be readily seen---they herald the Sun, leading and setting before the Sun. This would be true for any planets that reach the Western horizon prior to the Sun. The evening star, setting after the Sun, is more receptive/reflective, so the native's values may be something we learn on closer, longer contact. Also, Aphrodite was seen to be born on the Greek island of Kythera (where she emerged from the foam of the sea and the island came to be), associated with "bringing into form", perhaps leading to our association of Venus with the beauty of form and design and with Saturn being exalted in Libra. This is an interesting take on the archetypes. I have a stellium of Venus, Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Chiron and North Node in Aries in the 8th house! I am wondering if you would agree that Venus in my chart would be considered the morning star warrior archetype you described? Some have told me my Sun would over take Venus energy..especially because of being in sign of Aries and Scorpio house...both suppose to be antithesis.
@@discerninglight1998 If the Sun is at 13 degrees and Venus at 22, then the Sun rose first. Look at the horizon in your chart and imagine each planet sitting on it in turn and moving clockwise (rising). This is "primary motion". The Sun will make its way around the chart to the Western horizon where it sets before Venus gets there. This means your Venus is an evening star. In your chart teasing out all the planets within the stellium of Aries can be complicated. Notice whether Saturn and Mercury are evening stars as well.
your moniker "Discerning Light" suggests that you're using much of that energy to illuminate the often dark matters of the 8th house, something Virgo rising might want to do, especially with Virgo/1st house's dispositor in the 8th (Mercury in Aries). Just keep in mind that whatever sign and house Mars is in disposits the stellium in Aries in the 8th.

I recently watched the episode with Arielle Guttman, where she talked about the concept of Venus Star Point, which was very interesting, but at the same time a bit confusing for me. My Venus is in Scorpio and combust the Sun (and it's house placement doesn't help, as well).
My Venus is also combust, I don't know if I have Venus as Morning Star or not, as it has not yet crossed the Asc. but it is in 1st house rising before the Sun.

Actually, the evening star is a lover and a morning star is a warrior according to the Babylonians. Inanna is a lover, which is analogues to Aphrodite, and Ishtar is a warrior, analogues to Afina Pallada. The former is a romantic archetype, the latter is a glorious and glamorous archetype symbolizing the foresight, wisdom, knowledge, strategy and courage, which are all needed to win the battles of life.

Wow - thanks for this. With Venus front and center in my chart - Ascendant, Sun and Venus all in Libra - I feel like I've won the celestial lottery. Not that everything has been delightful and easy (Saturn occupies my 5th house, keeping it real and doling out important and heavy life lessons from time to time) but it has been a very cheery and social life so far. The other gift of Venus, In addition to handing me an overall friendly vibe, is that kind and generous people often pop up in my life, especially in difficult moments. As a Venus Trine Saturn (in a night chart) the comments were very comforting about the aspect. It's the only aspect my Venus makes. (Saturn is tangled up in a lot of hot mess - mainly squares). It does bring a lot of pain :/ Saturn is not fun, especially when it comes to love. I am attracted to and have always dated older people than me. :) Ps. Also have a Libra rising. I sing and people love my singing and speaking voice in general. They say it is very sweet ;)
Yes, I too have this Venus in Aries(detriment) sextile Saturn in Aquirius also in a night chart. Learning to love myself , embracing my need to be alone. Its a process but as time goes on it gets alot better :)

44:59 imagining how to recreate astrology from scratch. Dualities were a cool mention/topic. I have also been trying to comprehend... We all have these "bits" of the other planet's energy within us, which resonates under certain planetary configurations (and angles with other planets). That same planet's field can react with it's bits which are within us. Imagine we have some proportion or spectrum of bits from all the planets. So we are internally multi-reactive, so to speak. Certain organs' or organ's cells seem to absorb (to be corelated with, or have symbolisms with) these planets' energy.

Venus in Aries opposite Saturn - it hasn't been easy in relationships (to put it lightly) but I have finally figured it out in my late thirties :). Also, I remember Christopher Warnock mentioning in a different episode that "Venus in Aries spends like a drunken sailor" and I've had some issues with that in the past as well 🤣. I think Saturn is actually now working in my favour, I feel that I've figured out most of my Venus related issues at this point. So if you are reading this and are still struggling with a similar aspect - hang in there, do not despair, you will figure it out ❤️.

What an excellent episode! Thank you, I learned so much ❤. I’d like to guess on the association of lungs - it is said in certain cultures that fear is the opposite of love. If one were to investigate the heat-map of where emotions are felt in a human body, fear is felt in the lung area predominantly. It is no surprise that people who are overwhelmed by repressed fears often suffer from asthma. I’m telling this from person experience. As fear is released slowly, love fills the lungs as a perfume of sweetness and freedom. Since Venus represents love, it is my understanding, that it represents that metaphorical perfume that lets the lungs breathe the full colours of life.
Venus in Virgo with Libra rising here. I love the eloquence of speech and vocal clarity...something many people these days neither strive towards nor possess. No foul language is also music to my ears. Respect, intelligence, relevance, knowledge and explanations to help the audience understand some of the language used. Loved it.
Oh, and my husband (10 years older than me) has his Mercury exactly conjunct (to the minute) my Venus in 11th House Pisces. We were friends first (11th House)...but we were strongly attracted to each other since we first met (I was especially attracted to his voice and his hands)...but we kept it friendly for several years before we acted on our attraction. And though we've been married now for 13 years, we still consider each other to be 'best friends' as well as 'best lovers'.

