This video is fantastic. Short, simple. No stupid narration or drawn out explanation. Absolutely perfect. Thank you, kind man.
Neutered Chimp Thank you for your kind feedback. Cheers!
Love this
A perfect demonstration video! Clear line of sight, zero blabber, solicitation or useless information. Straight, to the point, and worthy of Praise! Thank You!
My long time Trusted Mechanic just charged me $130.00 (Part/Labor) to remove and replace my sun visor.
This is the 4th time I have had to replace that visor. I have no idea why they keep breaking. 2 of them broke when the car was brand new and under warranty?
I really appreciate you posting this step by step video. Thanks!
Insane that content like this is free to watch. GOOD AND QUICK TO THE POINT. Love it. Thank you so much for this.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you for the information in 2 minutes. Simple. Straightforward. Honest. Again, thank you.
Thank you very much! Cheers!

Thank you sir. No stupid stuff or music.
Thanks for posting.. Outside cap did not pop off easily for me as in this video so I just ripped it off with a pair of pliers. New assembly came with all the new covers and clips anyway so no harm done, worked perfectly!
Thank you for the crystal clear directions on how to install the sun visor. The new clips didn't fit so we had to use the old clips and then it went in.
So good you did this properly. Another video shows the mechanic swinging the visor out and pulling down really hard to yank the entire Assembly out . I would assume this could break or warp the part still in the roof. This shows what the rather confusing directions that came with the replacement tried to. Thank you.
Thanks for your comments.
Yeah I followed those directions and it caused some bending of the roof portion so I had to re bend back into a good spot for thr visor to stay on. Wish I saw this video first
This video saved me $100 at the dealership. This is a very simple fix with a $28 visor from Amazon.
I just did this on my 2012 Scion Xb, which looks just like the video (probably because it shares a lot with the Camry, including the engine and drive train). I found a new Toyota part for $ 55 on eBay from a Toyota dealer selling off old inventory. I could not figure out how it worked to remove or to replace it. Thanks to your great video, it took about 20 seconds to remove the old one and pop in thenew on. Thank you very much.
PS the dealer, who would have charged me ~ $ 200 installed, suggested I find one on ebay.
Thanks so much for your sharing of installing the sun visor in my Toyota Camry 2010. Your instruction with the filming was super clear. My anxiety is gone (fear of breaking the sun visor).
🙏
Greetings from California 🇺🇸
Thanks for the warm feedback. Cheers!
@@peterlution It was really smooth in removing the old sun visor. I watched you video 3 times 😀 However my arthritis hands gave me problem in installing the new replacement sun visor. Luckily my young and strong neighbor helped me to snap it in place less than 2 minutes 👍
Thank you 🙏 💕 California 🇺🇸
Thank you SO much for this video! I was able to replace both my sun visors with your easy guidance! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Really good video! Thank you! Short to the point, no annoying fluff : )
Great video! One small suggestion: Before putting on the plastic cap (final step) stick a screwdriver in the hole between the spring clips and make sure the spring clips are spread as wide as possible. Otherwise, pushing in the plastic cap/cover may "unseat" the spring clips and push them in. These clips are really hard to dig out of the hole if that happens!
This was so awesome, after watching this video I was literally able to replace my sun-visor in under a minute. thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for the warm feedback. Cheers!
Thanks worked a treat with a couple used ones from the wreckers Cheers
Great video. Helped me do the job quickly and efficiently. Ended up having to use the old clips though because the new ones that came with the replacement visor wouldn't hold it place properly.
Same I ordered a new one also and it came with the wrong clips glad I saved the old ones.
@@sherriross5332 Always save the old parts, even if you know they're no good, worn out, etc. They still have dimensions for example.
Great video! We had to use the old clips too!
The old clips worked for us as well. Thanks for your comment!
Man, those are some satisfying clicks
Video was straight to the point. I was able to install in no time at all
Perfect my 2013 venza has the exact problem. Thanks for the fix ;-)
Great videos. They should all be this good!
Thanks for the video all other videos I watched weren’t Toyota Tacoma sun visor
Thanks for your positive feedback!
Perfect "HOW TO" video, after watching it a couple times I changed out the sunvisor in less than 2 minutes! Thak you very much
Thanks for your great feedback.🙏🙏
this is the video that actually helped me install my toyota 2012 passenger side visor! yay! thank you thank you thank you!
WOW, you’re a GENIUS!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH🙏🙏🙏. Changing mine now😍
perfect. short and exactly what's needed. thank you!
Thanks! Cheers!

