As far as guns go, if there were more or less would it be better or worse? I don’t know.
I personally don’t use guns or involve myself in crime or live in an area where there is a need to defend myself with a gun.

I live in Loring Park, the sirens of the squad cars, ambulances & firetrucks flying by was constant for about two hours. Helicopter was up around the same time but thank you MN Crime Watch for the X/Twitter updates to keep local residents up to date! Condolences for everyone effected.