In reference to Venus ruling the Lungs- in Chinese Medicine and Five Element theory, (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth,Metal), Lungs belong to the element of Metal, which is also associated with the color white…many associations between Metal element and Venusian refinement, and love of cleanliness too. I have Venus on my Ascendant at 29 degrees in my 6th house in Pisces. She doesn't have any strong aspects, but she does square my MH, trine Pluto in the 2nd, and a few other minor aspects.
9th house Venus (conjunct Neptune) Sag here. 6th house, Saturn squaring Venus. I've been lucky in love (maybe too lucky). Found love early. Lots of lessons around integrity. Love is a mystery that keeps me in deep question. Illusionment, Disillusionment. Art lover... Also philosophically my pole star is Beauty/Harmony. This crystalized internally before I every studied astrology...
I loved this so much!! I have Venus in Taurus in the 12th house with Jupiter there. Moving into a trine with Saturn and Uranus in the 8th in Capricorn. I’ve always found it a bit difficult to pinpoint my experiences of having both benefics in the 12th house. But the best way to describe it is really wanting/needing some isolation 😂 My best ideas/inspiration come when I’m alone with my thoughts. The Venusian qualities are definitely fused with Jupiter. Fine dining, expensive attire, wanting to be surrounded by high end comfort etc. I’m more about quality rather than quantity. And usually I enjoy indulging in those things more when I’m alone haha sometimes being overindulgent. I’m an artist and I find that I’m really good at bringing others’ artistic visions to life. (8th house stuff perhaps)

Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart is such a great archetypal expression of Venus/Pluto....I noticed Britney Spears also has a tight Venus/Pluto square. I have noticed that in progressed new moon chart The ascendant, 1st house, chart ruler and its aspects and planets within affect the persons appearance significantly from the date of the new moon. Brad Pitt's natal chart doesn't explain his beauty(though the natal promise is there) He had his progressed new moon right around thelma and louise the beginning of his career taking off. His progressed new moon chart is a cap rising, libra midheaven with saturn in the second house exactly conjunct venus in the second house.) from Brad not only did brad pitt drop weight to lean up for Thelma and louise but that's when his looks began to mature and he lost his baby face and his beauty began to emerge. If you look at pics of his from his 20s compared to 30s its from his late 20s on and his progressed new moon that his looks take off and he has this blinding beauty that is all you can see in the way becca describes.
Sometimes Becca uses so many adjectives while explaining one idea I find myself a little lost. And oddly her voice and way of speaking has put me in a very calm and sleepy state. Not at all due to her being boring, on the contrary she makes beautiful points - but because she has some type of calm energy.
So interesting! I have a grand trine with Venus, Neptune, and Saturn like Tolkien (mine is in fire, not air) and I agree with the description. Same houses as Tolkien too (mine is Venus (16 degrees) in Aries in the 10th, Neptune (16 degrees) in Sag in the 6th, Saturn (9 degrees) in Leo in the 2nd). Definitely an affinity for romantic/idealistic love, butterflies are my thing, also the elementals. I have Sun (15 degrees) Venus Retrograde (16 degrees) conjunct in Aries. Also Sun/Venus opposition Pluto (12 degrees). This video has been so helpful in understanding those placements! Also, born with Venus retrograde in Aries, my progressed Venus doesn’t leave Aries until I’m 61. Spending 61 years of my life with Venus in Aries.
I’m watching at one hour and two minutes the phase in which Venus takes in relative to the sun moon and us on earth. She is taking nine months before she then goes invisible for 50 days. Which nine months is the amount of time it takes to conceive and deliver a child. Also, the moon has a lot to do with a woman’s menstruation cycles, and here the pattern in the diagram looks EXACTLY like the womb. And here when the insects make it to Venus’s sister, she is giving birth. So a child is born and through that process, came the opportunity for Venus to be reborn. Love is the way ♥️ That’s incredible. I would love to hear if someone has thoughts on that and can maybe dissect it better or differently. I love learning and concluding what visual and verbal cues collide with my own knowledge in life experience. Even more so, information i did not pick up on that others share.

