Interventions to reduce the spread and influence of misinformation: Challenges & Solutions
Abstract: In this talk we will first look at the different approaches to tackle the influence of misinformation and the challenges both scientists and practitioners face when bringing these into the field, including limitations to their practical impact and questions about their long-term effectiveness. Then, as a case study, we will present the work that has been done to solve some of these challenges within the framework of inoculation interventions, and in particular, the latest work to increase the long-term effectiveness of such interventions.
