@@SaltSpirits if you only use a 24 inch monitor there is nothing to do. If you use an ultrawide your speaker placement is off then compared with the distance of the triangle and sound bounces off the back of the monitor.
Can see that, im rocking a massive 42 inch lgc2. Monitors on the side of that. And then my 2nd monitor goes on the left of my left studio monitor. Otherwise u cant get the stereo image right
@@SaltSpiritsfor music production, verticality makes actually more sense and makes it more confortable. Its the exception, for any other task, horizontal is better
This is by far the best screen configuration but you need to use ultra wide 21/9 screens, lower the bottom one and tilt it back 15 degrees, lower the top one and tilt it forward 15 degrees too. Nothing beats this configuration, WAY more desktop real estate and a contained price, love it so much. And no neck breaking !
It works great for my set up. My desk is only 48 inches wide and I already had a 32 inch curved monitor on it with two studio speakers on either side. So my only option for an extra monitor would be a new desk or to go vertical, and that is what I did. Stacked a 27 inch monitor on top. What really pulls them together though is to find a wallpaper that can span both the top and bottom screen nicely.
Honestly I kinda miss my vertical mounted monitors. Love my horizontal desk mount, but damn it was convenient. It makes the setup look more compact and neat.
I’m going for the hunter’s argument- you won’t have much neck strain having to turn your head side to side but if you have to tilt your head up to see something… you’ll start to feel the strain a bit. We’re hunters at heart- evolved to track and survey landscapes- it’s only recent in our evolution that we’ve started to need to incline our heads upwards so much. So yeah- horizontal is better
Stacked > side by side. Thats how my setup is and i love it so much just having to pear my head up alightly to watch a movie or something instead of moving my whole head to the side.
I'm tall, so this setup is just perfect for me: primary monitor on the top at about eye level and secondary one at the bottom. Definitely less strain on my neck and helped me keep a better posture.
It didn't take long for Reach to fall: our enemy was ruthless. Efficient. But they weren't nearly fast enough. For you had already passed the torch. And because of you, we found Halo, unlocked its secrets, shattered our enemy's resolve. Our victory - your victory - was so close, I wish you could have lived to see it. But you belong to Reach. Your body, your armor - all burned and turned to glass. Everything… except your courage. That, you gave to us. And with it, we can rebuild.
Only time I ever feel like having a monitor below another monitor is if it’s a smaller portable monitor other than that normal Monitors should be side by side or if you’re able to get a ultra wide 21:9 monitor!
So I have this and it works so much better with a 21:9 34" or bigger monitors. I have my Polk TSI200 in line with the top monitor and a 27" 16:9 monitor to the right of the bottom 21:9 monitor. With a 21:9 monitor having to windows open and side snapped looks SO MUCH better that on a 16:9 and if you have a 31:9 it's like having to full 16:9 monitors on one screen.
I've tried a lot of different monitor setups and stacked is my least favorite. I currently use a 42 inch tv as my main monitor and 2 side monitors, one vertical, once horizontal.
Some reason when I had my monitors vertical like that, i'd get a tiny bit dizzy looking up after looking downish/straight forward. Switched over to a 60 inch LG C2 and just have all my programs split in 4 quadrants.
Bro can you put the lower monitor flat to table surface 45° or 70° and top monitor as flat to wall .... I want to see this set up and also how it looks when we add 2 more monitors in the same configuration and all screens be flat and not curved the size can be 27 inch but i would like 32inch 4 screen set up ... I would love to see a photo in community post if you can do this set up
na it works depending on your work flow., I have 3,. left vertical is 4k , stack right top is 4k, bottom of stack is 2k gaming monitor. But use them across 2 computers. 👌😂 top stack 4k is primary on a workstation and co-uses bottom gaming monitor as a preview screen., but the 2k gaming monitor is primary with 4k vertical to the left as secondary on my main gaming machine.
I think stacked monitors looks dumb so I would never do it, however if you like it then enjoy it, take pride in it, can't please everyone so just please your self.
no. it doesn't. I had to stop scrolling when I saw this masterpiece. I love it. it looks so serious and dark and productive. fits the wallpapers. also the monitors are already long, no need to put them side by side. it would make you not wanting to switch monitors because you'd have to turn your entire head instead of just looking up. also it's unique, everyone has side by side. but I rarely see top down.
Stacked is soo good for music production if you have speakers on the side
not any better than horizontal tbh

Same with game development or for people like me with a short desk

Stacked is so nice cause it saves so much space for other things especially because I had a dual pc setup
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who stared at the reach wallpaper back in the day
Remember Reach.
Honestly I kinda miss my vertical mounted monitors. Love my horizontal desk mount, but damn it was convenient. It makes the setup look more compact and neat.
Honestly, I would love to have stacked monitors. It feels like it would be easier for reading chat or messages while still being able to see the game
The verticality is fighting the horizontal nature of human eyes.