“Frea” is Old English for Frigg. They’re the same goddess. But it was correct to note that she plays multiple roles: Queen of the Aesir (through the King of the Aesir, Odin / Wotan), but also shield maiden of the Vanir & ultimately a foe to Odin come Ragnarok. Friday = Frigg’s day, or more likely “Freaday,” or something similar.
I was looking forward to this podcast...and so glad you had Becca on this one! I am also a Taurus rising, guided by Venus. My Venus is exalted in 11th House Pisces, trine JupiterRx in 7th House Scorpio, square 8th House UranusRx in Sagittarius, and quintile my Ascendant. Venus rules my 1st House Chiron and my busy 6th House with MarsRx-PallasRx and SaturnRx-PlutoRx. It is very true about the Venus aspects coloring the way I express my Venus...Venus-Jupiter associations like generosity, positivity, and joyfulness are some of the words that are often used to describe me by others. And, I am attracted to unusual things/relationships and love the odd quirks of people...a Venus-Uranus trait (I'd say it also relates to valuing Astrology for me). When I became an Astrologer in 2004, I was initiated by the first Venus Transit that June...so Venus has always been integral to my Astrology practice (for many years, I simply called myself a Venusian Astrologer).
Interesting, but in the theme of Venus with Pluto, don`t forget about the presentations in litriture and films , like: Romeo and Juliette, Fatal Attraction and Dangerous Liasons (both with Glen Close), all topics have to deal with the intense and depths with fervor, inscrutable and the obsessions in the abysses of desire....all themes of Venus in inportant aspects to pluto. This was interesting and highlights it’s an ignored part of my chart. This will have a mild tie to a comment related to the red book episode because Venus is often ignored by me because I am drawn to malefic’s. Venus: conjunct mars and Pluto in libra (K:1st, W: 2nd) Trine moon in Aquarius (K:5th W:6) Semi-square sun and mercury(r) Leo (K & W: 12th) Trine Neptune (r) (K: 3rd W:4th) quintile Jupiter cancer (K & W 11th) Semi-sextile Uranus in scorpio (K: 2nd W: 3rd) Trine midheaven gemini. (No movement both house systems) (K=Koch, personally more accurate W=whole sign) I’m not a big Tolkien fan just due to not being much into fantasy, but hold respect and admiration; it’s likely due to the new Amazon series but I noticed I was listening to Tolkien lore going to sleep for a few weeks not thinking much of it until listening to the red book episode. Humorously, keeping the malefic trend, I was primarily listening to Sauron’s lore because (for some ungodly reason) it relaxes me. I only know the trilogy of films and didn’t see the hobbit, but the films had the same impact where the ring wraiths both made me interested in the story while also putting me to sleep. I started wondering “what the hell is this about?” for a few days until I listened to this episode and noticed it in the chart. One thing I’ll do with sort of isolated chart reads is I’ll focus in on a planet energy and search songs with said energy where, with this, I found a song from an ex member of nine inch nails with Jennifer Charles from Elysian Fields called Crude Sunlight; it’s one of my favorite songs while being part of a project I rarely listen to so it’s forgotten a lot. It’s finding beauty in sadness, death, rebirth, and transformation where those darker feelings are like a warm blanket on a cold day. Interestingly I’ve been into the University of Virginia Perceptual Studies for weeks and that song fits into that file which looks to be part of my Venus chart dynamic. It’s the sort of Saturn like archetype of Sauron where his existence is testing the will of mankind where all life is at a brink of extinction and life has to transform itself to overcome its shadow flaws. I’d be curious to actually look more into Becca’s archetypal studies on his books now. And, yes, just in LotR’s even with love is this intense connection between love and death which is very Pluto which may be what both surprised me and why I find them comforting. Even with Gollum, just in the movie, the way the ring corrupts him is very plutonic. I think what I liked most about this episode is use of music because I’ll use music as learning tools for either myself or others where I’ll sometimes analyze music others are listening to which insightful plus a sure way to make a person really uncomfortable to be around you. The Venus, mars, and Pluto conjunction in libra is typically the first thing others notice. House rulerships make it more bizarre when all the 12th house shows up. Leo in 12th with sun in the 12th is definitely something that’s something like something.

I really enjoy a majority of information provided by Chris and Becca. Not sure why there is an aversion to the idea of gender when it comes to the signs and planets. I did appreciate Becca's description as to how she views the idea of gender in astrology. How will removing gender or changing the definition of gender in astrology evolve it?
I have an 8th House Venus in Capricorn at 4°55" nearly conjunct the Sun placed 10°3", Jupiter retrograde has a 2nd House opposition at 29°53" of Gemini. Venus trines a 4th House retrograded Saturn placement in Virgo at 0°10", Square a 5th House NN retrograde at 10°21" of Libra, and she stands InConjunct my Ascendant at 3°49" retrograde in Gemini. (Its worth mentioning I have 7th house Neptune and Mercury placements at 16°44" , 21°8"r in Sagittarius respectively aswell I've a 5th house Virgo Moon 20°13" and Libra Pluto at 16°35") Born to an absentee father and an unloving, narcissistic, and neglectful mother, I have lived a life plagued by abusive relationships, unrequited love interests and affairs, a relentless sense of either never being good enough or just plain old too much in relationships. Ive struggled at maintaining friendships aswell though my heart has been overfilled with generous, kind, patient, unconditional love for all especially going out of my way to help strangers in need of human empathy and compassion. I posses psychic and healing abilities leading to a sense that my life's purpose is to help heal the wounded whose cross paths cross mine, often taking on more than I can emotionally endure or sustain especially considering the substantial void mostly from the lack of reciprocity and my own extensive trauma and abuse wounds in need of healing. All of this making me prone to depression, anxiety, PTSD, CPTSD, self medication, perfectionism, servitude, self sacrifice, loneliness, and introversion.

