Hi Maymay. I am 71 years old and have re entry discovered you. Of all the videos I have watched you are the clearest with tools. I have been a quilter since 1967 but now enjoy card making and quilling. I am loving retirement
I love the way you demonstrate and talk us through your demonstration. You make us feel like we are there with you! Thanks you for simplifying things for us!
Love it! I don’t have all these fancy tools , to make lot things , but I can always count one you to come up with great ideas without all fancy tool . I enjoy watching your videos, I’m so happy that found you .
Hi Maymay, I am thrilled to see your re-creation of the box card I sent to you. Your version is so fun and I will add your envelope box to my arsenal. My friend and I made our first box cards from a template and then I made a cut file and cut the one I sent you with my Silhouette machine ( that is where the perforated fold lines come from). I love my "fancy" tools but it is really fun to make things by hand, too. Thanks for all the tutorials and fun, creative time that we all enjoy with you! Sending big hugs and lots of appreciation, Trish
No, I just create for my own use, but I think I saw a square version of the card in the Silhouette store. These are so much fun to make. My friends and I made a more shallow version and turned them into shaker cards. Happy crafting!
Trish Reddick that’s what I was thinking of doing.lol. I can imagine it saves lots on foam tape. Do you have a blog? Thanks for taking the time to respond I appreciate it.
Hi MayMay I just want to say this thank you for taking the time to always give Instructions and doing It. That's why your channel grows because of your kindness, your patience and your generosity. I just had to say that had it in my heart and I had to say it. Thanks
MayMay you are SO sweet!!! I just love listening to you talk :) You make me homesick (I live in Missouri and I'm from Texas). I enjoy your tutorials so very much. Thank you for always sharing and giving options for those of us that don't have all the fancy tools. I LOVE this card too!
Cute card and envelope! Can I suggest punching a half circle out of the top edge at the middle? Makes it easier for kids to get that little flap out, like a box of crayons. ☺
I like your idea of the box card I went and converted it to my design space so that way I don’t have to cut it by hand. And it worked out perfect I made a birthday card for a good friend of mine. I will be giving it to her this Tuesday. You are an amazing and talented person I enjoy watching your channel I have learned so much from you.. Mahalo🌺
I really like how this box card came out. Such a great idea and I can see endless ideas for the inside of the box. I always love how clear your instructions are. I'm going to try to make the inside of the box look like a store window, maybe a flower shop for spring. I think that would be so cute.
I love how you thought outside of the box. My mind is thinking of all of the cute stamp sets that this would work with. Thanks for another great video.
Woman you are one smart cookie! It amazes me how you can look at some of this stuff and figure out how to make it. I thank God for giving you your talent! thanks for the great card lesson. Can’t wait to make this. I hope you have a great day! ~written by Rayanna Arthur (Michaels wife on his device!)
You are amazing!!! I love how you take something that could be complicated and break it down so it is so easy to understand... I still say you missed your calling as a teacher !!!! Thanks for the tutorial !!!
I don’t think there is anything you cannot do. I love listening to you. You are the best craft teacher. So clear and informed. I wanted to know what tool you are using to pick up the black pop us sticky dot things? And I love your big glue bottle and narrow tip. Do you sell these on your site?
Once again you have knocked it out of the park! I made a "tunnel card" of sorts for my son-in-law's upcoming 40th birthday. He played golf in college, and is still an avid player. (When we were at rheir house, the Master's tournament was being played. On their kitchen message board was the following : Happy Masters Week!) When he became a part of our family, I picked up a sticker sheet with golfing images. The card turned out like I envisioned, except the foam tape creating the layers was visible ( and UGGGLLLLY!). From your video, I made a box to put it in and attached it to the front of my card base. When I create the box for the whole card, I will use more of those golf images from the sticker sheet to decorate it. I will send pix if you want to see them. However, I must warn you that the white embossed sentiment on black cardstock was not pretty!😦 I can never seem to keep some of those little flecks of embossing powder from grabbing on. If they would just go on evenly I would pass it off as done on purpose.😂
Hi MayMay😍 This card box is beautiful! You can do anything I swear!! You can recreate anything! As always you amaze me. Thanks so much for teaching us another beautiful card
Oh My!!!!! Just love the box envelope. Often get carried away with embellishing and it looks like a mess when stuffed in an envelope??? Will let you know how the postage cost works out??? And yes Mam, thanks for the adorable card idea too. Wouldn't that be pretty with handmade jewelry inside?
I knew you would one day do this and I was so looking forward to seeing how your creative mind would go about recreating this card. You are AWESOME.!! You are truly blessed with a creative mind. 😄
So cute! My grand daughter will love this for her 5th birthday coming up! But of course it will have to be rainbows and unicorns!! Thanks for the tutorial!!
Made this for Easter last year but this year I’m making it for Halloween. I’m gonna make it a shaker card by adding a window sheet. Thanks for the tutorial!!
Hello there, this has to be the sweetest card/gift ever! I don't know how you find the details to do these but you are amazing, I am new to all of this but have made some creations lately, will be posting them to you FB page real soon. Thanks for all of your time and patients that goes into these complex cards, I think that your truly blessed with amazing talent. Hi to Vinney please. God Bless. TFS.
WOW; this is an amazing tutorial, for which many, many thanks. I cannot believe I have actually managed to create a "book" card and a box without any expletives, hair-tearing or foot-stomping. Thank you! Would you by any chance have measurements for making this ensemble from 12 x 12 paper? Marion in the UK
I absolutely love your tutorials and creations! I think the same way! Your hilarious too, that llama and big cupcake! Lol. Maybe I'll bump into you one day! I'm in south AL :)
Hi, Maymay. Guessing that it's a Silhouette file, or that she adapted it in the Silhouette software. Those perf folds are how many designers use the Silhouette cutter. Thanks for your tutorial. Kay
MayMay GentlemanCrafterUK had a video on making those boxes. he uses a honkydory thing but if you watch, as i did, you can figure out how to make the box and i think it will be close to this one. Love your videos. Thanks
I think if you miter cut across where you cut the rectangle out instead and left an in to be scored at 1/2 an inch, you’d have the finished inside like the box you received. I think. Haven’t tried it yet to see.