Thanks! Used it today. The cover was VERY stubborn on the sun windshield. 2007 Camry. Clips rusted. Brand new on in now. Thanks.
Omg, thank you! Best video I’ve seen by far! You actually showed how those clips go in 😅 thank you!!!
Great video, it came off exactly as you demonstrated, thanks
Easy to follow , straight up instructions. Can't go wrong. Take your time. For me, separating the cover piece took the longest (if you will). Did not want the screwdriver gouging the headliner. The genuine Toyota replacement drivers side visor for my 09 RAV4 included all the parts and was a total drop in. $65 on eBay. Just enter your year and model + driver side sun visor in the search bar.
Thank you!! Yes, if you can buy one cheap, still save a bunch for installing by dealership. Cheers!
bm wat mine was 45$ for my 2010 Toyota Camry LE that is suppose to be coming since my drivers side broke. My mom was rough on the visor when she drove it and been broke since then
Thank you for making this video because my 2010 Toyota Camry LE 2.5L needs a new drivers side visor. It broke so I need to replace it. The clips and stuff work I just need the new visor because the side piece that goes to the roof of the car that holds the visor going straight across broke so I have a new one coming in and I’m going to replace it hopefully tomorrow and update everyone!! And my mom was rough on the visor with the drivers side when she drove it before me and had been broken since then and I only paid $45 for it
Very quick and simple thank you
This is great - thank you. I have to wonder why so many people need to replace these however... We have a 2009 and the sun visor just decided to quit one day...
Thanks for your feedback. You are lucky it held up for 13 years. Mine quit less than 4 years. Many people had similar problem while Toyota had not admitted it was a 🍋, until many years later.😰
This helped me out a lot. Thank you!
You are welcome. I am glad that i helps.
Thank you for this video. It helped me replace my broken visor
I am glad it helped. Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you brother for your video, it helped me fix my car's visor 💝
This was super helpful. Thanks!
I am glad that helped. Cheers!
Thanks for posting this. I just replaced mine with the help of this video. Much appreciated!
Glad to hear your success! Cheers!
Thank you. Very helpful and efficiently done.
Thank you for your feedback. Cheers!
Thank you so much!!!! Straight to the point. 🙏
Thank you for posting this video...it saved the day. The 3rd party visor that I ordered fit but had different spring-clips that did not work, so I used the old springs and spring expander on the new visor and it worked great. The difference in the springs are... the small two finger grippers on the side of each spring that faces out. If you use the old springs you must use the old spring expander too. I paid 49$ for the new visor (it's a 5 minute job) and the dealer wanted $140 to install a new one.
I am glad that you did it! Hooray!!
The prongs that came with the new visor fall out of the hole in the ceiling. I am trying to find a visor, new or used that has the same type of prongs as were used with the original visorr.
Very thorough!!! Excellent!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for such a positive feedback.
great video!
Thank you, this helped me a lot today!
You are welcome. I am glad that it helped.🙏🙏
Thank you. This is very helpful
Thanks for your positive feedback.
For anyone that is struggling, when you put in the metal prongs in without the cover, the visor will fall out of the hole. You have to hold the visor in place with the prongs in the hole, then put the cover on all the way while holding the visor to then secure it and make sure that it does not fall out.
Thank you, I felt like an idiot for about 15mins
Still loose. Prongs fall out. Are the covers poles supposed to secure the prongs in place somehow?
@@bakerboyboyboy it's been a while, but going off of memory, the cover is vital to keeping the visor in place, so yes
@@craterface12 Success. I really had to use all my might to press that cover into place.
Thanks so much! So easy and method worked great!
Thanks for your feedback!🙏🙏
Thanks man I'm going to have to do this. My nephew broke my visor and it kept falling in my face. So i finished what he started and ripped it off and now my car has a grounding issue.
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the warm feedback!🙏🙏
Thanks brother!
Life saver! Thank you for this video!
That was excellent. Thank you!
Thanks! 🙏🙏
Thank you god bless you guys with so much you help us
Thanks it turned out I bought the wrong visor even though my Camry doesn't have a sunroof :/ - (the correct one was under the description of sunroof). I waited too long to be able to return the incorrect one, but until I get the one with the wiring for the light, the one without kind of works. I still probably spent less than I would have if I went to a mechanic or dealership, so that's alright. Live and learn.
Live and learn. Yes, we all do! :-)
Some Toyotas like the Yaris have a clip that has arms sticking out. To install you have to put the clips into the base at an angle. The clips will be pointing towards each other, like the eiffel tower, halfway seated. This way the arms can hook into the ceiling when you install the base. If they are installed flat, then no amount of banging on the base will push the arms to hook in. There has to be clearance in the ceiling hole for the arms to fit through.
After that you hold the base in place, also you can clip the visor into the holder, and you use your screwdriver to carefully poke into the clips and turn so that they spread out fully and they're no longer tilted. Then holding everything in place and not letting the clips move, pop in the cover.
Good luck this one took hours to figure out. I guess that's why a mechanic charges money to install.
Great video, thank you so much!
Thanks for the warm feedback! 🙏🙏
Great help. Thanks
Thank you for this useful video 🙂
Thanks for your compliment!
you are the man.
many thanks
Thank you!!👍🏼💯😎
Thanks, helpful video 🔝
Thanks! Cheers!
THE BEST !!!
Thanks!
My replacement, ordered on Amazon for 2/3 the dealer price, came with all the parts mentioned, including the metal clips. Unfortunately, the clips did not fit and forcing them would damage the internal roof part where they were supposed to easily fit in. I instead had to reinstall the original clips, remove the new ones, and give that a try. No way, the hub is different. Live and learn.
We had to use the old clips too! So appreciate you mentioning to do that!
Thank you for your video 😬
Thanks for you feedback. Cheers!

