- MONSTERMAX 2 IS FINALLY HOME. Today was initial testing to make sure it will all function properly and handle earths elements. We also had court for the splashing trial again so this covers the last trial. Thank you. #MM2

Mechanics trying to play engineers usually fail to see design flaws until they break something and build it stronger the next time. Having 2x power plants it would be SO much easier to use two full computer systems running on the exact same signal inputs. The LT/ST fuel trim will balance itself. You need old man Jim from Wyotech (Blairesville PA campus) that man’s a damn genius transmission builder. Also, Todd Gillott was a lead GM engineer before he started teaching but he still consults for them. If you’d reach out to Wyotech I could see them taking this on as a fun challenge. We’d have had this thing sorted in a week lol.

Honestly I don't see why they couldn't have doubled the trans harness from one engines tcm and sent it to the other trans, plug, it's not a lot of power to run the shift solenoids, and the slight difference in engine rpm will be taken up by the tq converter anyways.

For bottle jacks to lift the truck, you should look into aircraft jacks. They're telescopic and rated to lift huge amounts of weight and remain stable. They also have locking collars I corporated to keep them from falling if you lose pressure.

Also look at the mining industry we have bottle jacks for lifting 100 ton haul trucks and the axles look about the same sort of height.

I was a USAF helicopter crew chief back in the day. The H53 had 2 big turboshaft engines for flying. But it also had a very small turbine engine for running hydraulics and electrical while the main engines were off. You could install a small IC engine
, or even electric motor and battery system, and have it running all the time which would support your brakes.
it definetly needs a turbine apu... the only thing appropriate for this machine. or just put a p&w j58 in the bed for auxillary power ... oh yeah well my alternator, power steering and brakes are sr71 powered...

Yeah but each engine on those helicopters have thier own fadec and fmu. The only helicopter id comapre the logistics too with what he want would be the damn shinook other wise thats not really both of them operating the exact same they actually just operate within parameters of one another . aviation is successful because of redundancy if he wants to make it happen correctly I'd tune and run everything all most separately and I'd use two tcu/tcms and get them within a parameter that would be difficult for him to trash. But honestly he'll probably over due it and trash it anyway

9:08 your solution would be a brake accumulator. Engines would charge the accumulator, and brake would run off the accumulator. That way- if you don't have power (but your accumulator is charged with pressure), you have multiple brake applications. Very common in aviation. 13:02 large things that have fluid brakes: Lockheed C-5M Super Galaxy.
BMWs ran that system on their 7 series for a long time also, worked off the powersteering

well if hes going to air brakes they work as long as there is pressure. then lock on when there is none. unlike hydrolic that fail when they lose pressue/fluid.
My 78 Mark V also runs the brakes off the PS, and it has an accumulator. Very good brakes, but I think air IS the way to go for MM.

Hey, have you considered putting two international engines in that thing? Imagine if it had like 1700 lb torque in each engine. This is way out of my league but it looks like you have a ton of space under the frame of the truck, would be insane. Monstermax 2 in its current form is impressive enough as it is. I and I think everyone else is blown away by the engineering and hours put into the project. Awesome truck dude, it's surreal to see it finally running
