  • I this video I fix a broken Nintendo 64 PSU (power supply). This was possible, because Vince from the / @mymatevince channel found out about failing resistors on the board. So thank you very much Vince for figuring this out!! Please give him a follow! Also thanks to Chris from / @gadgetuk164 who verified this on a recent video! Please give him a follow as well!!

I have a broken PSU, I checked the mentioned resistor and it's in open circuit measuring 3.6M ohms!
    I can't believe I missed that one!
    Thanks for the video anyway!
    Very instructive!!

wii/wii u AC cords are a perfect fit for some reason, just the color does not match but they have the same strain release and all, exactly the same design.
I have a bad of Japanese AC adapters I hope they will work at 230v with just the cap and varistor replaces, I got some thermal cam so I'll mod one and leave it working for a day or so, checking the temperatures, when I compared the PAL and NTSC power adapters, they look more less the same inside.

How did you remove the glue? Do you have a discord and would be willing to help me fix it? I want to learn but I feel a bit in over my head

Hi. I used tweezers to remove the glue. I don't have discord, but of course I'm willing to help you, if I can.

@@TheKonsolistI tested it, my prongs are not as thin as yours but I wasn’t able to get a high reading like at all I’m pretty sure I was touching the metal parts and never came up or close to 240

@0hleg OK. There's a great video that shows what else to test. ua-cam.com/video/3BipPFDB4BA/v-deo.htmlsi=lN9ZrhforkMLTN5m

I only found one schematic of the PSU. There it says 16V - 18V.
