When he was a bboy his day off is about couple of days in a year. But after what happen in mid 2000 gambler crew members filed a law suit him after that shit he's no longer bboy. And I've seen him by accident in Ktown LA 2016. I was hanging out with him for few days. I took him and his friend to my white friend and they were smoking weed except me. That was the last time I've seen him before. After he came to Korea he tried to contact me on FB message I didn't answer because I feel something disappointed in him. He and I were closed each other before he got famed. After he became a bboy star he doesn't answer my call. I know he was so busy that Era but one thing I know for sure is I wasn't there in his heart.

Junior repeats the same moves too much so it gets very old which is why Darkness won. Although the crowd was too blinded to notice but Darkness was actually winning.

Junior is really strong but I've begs seen anybody drag themselves off the floor into a flag spin. Fuck. No matter how many times I see it, Darkness never ceases to amaze me.

Great vid. again its jumping acro vs groundwork. personally as a person who can do alot of the high jumping flips im more impressed by juniors magical groundwork. No dis on Darkness ofc, he is awesome too.
junior gots the advantage, hes been breaking for longer than darkness, plus he does more old school dancing, intergrated with the freezes needed to leave anyone behind

They both were kickin up a storm of skillz. Towards the end, when Junior rushed Darkness, I thot they were tied up ... until Junior fell off the platform. At that point it was all over. Didn't see how he landed, but it had to hurt (physically and emotionally).

Junior has many moves that are the same that he does in almost every battle, at 5:41 i was amazed how Darkness strikes back with the same move. To tell the truth, before watching this i thought Junior was going to win, i guess i was wrong. Dope.
Let me start out by saying these guys are both impressive. They both have incredible moves, and as a child of the 80s i say, man, breaking sure has come a long way! However, breaking used to include musicality and moves in rythm with the music. Junior's not dancing as much as he is just performing acrobatics. Darkness is much of the same, BUT, he is breakDANCING much more. If breaking was just about acrobatic tricks, Junior wins. But it's so much more than that. Either way, both impressive.
Darkness had so much more style and flare, much better dancer. Junior just comes in with the same powermoves and gets the crowd's respect. Darkness was always original and better
+ whatever you say about junior, he actually had more + better toprock than darkness in this battle, he isn't just about showoff tricks, he sorta feels the music more. Hats off to the tricks for both of them tho
Anyone else notice that Junior did virtually the same stuff in that popular youtube "breakdance" video. Its wasnt all put together but all the moves were the same leading up to it.
Yeah it's true to me it looks like he does the same stuff but I think the reason he doesn't do the usual power move is because his legs are uneven. His right leg is a lot shorter than his left. I'm pretty sure at his level junior has tried powermoving a lot. He's jacked as hell so im sure it wouldn't be a problem if it wasnt for his leg.

As I watch more of the video...Darkness puts up some really nice moves. Junior is more of a gymnist who uses his hands mostly. He doesn't really leave the ground in which can exploit to some fancy moves. He is impressive but not fancy. He doesn't look like he's dancing but more of a show n tell with what he can do with his upper body strength.
@otakusama17 i know what you mean, but i just feel like you dont have to do THAT many moves to get the crowd pumped. to counter juniors first set (cause the crowd hasnt seen his moves before) he could've used probably just half of those moves and done some more toprock or style with blowups towards the end to achieve the greater or same effect. towards the end, everyone was quiet T.T
Although I still believe that Junior is a better breaker than darkness, I felt that Darkness didn't really get the recognition for what he was doing. He had some pretty insane moves there but he wasn't the crowd favorite and u could tell he was getting really desperate at the end. Great battle tho.
yeah, on another video of him he did the same thing. He goes up to the edge of the stage and then jumps off while doin a handstand and still holds it when he hits the ground

They thing we miss is when Junior hand walks across the stage. He jumps off and lands ON HIS HANDS! Sick. And darkness' first round was dope too.

This battle was built on some toprock, a little bit of footwork, and then it was all planches, freezes, handhops, and flips.
Windmills are not needed to breakdance. Everyone has his own style with bboying. Clearly junior is the one with the most power in his arms.
