Canada and Dubai are different are not comparable

You are just trying to make it against dubai for no reason! Theres a massive difference in airfares between the two to Pakistan (multiply that by 4 for your family dynamics). And No..value of dirham is no less than candian dollars, UAE dirham is pegged with US dollar if you know!
Passports are not with your employer, you might be talking about labour class, not the management employees! N if you are actually speaking on behalf of labour class regarding the passport keeping issue, then why would he put his child in a 70k dirham school when his pay is only 8K. It doesnt make sense n also there is a wide range of schools available in UAE for each income bracket… 70k for the upper income class! Please get your facts right before making such videos trying too hard to justify your decision of moving to Canada. It might suit your financial situation but not everyones. Specially considering UAE offers a tax-free income despite providing the most lavish facilities n rather basic standard of living to everyone here!
Please don’t be offended but get your facts right before commenting. Please Google how many AEDs equal a Canadian dollar. Please also listen carefully as I have admitted in the video that the fare of uae to Pakistan is almost 20% of the fare of Canada to Pakistan. Regarding the passport issue, that’s a fact that’s a fact.
I know the conversion rate,, but for your info, that doesnt define the strength of a currency! Dirham being pegged to the US dollar defines how strong of a currency it is! You need to maybe read more on this!
I have been living in UAE for more than a decade n our passports are with us. You might be speaking about employees who work under locals privately but companies have no such policies atleast not in the management sector.

Before you jump to any conclusions, i am a Canadian PR holder myself while my husband n kids are Canadian citizens! But doesnt mean the facts can be twisted or wrong info should be let go of!