My mom has told me the same story of how she turned to look at the clock right as I was born. have asked her several times if my birth time is accurate bc it is at 11:11 and I always wanted to make sure it is correct☺️ I also loved the point Becca and Chris brought up about the fifth house not only representing children but also mothers and the process of coming into that Venusian motherly energy. I think this is an important facet of the fifth house that can potentially be applied to anyone, but perhaps could be a clue in a delineation concerning individuals who cannot have or do not want children.

Finally revisited this one, only outer planets left to finish up. Playing with lots and individual testing of ZR, I’ll kinda throw in a comment. I may be lucky with lots where they’re clustered and their rulers are also. Looking at lots: Venus and mars in conjunction (with Pluto) may be a strong focal placement and Jupiter, another. The libra venus, mars, Pluto trine moon that has chiron and uranus square… the most interesting ZR example is actually that one of my favorite albums during the taurus period was The Process by Skinny Puppy, I’ll have P symbol synchronicities that are more about reassurance in stressful times. But my favorite song that’s often related to said synchronicities is Amnesia. The lyrics are hard to understand, but it’s about amamnisis in Plato’s Phaedo. It wasn’t until getting older that I even knew the reference. 😆 Taurus 9th with chiron opposite uranus square moon trine Venus, mars. Pluto. Lots: nemesis, spirit, and necessity are in aries, exaltation is in taurus. Necessity is actually conjunct spirit. Fortune and Eros in pisces where I just noticed Eros is conjunct SN today. It wasn’t until my Saturn return (which was also my gemini period) that I revisited music I liked in my taurus period sort of “wtf?” due to so many philosophical references on subjects I wanted to learn about. I just didn’t know they were there. I’m interested in the more static nature of lots, but my own are clustered and I’m noticing by casting lots for other charts that clusters are not that normal. Still reading the archai journal on Saturn, I had to set it aside briefly to finish others. Still plan to read all journals. I’d highly suggest them to everyone. Becca is awesome, I kinda get why because of the use of arts to teach/explain. Natal chart bias.

I did find real love (and religion) in my life. At least, I wrote plenty of love songs and still a purveyor/DJ of songs. You hope that you learn from it. wonderful discussion of planet ... I think the energetic "magnetic" quality process of Venus wasn't explored to much... also the more negative aspects of Venus.. like slothfulness etc wasn't explored
Breathing stimulates the Vagus nerve which increases the parasympathetic side of things - the feel good side. Venus in Taurus H9 conjunct MC and algol (yikes). Love of foreign culture - metaphysics and philosophy. Beauty seen as expression of the Divine. Beauty as religion - can have a very Pagan feel. Beauty is Truth.
This could be the 3rd or 4th time I’ve listened to this episode. This time it’s still in my mars episode by taking ruler of spirit in consideration. As of now, it’s seemingly like an entire configuration while also simply just being the planet. Very difficult to explain. In playful language, ruler of spirit as mars is definitely mars (which feels trapped in a sign) where it’s in a submissive position with Venus in libra. Going about this in a “core” way, entire configuration while it’s core is the crude center. The only accurate way i can think of to study this is through birth charts of philosophers and types of idealists who’s thoughts are on record; good luck find pinpoint accuracy in chart data. 😆 This is a tough angle to choose, having lot of spirit opposite ruler is actually helpful because this was an active opposition right out of the gate. I can reflect to notice details and themes. Neptune is actually extremely easy to find. A song: La Mar Enfortuna - Salome. This is an extremely difficult song to find, I’ve only found it on iTunes. They’re songs performed in a somewhat modern way of lost Sephardic songs, true to religious themes, some are quite brutal. That version of Salome focuses on.. I’ll use astrological/mythological language.. the religious story is easy to find, the king who lusts after his step daughter, she lusts after a prisoner of the king. The king wanting a demonstration of a seductive dance, she makes a deal that if she’s delivered the head of the prisoner (John the Baptist), she’s perform sexual acts with it where the king can watch (her dance). It’s religious, so it’s family friendly. Mars conquest and Venus pleasure in a disturbing way. Beautiful/relaxing song until you get to the lyrics. Interesting, the point is made that she wants his head on a silver shield to symbolize the moon (who can’t turn away) so the virgin moon has to watch also. Seems completely rational to me. With stated placements, I had a hilarious situation with a libra interpretation I didn’t quite agree with where it slapped me hard in the face in terms of libra and commerce. I considered taking an art series to later convert to NFT where I decided not to because it wasn’t in the verbally agreed upon terms of creating them. It was agreed as “non profit”, it isn’t worth the trouble of getting back in contact with people to work that out; I could always return to that project with that specific intent at a later time within partnerships. I did notice the strong Neptune influence where it’s surrealist photography. The entire Venus configuration is noticeable. Even my libra snootiness related to finance showed up. “80% of the finance industry is swine feeding in the trough…” I refer to crypto as an emperors new clothes in a dual way where it has the same meaning while also meaning the wolf in sheep’s clothing metaphor. It just is what it is. It doesn’t define everyone. A good friend with Venus opposite Saturn in mutual reception (2nd & 8th) had a hard time understanding why I’d do work on those pieces for free. 🤪 Made a few for her, they’re unpredictable in terms of quality. I may visit the Neptune episode again, this may be a possible semi controversial area because my interpretations of the outer planets (mainly uranus and Neptune) are slightly different. Richard Tarnas mentioned it in the Pluto episode. Inadvertent reading psychological studies that align with those 2 planets up to links to Venus and Mercury. Venus and mars deal with relationship strongly, especially the broad spectrum of love. Love - Hate axis. Uranus (Prometheus) and Neptune (Dionysus) retain their meaning, but there’s a bit of a hidden (more malefic) dynamic that has a positive outcome. They could both (even 3) relate to lessons on love for humanity through growth by humility. As Becca stated, the Venus Neptune can be crushing; that’s exactly the dynamic. The destructive nature of loving a fantasy, yet, not having love for anything real. It gets into the psychological complexes which could be “controversial” in current times because they symbolize a martyr complex. Victim fantasy.