The halo reach desktop background, much respect
It works if you position the monitors opposite of what it's aligned with now. Bottom angled, top aligned with the desk.
We read left to right and not vertically. That’s why horizontal layouts work. Not because the tables are long. 🙃
Bro who’s reading across two monitors??

this is my setup for 2 years now. its fine, saves space
I think this layout looks good If the bottom monitor is bigger then the top but if you like it you keep it love the setup bro
Thanks homie! I do agree with that - the pyramid visual looks rad
That Reach background looks clean asf, nostalgic fs, remember Reach
It didn't take long for Reach to fall
The halo reach back ground is very cool
I prefer horizontal visually but vertical meets my needs. At this point I’m used to it and I quite like it.
That dog is taking notes. He’ll be a pro gamer soon too!
Taking "desktop PC" gaming to the next level. She's ready haha
Only time I ever feel like having a monitor below another monitor is if it’s a smaller portable monitor other than that normal
Monitors should be side by side or if you’re able to get a ultra wide 21:9 monitor!
Stacked ultrawides are the meta
That's why I got the best of both worlds.
Triple 27 inch monitor in landscape and a 4th one above the middle monitor.
All depends on the usage, i have a stack due to working from laptop and second monitor is above, helps with Hunch strain! 😎🙌🏽
how did you mount the top monitor?
My dream set up has two more horizontal monitors on each side going for a bat computer vibe
Put two vertical on the side of those that’s what mine is looks sick
I have an ultrawide as my main monitor and a 16:9 as a stacked monitor. Probably the best setup you could ever have
Side by side is nice but no matter what there’s always that damn space in the middle and with ocd I just cant
I mean stacking them like that…u can watch youtube and play video games. But side by side…when you quickly move your eye and head it hurts more.
Great for small desks though. I've got 2 ultra wides and it's the only way to fit
Nice lighting
one large curved monitor is the way to go! I have a 32" curved Gigabyte
it's more beautiful vertical, but it's also more painfull for my neck
Blud really stood up on his desk
Bro I'm not trying to feel like I got first row seats in the cinema
I tried imagining having a second monitor on top of my main and looked up, immediately my neck cracked lol
Side by side portrait. Try it.
The wallpaper from halo reach 👌
Theres another way if ur taking too many notes typing them a horizontal and a dedicated vertical one for just notes would be insane naaa🤯
the monitor setup is the same as my brothers lol stacked on top he used to have 3 at one point one in middle then 3 in line up top
The trick is to do two rows of triple monitors
So I have this and it works so much better with a 21:9 34" or bigger monitors. I have my Polk TSI200 in line with the top monitor and a 27" 16:9 monitor to the right of the bottom 21:9 monitor.

Just get two ultra wides, the ones that isn’t curved preferably or one ultra ride at the bottom and regular one top
Stacked is goat, tried everything
i liked stacked coz side by side hurts my neck. at least with stacked, i can sit back and rest my head on the headrest to look at the top monitor.
The first thing I'm going to buy when I get more money is 4k monitor.
I've tried a lot of different monitor setups and stacked is my least favorite. I currently use a 42 inch tv as my main monitor and 2 side monitors, one vertical, once horizontal.

I have that. It’s alright for small tables but your neck starts to hurt from looking up after a while.
it looks better but i aint gonna be looking up to the top monitor constantly
That's why you get stacked ultra or super ultra wide ...
Love the posters
curved vertical 🎉, and side by side while still vertical
My neck hurts just looking at that
Do you ever wonder why we built buildings up instead of digging down and reinforcing walls ?
Add a 3rd portrait monitor
Your neck gonna be hurting after 30s of having to look at that top monitor, it looks cool but there's a reason everyone uses horizontal layout
get yourself a third sideways monitor next to it
Most definitely agree
it will make my neck hurt, I have to look up
1 more vertically on each side would share it off and not make it weird in ny opinion
The neck pains
Bro looks like Great Value Elon Musk

Simple solution, a third monitor in portrait
Stacked is better for ergonomics, posture. Also much better for video editing
I think an ultra wide plus a regular moniter would balance it out better
look up vs look to the side, whatever your neck prefers
Using a small 10" monitor for discord or chat can give you a lot of flexibility
Its good for a 3rd vertical monitor
na it works depending on your work flow., I have 3,. left vertical is 4k , stack right top is 4k, bottom of stack is 2k gaming monitor. Love that wallpaper. You probably always get asked but where can I find it?
Thanks homie! it is a common question I get for sure haha - it’s on wallpaper engine “Halo Reach + rain” 👍
Side by side is sick but your looking at a fat black line in the middle of your screen so! Or! You can get 1 long like screen
3 identical monitors side-by-side in portrait mode. 27:16
I want the desk and lights
Stacked would hurt my neck 😢
Nice wallpaper
Remember Reach.
Stacked looks better on short desks
I had this problem, so I bought a third monitor.
I could imagine this with a standing desk setup. But like this? Eeeeeeh yeah, its not the best
That was my pc’s first wallpaper too 😂
Flip the top background upside down
God I hate the stacked monitor esthetic. Not as much as the one horizontal monitor next to one vertical monitor though 😵
Well I got dual stack setup at work as it works great for my line of work lol
I’d rather look side to side than up and down
How tf do you even look at it--?
Looking up like that seems so uncomfortable
god damn that’s beautiful
Idk I have never understood why I’d want to stack my monitors, isn’t it easier to looks right or left then straight up?
Ive got stacked since i have a ucs at-at next to my monitor
I think stacked monitors looks dumb so I would never do it, however if you like it then enjoy it, take pride in it, can't please everyone so just please your self.
Please consider: two stacks
I think don't need UA-cam for a few moment ⚰️
Just add another 2 to balance it.
Bro looks like eleon mosk's twin brother
No I don't lmao
no. it doesn't. I had to stop scrolling when I saw this masterpiece. Try 2 verticals top-down
Man I don't know but for some reason on this video you look like a younger version of Elon musk 😮😮😮
Still cool
Which monitor arm did you use?
