Just saw them at a last minute replacement show in Connecticut. So much fun. I had never really listened beyond Our Darkest Days, but that has all changed this last week
This guy reminds me of myself. I have been trying to sing for several bands for the last 10 years and the result is identical. Just not hitting the notes and lacking the range. He seems like a nice guy otherwise :). They should tune down their guitars and not torture him.
I know Zoli is impossible to match, that high pitched voice is very unique. But honestly, Eli butchers every song, maybe it's not his fault, he just can't do it 🤷🏻♂️ but this is cringe 101 . I love Ignite and 21/10 I'll be front stage, but it's just painful to ear...😥
Always a problem when singers change and you got different styles and ranges (see Iron Maiden). Here I think it's like you say. Zoli was mocked as opera-core but has a very distinct high voice and could actually sing (which is not common for a HC band). I also feel that a lot of the songs (more since A place called home) are written from Zoli's hungarian personal perspective so it feels awkward to just have another "sing" it while not having a connection.
@@SalameAurora Yes, what I meant with Iron Maiden. Blaze Bayley was asked to sing songs that are in another range and tone. With his own band he managed to use his voice in the best way. Zoli was just very unique for Hardcore vocals therefore the guy before him is also not that popular other than amongst early fans. So I think they trying hard to make it work but they should reinvent the band with new material instead of butchering the older songs which rely heavily on Zoli's voice
My favorite format of concerts. I want my times back))
Saw these guys in Rostock, 14.06.2022, SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!
Ignite without Zoli, is not the same 😞😩

this could be easily less awkward to our ears if they simply play the songs half step down or one.

@@SalameAurora This should have been done on their first rehearsal together.
Nope...
songs are too high for his voice. they should at least play the songs lowering their tune, maybe half step or one step.
Totally. He's struggling because it's just not his range. He has a nice voice.