Just for clarification, the morning star of Venus is the warrior. When we interpret this in a native's chart, we might consider, as one expression of the archetype, that this placement denotes a tendency for the native's values to be readily seen---they herald the Sun, leading and setting before the Sun. This would be true for any planets that reach the Western horizon prior to the Sun. The evening star, setting after the Sun, is more receptive/reflective, so the native's values may be something we learn on closer, longer contact. Also, Aphrodite was seen to be born on the Greek island of Kythera (where she emerged from the foam of the sea and the island came to be), associated with "bringing into form", perhaps leading to our association of Venus with the beauty of form and design and with Saturn being exalted in Libra. This is an interesting take on the archetypes. I have a stellium of Venus, Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Chiron and North Node in Aries in the 8th house! I am wondering if you would agree that Venus in my chart would be considered the morning star warrior archetype you described? Some have told me my Sun would over take Venus energy..especially because of being in sign of Aries and Scorpio house...both suppose to be antithesis.

@@discerninglight1998 If the Sun is at 13 degrees and Venus at 22, then the Sun rose first. Look at the horizon in your chart and imagine each planet sitting on it in turn and moving clockwise (rising). This is "primary motion". The Sun will make its way around the chart to the Western horizon where it sets before Venus gets there. This means your Venus is an evening star. In your chart teasing out all the planets within the stellium of Aries can be complicated. Notice whether Saturn and Mercury are evening stars as well.
your moniker "Discerning Light" suggests that you're using much of that energy to illuminate the often dark matters of the 8th house, something Virgo rising might want to do, especially with Virgo/1st house's dispositor in the 8th (Mercury in Aries). Just keep in mind that whatever sign and house Mars is in disposits the stellium in Aries in the 8th.

I recently watched the episode with Arielle Guttman, where she talked about the concept of Venus Star Point, which was very interesting, but at the same time a bit confusing for me. My Venus is in Scorpio and combust the Sun (and it's house placement doesn't help, as well).
My Venus is also combust, I don't know if I have Venus as Morning Star or not, as it has not yet crossed the Asc. but it is in 1st house rising before the Sun.

Personal fact that no one asked for, my name "Danika"(not my spelling but closest comparison) means morning star/venus.
Actually, the evening star is a lover and a morning star is a warrior according to the Babylonians. Inanna is a lover, which is analogues to Aphrodite, and Ishtar is a warrior, analogues to Afina Pallada. The former is a romantic archetype, the latter is a glorious and glamorous archetype symbolizing the foresight, wisdom, knowledge, strategy and courage, which are all needed to win the battles of life.
I Love the way this lady speaks. Trying to bring harmony to different views with a calm, warm voice. Very Venusian.

Wow - thanks for this. With Venus front and center in my chart - Ascendant, Sun and Venus all in Libra - I feel like I've won the celestial lottery. Not that everything has been delightful and easy (Saturn occupies my 5th house, keeping it real and doling out important and heavy life lessons from time to time) but it has been a very cheery and social life so far. The other gift of Venus, In addition to handing me an overall friendly vibe, is that kind and generous people often pop up in my life, especially in difficult moments. As a Venus Trine Saturn (in a night chart) the comments were very comforting about the aspect. It's the only aspect my Venus makes. (Saturn is tangled up in a lot of hot mess - mainly squares). It does bring a lot of pain :/ Saturn is not fun, especially when it comes to love. I am attracted to and have always dated older people than me. :) Ps. Also have a Libra rising. I sing and people love my singing and speaking voice in general. They say it is very sweet ;)
Yes, I too have this Venus in Aries(detriment) sextile Saturn in Aquirius also in a night chart. Learning to love myself , embracing my need to be alone. Its a process but as time goes on it gets alot better :)
49:28 Venus rules Taurus. Taurus also rules plants and ingesting plants which would include the usage of smoking herbs. This could be both for pleasure or medicinal.

