Liking these bike ride videos in Myrtle Beach. I'm going to have to rewatch this the next time it rains and I'm riding my indoor exercise bike so I feel like I'm biking around Myrtle Beach! If you bike any good trails in Myrtle be sure to post those!
We are coming in October for the wife’s 40th birthday can’t wait hope the weather is nice 🤞we love watching your videos thanks for all the information.
hi Carmen, another great video for the tourist type as you know this place well and your descriptions are great. you get those facts out while biking and never miss a breath. ive learned alot from your videos but im kinda the old guard of myrtle beach and garden city. i guess ive been coming to the grand strand for 2 weeks a year since i was 5 or 6. so thats 60 years lol. ive seen thing come and go ten times over but i can watch your videos each time ad see new things or things gone before i even get there. thanks so much for posting. i hope the newbies to the beach enjoy and listen. thanks guys Larry
That’s awesome you’ve been visiting your whole life! I came here as a small child, but my dad was Navy in Vietnam and had PTSD that was undiagnosed and so we didn’t go to the beach from the time I was about five until I was an adult and could go on my own. But I think that makes me appreciate it even more.
well sorry about your dad, my dad was in bombers in ww2 my moms two brothers were army colonels in ww2 and my dads brother a captain. im sure they all suffered ptsd certainly my dad but he loved the beach and my mom. you keep up what your doing i think its wonderful. Larry@@CarmenandBrian
Hi Carmen and Brian. We stay at MB every year usually during the last half July at the Crown Reef Resort at the south end. Just love it. We also love your biking videos of Ocean Blvd. Do you ever bike Ocean Blvd south end? Be fun to see. Your videos really gets us psyched to go back 😊.
Yes we always bike the south end just usually cut of the video before getting there because it ends up being so long. We'll try to get one with the South end included! :)
My favorite places to stay in MB are Island Vista ( only stayed once, on the pricey side), Dunes Village Resort and currently we book at BayWatch Resort in NMB. Island Vista and Dunes Village are on the north end of MB in a quiet area. But only a short drive to entertainment in NMB and the Boardwalk in MB. BayWatch resort is in a great location and you book the exact room you want in different price ranges according to your budget.
If you mean the one near the old pavilion area, we saw what looked like a group. As if they had rented it out. I haven't seen it open for walk ups. Doesn't mean it's not open, just haven't seen it personally.
Been watching all your videos, driving from Boston to MB the last week in August but still so undecided on where to stay as most of the hotels have pretty bad reviews. Family of 4 with two teen boys. Looking into crown reef, the landmark… any other hotel recommendations with parking? Tia! Love your videos!
If you want ocean front we liked staying at the Marriott Residence Inn. If you're open to non-ocean front options, the Hampton Inn at Broadway at the Beach is nice and only a little over a mile from the beach. Both have parking. Here's our hotel playlist and both of those hotels are in this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLX-M6xaJhefymtb5mvTZEPYJOCBI8F6BA.html
We went to Broadway on beach today up to n. Myrtle, Olympic flame for breakfast. Got pizza from Mello mushrooms. Tomorrow's my sons birthday getting Krispy creams for him. Going our someplace cool for dinner. Watching Steelers tonight in our phones. Live u guts. Be safe. Ppl are pretty dangerous
About 16 minutes in y'all passed Bar Harbor, not the most posh hotel on the strip, but later in the summer season, they have more reasonable rates and especially during autumn and winter. Have you tried out the electric battery bicycles? Don't know the price points, but it might be easier getting up n down Ocean Blvd. Love the channel as always. Have you ever been to N Naples fl around Wiggins pass park , the beach there is breathtaking .
Thanks for sharing regarding Bar Harbor! We prefer manual bikes for the exercise. When we film this we're usually doing a 20+ mile ride total for the exercise. So glad you enjoy the channel! We have not been to Naples but we've been to a few places in FL including Key West and it's beautiful!
That law that says locals can't stay in motels seems kind of weird to me. Seems like if they did something against the law in a room it would be easier to catch them if they're local.
Agreed! We're trying one reservation and we'll see what happens when we get there. I've heard sometimes they turn you away when you show up with a local ID but they have our local info online already so if that's true it's odd they'll let you make the reservation.
