The guy mimicking the baby crying to get them to stop actually works. If you do it just like they were, they will literally stop with a look of pure surprise on their face as if you just went insane.
Also, a warning to guys new to children -- little kids, especially very young girls, lead with their knees when they leap up into your lap. If you know you'll be playing with small children -- be sure to wear a cup. You will thank me in the future.
I used to do it with my older one when he was a toddler. He tried to throw a tantrum and I got down on the floor and did it with him. Only had to do it a small handful of times and he never threw another.

i travelled with my dad once, i only had a single bread for breakfast. I told my dad i was really hungry to the point where i wanted to puke because of hunger. I told him to buy anything just to fill my stomach, there was a vendor who sells peanuts so i wanted him to buy me some. and of course he did not. Then a time came when he was the one who's hungry, he bought himself a soda and dumplings. 🙃 Now, I only travel with my mom, and when i had no choice but to travel with my dad i always make sure to bring either my money or ask my mother to give me some 😆😆
