Most of us black Africans lack financial literacy. Our parents don't teach us about money from tender ages
They didn't have money either so even they couldn't have known how to deal with it. They(our parents) lived hand to mouth because they barely earned enough not to. It would be great if we did get taught about finances at school though.

There's nothing surprising about this show though. Our people have never been exposed to large sums of money, money that you don't work for disappears like air.. Plus a million is peanuts if you are just spending it. If he had bought an apartment or house it would have been better. But the poverty mindset is really difficult to overcome.