I have also been trying to comprehend...
We all have these "bits" of the other planet's energy within us, which resonates under certain planetary configurations (and angles with other planets). That same planet's field can react with it's bits which are within us. Imagine we have some proportion or spectrum of bits from all the planets. So we are internally multi-reactive, so to speak.
Certain organs' or organ's cells seem to absorb (to be corelated with, or have symbolisms with) these planets' energy.

Venus in Aries opposite Saturn - it hasn't been easy in relationships (to put it lightly) but I have finally figured it out in my late thirties :). Also, I remember Christopher Warnock mentioning in a different episode that "Venus in Aries spends like a drunken sailor" and I've had some issues with that in the past as well 🤣. I think Saturn is actually now working in my favour, I feel that I've figured out most of my Venus related issues at this point. So if you are reading this and are still struggling with a similar aspect - hang in there, do not despair, you will figure it out ❤️.

What an excellent episode! Thank you, I learned so much ❤. I’d like to guess on the association of lungs - it is said in certain cultures that fear is the opposite of love. If one were to investigate the heat-map of where emotions are felt in a human body, fear is felt in the lung area predominantly. It is no surprise that people who are overwhelmed by repressed fears often suffer from asthma. I’m telling this from person experience. As fear is released slowly, love fills the lungs as a perfume of sweetness and freedom. Since Venus represents love, it is my understanding, that it represents that metaphorical perfume that lets the lungs breathe the full colours of life.

Venus in Virgo with Libra rising here. I love the eloquence of speech and vocal clarity...something many people these days neither strive towards nor possess. No foul language is also music to my ears. Respect, intelligence, relevance, knowledge and explanations to help the audience understand some of the language used. Loved it.
My sun is in scorpio and my Venus is in scorpio. I will do everything for the love of anything and everything that I am passionate about.
Oh, and my husband (10 years older than me) has his Mercury exactly conjunct (to the minute) my Venus in 11th House Pisces. We were friends first (11th House)...but we were strongly attracted to each other since we first met (I was especially attracted to his voice and his hands)...but we kept it friendly for several years before we acted on our attraction. And though we've been married now for 13 years, we still consider each other to be 'best friends' as well as 'best lovers'.

My father and I are studying The Red Book together and we enjoy talking about archetypes in history, literature, astrology and modern life. In reference to Venus ruling the Lungs- in Chinese Medicine and Five Element theory, (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth,Metal), Lungs belong to the element of Metal, which is also associated with the color white…many associations between Metal element and Venusian refinement, and love of cleanliness too. Interesting to make those connections…

I have Venus on my Ascendant at 29 degrees in my 6th house in Pisces. She doesn't have any strong aspects, but she does square my MH, trine Pluto in the 2nd, and a few other minor aspects.

I loved this so much!! I have Venus in Taurus in the 12th house with Jupiter there. Moving into a trine with Saturn and Uranus in the 8th in Capricorn. I’ve always found it a bit difficult to pinpoint my experiences of having both benefics in the 12th house. But the best way to describe it is really wanting/needing some isolation 😂 My best ideas/inspiration come when I’m alone with my thoughts. The Venusian qualities are definitely fused with Jupiter. Fine dining, expensive attire, wanting to be surrounded by high end comfort etc. I’m more about quality rather than quantity. And usually I enjoy indulging in those things more when I’m alone haha sometimes being overindulgent. I’m an artist and I find that I’m really good at bringing others’ artistic visions to life. (8th house stuff perhaps)

Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart is such a great archetypal expression of Venus/Pluto....I noticed Britney Spears also has a tight Venus/Pluto square. I have noticed that in progressed new moon chart The ascendant, 1st house, chart ruler and its aspects and planets within affect the persons appearance significantly from the date of the new moon. Brad Pitt's natal chart doesn't explain his beauty(though the natal promise is there) He had his progressed new moon right around thelma and louise the beginning of his career taking off. His progressed new moon chart is a cap rising, libra midheaven with saturn in the second house exactly conjunct venus in the second house.) from Brad not only did brad pitt drop weight to lean up for Thelma and louise but that's when his looks began to mature and he lost his baby face and his beauty began to emerge. If you look at pics of his from his 20s compared to 30s its from his late 20s on and his progressed new moon that his looks take off and he has this blinding beauty that is all you can see in the way becca describes.
Sometimes Becca uses so many adjectives while explaining one idea I find myself a little lost. And oddly her voice and way of speaking has put me in a very calm and sleepy state. Not at all due to her being boring, on the contrary she makes beautiful points - but because she has some type of calm energy.

So interesting! I have a grand trine with Venus, Neptune, and Saturn like Tolkien (mine is in fire, not air) and I agree with the description. Same houses as Tolkien too (mine is Venus (16 degrees) in Aries in the 10th, Neptune (16 degrees) in Sag in the 6th, Saturn (9 degrees) in Leo in the 2nd). Definitely an affinity for romantic/idealistic love, butterflies are my thing, also the elementals.
I have Sun (15 degrees) Venus Retrograde (16 degrees) conjunct in Aries. Also Sun/Venus opposition Pluto (12 degrees).

