I’ve used Traktor in clubs since Scratch Duo, used the DVS vinyl and cds, timecoded wavs in CDJs, also with x1, x1mk2, audio cards etc and played for over 20 years in clubs. I also have used CDJs, rekordbox etc and find rekordbox as software unable to reach the heights of Traktor (let’s face it rekorbox is for usb sticks solution), so, even after a sluggish period of development, NI have released a strong product. I bought the Z1 Mk2 as with the way the scenes changed in the UK, small parties, gatherings, private parties are all picking up as peoples clubbing/social appetites change drastically. This product was so perfect for a grab and go, solution, mixing TPRO4 and paired with X1mk3 its great, does what you need and lots of new cool changes that aren’t revolutionary by any means, however, they do work in practice. You get enough TPRO features to use without manual mapping, and it just flows well, kind of fun also to use. For the tiny events, non-club sets, you don’t want to carry a big controller and or mixer, this solves it and just start mixing.
Native Instruments are specialists in this portables controllers. I love this products and functionalities. ( but remember: the Traktor Software is this STAR in this game ) #GoodDayGoodMusic from 🇧🇷 friends
Thanks so much for the kind words! Totally agree-Native Instruments has nailed the portability and functionality with the Z1, but Traktor definitely takes it to another level!Feels surreal to be getting love from Brazil 🫶🏿🇧🇷🔥
Hi there! I'm looking to build up my DJ skills, but I don’t have my own controller yet. Does anyone know of places that offer open practice rooms for DJing, or any options for getting hands-on time with equipment? I’d also be open to trading skills if there's anything you need assistance with for access if someone has a setup they’d be willing to share. Any advice or leads would be amazing! Location: JHB
I get you, this is a niche product. For anyone who wants a traditional DJ controller, it might not be worth it, but for people who are looking for a modular and minimal setup, this is perfect.
You're missing the point. This isn't aimed at beginners whereas the FLX2 and FLX4 are. The build quality on NI gear at this price point is light years better than Pioneer and Traktor is way more customisable than Rekordbox
@@DJ_Cue no you're missing the point dodo -- it's still overpriced for what it is! I can pay less and get a controller with drum pads, actual platters, and use it across multiple programs--not limited to just Traktor. plus you're spreading misinformation about those FLX controllers. they are NOT limited to just Rekordbox. can use Serato Lite, Serato DJ Pro, or DJay with them too. this isn't going to sell anywhere near what a DDJ FLX-4 does in the first 12 months of release
@ yes I know that the FLX series can be used with multiple software packages but comparing say Serato Lite to Traktor is like night and day. Yes this is a niche product not designed to sell as many units as the base FLX series which are beginners controllers. This isn’t that. I had an FLX6 a fee years ago and the build quality is awful compared to say an X1 Mk3. Horses for courses, my friend.

yes thozi we also want to see you dj on youtube.
Got you 😅😉
Highly recommended from a DJ who has been Djing since a decade
what happened to the hot cues? can't believe they removed it
Isn't it more a Mixer than a Controller?
Controller Unit is the X1 from NI
Yes it is, I actually find it easier to use alongside the X1. However, the fact that it can do all these things is hella impressive
Niceeeeeee!!! I’m m studying Traktor at the moment! 😊
Thank for this explanation! 🙏🏻

I miss the touch stripe for beat match lose much potential
Is it possible to Connect your monitor speakers into the Z1?
Good content ❤.
Thanks for this video!
Hey Thozi! Is it possible to use this controler to produce or a studio logiciel like ableton ou FL..?
How many options for gain and headphones do you actually need? They probably could have used those knobs for something else. Besides that, good vid.
The Reloop Mixtour Pro is way better. More expensive, but better. Not hard to map Traktor to it either.
I think a new S4 mk4 is coming but i dont think its needed. The S4 mk3 is still a beast for Traktor pro 4
Woah when was this released ?
Pretty much 😅
You included a picture of the X1 Mk3 in the intro, inbetween Z1 Mk2 image 😅
I literally just saw that 😂😂🌚

traktor is a good product but they still behind reloop mixtour pro. i think this is for a beginner dj.
need a stand alone one with those screens..
The old Traktor D2 was awesome for that reason! Just checked: The D2 is compatible with Traktor 4!
@@helldotsin something like that but 2 decks and mixer all in one maybe with 3 oled screens and not as big as the d2. plug and play! we could dream
woah.
Bro
You still need a play button so no… it’s not an all in one.
You can change it in the settings an e.g. use the FX buttons for start and stop.
Did you watch the whole video? 😅
@@thozimusicyou need both to mix. I know that
No browser mode?
@ did not think so
You all ways reviewing expensive djing products 💔😭😤
why would I pay $260 for this when I can get a Pioneer DDJ FLX2 for 179 or a DDJ FLX4 for 299? shit is a joke
