Great video again Daz!! Think I would have a try at it. Not sure if my old knees would like it though 🤣😂 I'm not much of a stand up and pedal kinda person. Rather just grit my teeth and sit down and get on with it 😁
just where you turned off at 0:58 to the right is a train station, the Doghouse Lane climb there is arguably harder than Mytholm...surface isnt as good either which makes it even more challenging...and if its wet, forget it, youre back wheel will spin out like mine has before. Its such a hotspot for hard climbing round there, Shore Road and Thursden Valley/Ridehalgh are two favs.
I totally agree with you on the hill climbing around here and have done that many of them. Check out this video I did when the guys cycled up Shore road. ua-cam.com/video/Tt7TcOxWlss/v-deo.html
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures yeah its just awesome, I ride all over the shop, Lakes, Dales, Peaks but I think the climbs around there have a real unique character....can be pretty savage aswell! Great videos!!
Thanks for watching Alan, this is a very steep hill to take on, there are so many around this part of the Pennines that in a day's riding you easily hit 10,000ft of climbing in a relatively short distance.
Great video, looks a top ride. That was a good tip about the wheel bearings and brake rub because I've had that issue on the last two bikes. Currently on Vision Team 35 wheels but looking to upgrade to Parcours Passistas, not sure if these will present a similar issue. Cheers
Thanks for the info Mark. I would always look for wheels that have angular contact bearings or cup n' cone because they can take the loads as the wheel is forced between the axis. Radial and axial .I use Hope Pro 4's on one bike and the bearings don't last more than 6 weeks before they start to develop play.
Yes me too, I understand it's all about the strongest team and all that but to win it and only come second last year because of a crash for Thomas is a big blow. I can't understand why Yates has signed for them either, obviously ££ money is a big part of it but Ineos will have another marked man in their squad to keep happy when you've got Bernal to contend with. It will be interesting at Christmas when Simon and Adam are back at mum and dad's in Bury not being able to share team tactics.
Do you know what Pete, I don't think I have ! But it looks like a corker. The chances are I have but can't remember . There's some wicked climbs in that area.
That is a super tough climb that pal. We cant do it when its wet dont get the grip. The video does not really show how steep a climb it is. Keep up the great work pal.
Hi I’ve just subscribed, I’m going to fort William Scotland next weekend , I’ve got the basic panning kit can you tell me how to get a permit so me and my daughter can have a go please 👍
Hi Paul, when I went to Tyndrum I just prospected like the rest of to the people do and found a nice quiet spot. I'm not sure about that far up but why not go for a picnic off the beaten track and have pan in a stream. The Lochy can be good !
MrDazP1 thanks for reply much appreciated, we are all excited to go and find some , even a tiny bit of colour will do, just to have gone there with the tools and knowledge that I’ve learned from your vids , it will be great, I’ll keep you posted if I find any , where is the best place to get a suction pump many thanks paul
Hello Scott, yes I use a Basic Hero and a session 4 but have also got a Hero 8 for image stabilization more recently. Thanks for watching and commenting pal.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures thanks for that. I am based in Calder Valley and as a keen cyclist (mainly zwift ATM) and videomaker really enjoying these. If you are ever making a video this neck of woods and need another set of hands and extra camera options (inc live stream) please let me know 👍
@@djrobbo3929 Brilliant stuff. There's a guy called Billy Holmes who won it in the 60's. I see him walking his dog on my hills and he can tell some brilliant stories about the Milk Race.

Another belting video of a classic climb Daz 👍🏻....Those 2 switchbacks do for me every time mate.
It's the long straight bit in your face that just seems to be almost mission impossible. It's all about character building Michael.

Either way it's it good one to try out Diana , make sure you have plenty of jelly babies for a treat at the top though.
Great film as always. Some steep ascent there. Thanks for the film Daz, hope you rewarded yourself with a pint in that pub afterwards.
Ha ha , I could have murdered a pint but the light fades quickly nowadays so I had to keep a moving.
Nice one, brilliant video.
Now this is steep !
Nice one 😎👏
Cheers

@@Nosh_Feratu The main thing in the UK is that all the climbs are achievable with some basic fitness in your legs.
That looked spectacular Daz, I do not expect to achieve this one, way to steep for me. Great commentary as always, keep safe mate, Alan.

I've got a 53-34 and 11-40 on my bike. I think I'll wait until I buy an eBike before attempting those hills ;-)
Now that sounds like a great plan to me. An e - bike would make light work of this one.