Also, born with Venus retrograde in Aries, my progressed Venus doesn’t leave Aries until I’m 61. Spending 61 years of my life with Venus in Aries.

I’m watching at one hour and two minutes the phase in which Venus takes in relative to the sun moon and us on earth. She is taking nine months before she then goes invisible for 50 days. Which nine months is the amount of time it takes to conceive and deliver a child. Also, the moon has a lot to do with a woman’s menstruation cycles, and here the pattern in the diagram looks EXACTLY like the womb. And here when the insects make it to Venus’s sister, she is giving birth. So a child is born and through that process, came the opportunity for Venus to be reborn. Love is the way ♥️

“Frea” is Old English for Frigg. They’re the same goddess. But it was correct to note that she plays multiple roles: Queen of the Aesir (through the King of the Aesir, Odin / Wotan), but also shield maiden of the Vanir & ultimately a foe to Odin come Ragnarok. Friday = Frigg’s day, or more likely “Freaday,” or something similar.
I was looking forward to this podcast...and so glad you had Becca on this one! I am also a Taurus rising, guided by Venus. My Venus is exalted in 11th House Pisces, trine JupiterRx in 7th House Scorpio, square 8th House UranusRx in Sagittarius, and quintile my Ascendant. Venus rules my 1st House Chiron and my busy 6th House with MarsRx-PallasRx and SaturnRx-PlutoRx. It is very true about the Venus aspects coloring the way I express my Venus...Venus-Jupiter associations like generosity, positivity, and joyfulness are some of the words that are often used to describe me by others. And, I am attracted to unusual things/relationships and love the odd quirks of people...a Venus-Uranus trait (I'd say it also relates to valuing Astrology for me). When I became an Astrologer in 2004, I was initiated by the first Venus Transit that June...so Venus has always been integral to my Astrology practice (for many years, I simply called myself a Venusian Astrologer).

I’m not a big Tolkien fan just due to not being much into fantasy, but hold respect and admiration; it’s likely due to the new Amazon series but I noticed I was listening to Tolkien lore going to sleep for a few weeks not thinking much of it until listening to the red book episode. Humorously, keeping the malefic trend, I was primarily listening to Sauron’s lore because (for some ungodly reason) it relaxes me. I only know the trilogy of films and didn’t see the hobbit, but the films had the same impact where the ring wraiths both made me interested in the story while also putting me to sleep. I started wondering “what the hell is this about?” for a few days until I listened to this episode and noticed it in the chart.
One thing I’ll do with sort of isolated chart reads is I’ll focus in on a planet energy and search songs with said energy where, with this, I found a song from an ex member of nine inch nails with Jennifer Charles from Elysian Fields called Crude Sunlight; it’s one of my favorite songs while being part of a project I rarely listen to so it’s forgotten a lot. It’s finding beauty in sadness, death, rebirth, and transformation where those darker feelings are like a warm blanket on a cold day. Interestingly I’ve been into the University of Virginia Perceptual Studies for weeks and that song fits into that file which looks to be part of my Venus chart dynamic. It’s the sort of Saturn like archetype of Sauron where his existence is testing the will of mankind where all life is at a brink of extinction and life has to transform itself to overcome its shadow flaws. I’d be curious to actually look more into Becca’s archetypal studies on his books now. And, yes, just in LotR’s even with love is this intense connection between love and death which is very Pluto which may be what both surprised me and why I find them comforting. Even with Gollum, just in the movie, the way the ring corrupts him is very plutonic.
I think what I liked most about this episode is use of music because I’ll use music as learning tools for either myself or others where I’ll sometimes analyze music others are listening to which insightful plus a sure way to make a person really uncomfortable to be around you. The Venus, mars, and Pluto conjunction in libra is typically the first thing others notice. House rulerships make it more bizarre when all the 12th house shows up. Leo in 12th with sun in the 12th is definitely something that’s something like something.

I really enjoy a majority of information provided by Chris and Becca. Not sure why there is an aversion to the idea of gender when it comes to the signs and planets. I did appreciate Becca's description as to how she views the idea of gender in astrology. How will removing gender or changing the definition of gender in astrology evolve it?

I have an 8th House Venus in Capricorn at 4°55" nearly conjunct the Sun placed 10°3", Jupiter retrograde has a 2nd House opposition at 29°53" of Gemini. Venus trines a 4th House retrograded Saturn placement in Virgo at 0°10", Square a 5th House NN retrograde at 10°21" of Libra, and she stands InConjunct my Ascendant at 3°49" retrograde in Gemini. (Its worth mentioning I have 7th house Neptune and Mercury placements at 16°44" , 21°8"r in Sagittarius respectively aswell I've a 5th house Virgo Moon 20°13" and Libra Pluto at 16°35")

My mom has told me the same story of how she turned to look at the clock right as I was born. have asked her several times if my birth time is accurate bc it is at 11:11 and I always wanted to make sure it is correct☺️ I also loved the point Becca and Chris brought up about the fifth house not only representing children but also mothers and the process of coming into that Venusian motherly energy. I think this is an important facet of the fifth house that can potentially be applied to anyone, but perhaps could be a clue in a delineation concerning individuals who cannot have or do not want children.

