Such an amazing trail, definitely needs a sighting run though! I brake checked too much on the first step up and went splat on the face with the front wheel at the top of the landing, luckily didn't get injured but broke my saddle and bent both pedal shafts, rode out of it and finished the trail without trying any more of the step ups... Would I go back to Rotorua and do it all again? Absolutely, it's that good.
Haha, ouch, glad you're ok! That's a perfect example for why a sighting run is pretty important. The cheesy pre-run re-run free-run.. it’s got some logic behind it.
@@NewZealandMountainBiking Absolutely, it's such a well built trail and I'd cleaned everything up to that, I thought "It's not going to be that much bigger" but it is, and I had slowed down way too much because I thought I was going way too fast, just rolling would have been fine but braking caused me to come up short. I got out of it very lucky.
Im just starting to learn how to jump well do you have any advice on learning how to jump or do you know any tracks which are good for learning in redwoods im comfortable doing tracks up to grade 4 and maybe the easiest grade 5's great video btw
It's a good trail but doesn't hold a candle to Aline. There's room for a whole lot more tables down there in place of some of those rollers. Cool vid though and nice style lads!
Finally!! Looks mint, will need a lesson to tackle this one!
It’s definitely a fun one to learn.
Being waiting for this
But you guys need to do some of the dh lines
Trail bike version?

What would you recommend dialing in before hitting this? Mr Black?
Yeah definitely. Corridor Jumps, Huckleberry hound, Mr Black, Katore Jumps. The trail has the speed, you have to bring the confidence and ability.

Yeah get a lesson 😂😂 nah but seriously, ride trails you’re relaxed on and practice pumping. Challenge and corridor a pretty good place to start 🤙

Yea you’re right. A-line is a different kettle of fish. Great to hear your feedback 🤙
Is this a new one? When was it built
Used to be named little red riding huck which has been there as long as I remember which is like 4 years
@ ahh yeh I thought it might have been that one but renamed, cheers
But it was given a full face lift a couple of years ago (2021 or 22) which was when it had the name change

Yea and just feeling super comfortable on jumps. The section from hill rd to mid skid rd gives you a pretty good taste of what the full trail is like