I was able to replace the driver visor with no problem. I ordered the replacement for the passenger side and thought it would as simple to replace and it was not. I could not get the clips to catch. What am I doing wrong on the passenger side? I tried hammering it. I lost 2 clips in the ceiling. Please help. Thank you.
Thank you sir!
Thank you for you help
Thankyou , I SAVE
Info note. You must have the trim piece on the visor for the metal spring tabs to stay put when you install the new visor. The trim piece tabs hold the spring tabs in their hole in the visor mount. If you try to install the visor and then the trim piece the visor will not stay attached to the roof.
I need the thing that holds it on the other side though. What Is that called and where do I buy it?
Thank you very clear
Thanks for your positive feedback
Awesome thank you.
You are welcome! Cheers!
Thank you!
Muchísimas gracias me fue de gran ayuda!!
¡De nada! Estoy encantado de haber podido ayudarte.
Thanks. I need to replace both of mine.
Wow! Thats it? I'm heading out to my truck!
Wow, completely replaces in less than 2 minutes. I'm headed for the dealer, I bet he'll want $250 to do that
Hooray!
It was $50 each at dealer so I just left LOL
Good call! ;-)
I paid the $70. I don't have time to mess with finding another. Flopping down in my face was impossible to tolerate.
The part is like fifty bucks.
Thank you
You are welcome. It's my pleasure to share my experience and feedback to the society.
Thank You
My pleasure! :-)
After this has popped off several times I am inclined to think that two screws through a metal arm into a metal fitting (as on a 1978 Eldorado) is a much better set up for a sun visor. 👴
thanks!!!
Thanks for your feedback.
أحسنت.
hello Is this a genuine OEM part which is very pricey? I saw one on Amazon and was seeing if that would work or if it would be difficult to install...dealer wants $160.00
OEM will be good, Or you may find some parts in crashed cars in junk yard. Sometimes they let you uninstall some parts without charge. Installation is easy.
My Toyota visor is loose.
It keeps on dropping down. How can I fix that?
Please see my other video. ua-cam.com/video/yvPxParKy9w/v-deo.html
What're those clips called? I ordered the part and it didn't come with them, mines missing so I have no other parts to pick from.
I don't know the official name of those clips. If I were you, I would go to used auto part store (junk yard) to look for them. Camry is a very popular car, you can find some small parts from junk yards. Some times the owner will let you find them by yourself and take some for free. I got a cigarette lighter from a junkyard near by. Hope this helps.
@@peterlution Thanks very much, I'll find something in my area.
Were can u get a sun visor for a avalon maane there hard to find
Not sure about Avalon. You may find some old parts from "Used Auto Part Store" (automobile grave, or junk yard).
Arent sun visors universal, for the most part?
not universal. tell your model
where did you purchase the actual part??
I did not buy a new one. I fixed the old. Please see my other video ua-cam.com/video/yvPxParKy9w/v-deo.html
Unintentional ASMR
LOL! I knew nothing about ASMR...until today. That was really unintentional. :-D
BTW - go to the local auto graveyard, I got a visor for $20, too 2 phone calls to locate the right match, too easy
Well done!👍
Where did you buy the visor?
I did not buy the visor. I fixed it. If yours is beyond repaired, I would suggest you to go to a junk yard (Used Parts) to find one. Toyota Camry is very popular so you can find old parts from junk cars. Some junk yards even do not charge if you pick it up from the yard.
peterlution thanks
How did you fix it? Were the parts inside loose? Mine won't stay towards the windshield. Thanks.
Here's his other video showing his repair: ua-cam.com/video/yvPxParKy9w/v-deo.html

What color is that
Spikedout12&ZyKo_Loco I have forgotten what it was called. I call it light gray, but manufacturer might have their own fancy name.
Because I’m currently needing to replace both and it looks like the same color as yours
Stuck between a light beige or gray I don’t want to order the wrong color
@@spikedout13 I am sure it was light gray. Please watch my other video ua-cam.com/video/yvPxParKy9w/v-deo.html. Too bad I just traded my car last week and cannot take a look again.

Toyota : no it’s not a recall
Actually, this is only a subsequent video. My original video, ua-cam.com/video/yvPxParKy9w/v-deo.html, has been viewed over 500K . Toyota only offered free repair if customer complaint for a few months, but stop short for a recall.