Playing with lots and individual testing of ZR, I’ll kinda throw in a comment. I may be lucky with lots where they’re clustered and their rulers are also. Looking at lots: Venus and mars in conjunction (with Pluto) may be a strong focal placement and Jupiter, another. The libra venus, mars, Pluto trine moon that has chiron and uranus square… the most interesting ZR example is actually that one of my favorite albums during the taurus period was The Process by Skinny Puppy, I’ll have P symbol synchronicities that are more about reassurance in stressful times. But my favorite song that’s often related to said synchronicities is Amnesia. The lyrics are hard to understand, but it’s about amamnisis in Plato’s Phaedo. It wasn’t until getting older that I even knew the reference. 😆 Taurus 9th with chiron opposite uranus square moon trine Venus, mars. Pluto. Lots: nemesis, spirit, and necessity are in aries, exaltation is in taurus. Necessity is actually conjunct spirit. Fortune and Eros in pisces where I just noticed Eros is conjunct SN today. It wasn’t until my Saturn return (which was also my gemini period) that I revisited music I liked in my taurus period sort of “wtf?” due to so many philosophical references on subjects I wanted to learn about. I just didn’t know they were there.
I’m interested in the more static nature of lots, but my own are clustered and I’m noticing by casting lots for other charts that clusters are not that normal.

I did find real love (and religion) in my life. At least, I wrote plenty of love songs and still a purveyor/DJ of songs. You hope that you learn from it. Breathing stimulates the Vagus nerve which increases the parasympathetic side of things - the feel good side. Venus in Taurus H9 conjunct MC and algol (yikes). This could be the 3rd or 4th time I’ve listened to this episode. This time it’s still in my mars episode by taking ruler of spirit in consideration. As of now, it’s seemingly like an entire configuration while also simply just being the planet. Very difficult to explain. In playful language, ruler of spirit as mars is definitely mars (which feels trapped in a sign) where it’s in a submissive position with Venus in libra. Going about this in a “core” way, entire configuration while it’s core is the crude center. The only accurate way i can think of to study this is through birth charts of philosophers and types of idealists who’s thoughts are on record; good luck find pinpoint accuracy in chart data. 😆 This is a tough angle to choose, having lot of spirit opposite ruler is actually helpful because this was an active opposition right out of the gate. I can reflect to notice details and themes. Neptune is actually extremely easy to find.
A song: La Mar Enfortuna - Salome. This is an extremely difficult song to find, I’ve only found it on iTunes. They’re songs performed in a somewhat modern way of lost Sephardic songs, true to religious themes, some are quite brutal. That version of Salome focuses on.. I’ll use astrological/mythological language.. the religious story is easy to find, the king who lusts after his step daughter, she lusts after a prisoner of the king. The king wanting a demonstration of a seductive dance, she makes a deal that if she’s delivered the head of the prisoner (John the Baptist), she’s perform sexual acts with it where the king can watch (her dance). It’s religious, so it’s family friendly. Mars conquest and Venus pleasure in a disturbing way. Beautiful/relaxing song until you get to the lyrics. Interesting, the point is made that she wants his head on a silver shield to symbolize the moon (who can’t turn away) so the virgin moon has to watch also. Seems completely rational to me.
With stated placements, I had a hilarious situation with a libra interpretation I didn’t quite agree with where it slapped me hard in the face in terms of libra and commerce. I considered taking an art series to later convert to NFT where I decided not to because it wasn’t in the verbally agreed upon terms of creating them. It was agreed as “non profit”, it isn’t worth the trouble of getting back in contact with people to work that out; I could always return to that project with that specific intent at a later time within partnerships. I did notice the strong Neptune influence where it’s surrealist photography. The entire Venus configuration is noticeable. Even my libra snootiness related to finance showed up. “80% of the finance industry is swine feeding in the trough…” I refer to crypto as an emperors new clothes in a dual way where it has the same meaning while also meaning the wolf in sheep’s clothing metaphor. It just is what it is. It doesn’t define everyone. A good friend with Venus opposite Saturn in mutual reception (2nd & 8th) had a hard time understanding why I’d do work on those pieces for free. 🤪 Made a few for her, they’re unpredictable in terms of quality.
I may visit the Neptune episode again, this may be a possible semi controversial area because my interpretations of the outer planets (mainly uranus and Neptune) are slightly different. Richard Tarnas mentioned it in the Pluto episode. Inadvertent reading psychological studies that align with those 2 planets up to links to Venus and Mercury. Venus and mars deal with relationship strongly, especially the broad spectrum of love. Love - Hate axis. Uranus (Prometheus) and Neptune (Dionysus) retain their meaning, but there’s a bit of a hidden (more malefic) dynamic that has a positive outcome. They could both (even 3) relate to lessons on love for humanity through growth by humility. As Becca stated, the Venus Neptune can be crushing; that’s exactly the dynamic. The destructive nature of loving a fantasy, yet, not having love for anything real. It gets into the psychological complexes which could be “controversial” in current times because they symbolize a martyr complex. Victim fantasy.
