Bluefish are one of my favorite species to fish, especially on light tackle. That 22 pounder was a absolute tank! My pb is 19 pounds and fought like a 200 pound tuna! Lol......awesome video as always!
Bing watching videos and came across this again Haha. Dude big blues are a sight man. This year they came back which is cool. I had a 40" 24lb and was like you and just amazed. To know they get that big is something to see.
Some awesome catches right there. When the fish are blowing up like that, try to drop a tube type jigs or diamond jigs to get below the bunker where the Stripers are coming up underneath. You noticed how you caught the big Blue with that weighted snatch hook by getting the bait below the school of baitfish; much the same concept. It is difficult to get the fish to come up through the bait to strike a solitary lure because the have all of the bait in front of their nose to choose from. Like going through a buffet line; you often fill up your plate with the tasty treats you encounter first and always end up saying, "Shoot, I am full and didn't even get to eat what I wanted to really go for."
how long was the blue? i catch them alot now and i dont have a scale. my brother caught a 34 incher yesterday and there are much bigger blues but havent gotten anything bigger yet
Few questions about the Tiralejo, I'm looking to get a new plugging and bait stick Rod. Do you suggest it for doing just that? And how does it throw plugs for bass, how far can you get them out there? Thanks keep the great videos coming.
Great video bro..congrats on your PB.. I miss hunting for those blues..Here in Georgia they don't get that big..2 great fish and that whale takes the cake..just AWESOME..🐟..🐟..🐋🖒🖒
Love the videos man! Are these secret jetties? lol seems to be no one else fishing in most of your surf videos. Every time I hit North Jersey I could poke other fishermen with my fishing rod that's how packed it is.
haha there are no secret jetties in NJ, I just went to an area where I didn't see many people fishing, you are right though there have been some ridiculous crowds especially in years past, in a week or 2 if the fish are still around the crowds will be bad
Hey i was fishing a lake and i saw a small dam, behind it was a big creek the water was rushing from under the rocks i was standing on...... well one big 11 by 11 foot rock its huge the shad where like in that first blitz there all around us but the lake was low and there where no catfish or freshwater stripers. but it was such a sight to see FOR 2 HOURS STR8!!! that i didn't care that i got no big catfish. but i had some lunch left over so i fished with it......... then i got 2 ok sized bass (Sea-Money Fishing) wait what was your lunch? (me) french frize..................... and i never fineshed my lunch ever again........ lol
I surf fished from Sea Bright to Sandy hook and in the bay at Port Monmouth yesterday. The only action I saw all day was at Port Monmouth where I only caught 1 at 30". They were blowing up about a half mile offshore, just out of reach, with the occasional chase at bait in closer. Still, only managed that one, and everyone I talked to Tuesday said it was a shitty day, even further south around Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights. Hopefully it was just random shit day, the conditions were perfect, but the fish hard to find and get onto from shore.
@Wyatt Pultz - yep, Sea Money is a great angler and his vids are excellent. Contact me through the website listed in the description and lets see what i can build for you.
I've been in this situation before many time with a few big fish on thousand of small bait. It's extremely frustrating but when I don't get any hit on top I switch over to a SP minnow or something flashy. Seems to get their attention all the time.
Big blue fish!... My biggest was 25-lbs caught on the rocks at 2nd beach Newport R.I. 1997 I released him as well. What a fight! Good fishing to all!!!
WHAT A GORILLA!!!!! Awesome job! How long did it take you to get it in? I could just imagine the runs it kept taking. Pound for pound, a monster blue like that is way more powerful than a 50" striper!
there is a bluefish tournament going on at the pier i fish at everyday in north carolina and the leader is 2.6 pounds so a 22 pounder is ridiculous, congrats
one day do you think you will ever come to new york? if you do you should come to far rockaway. there are lots of good places to go fishing, and it would be nice to learn more about fishing from an expert like you.
Sea Money, I want to know some techniques for hooking bluefish using bunker chunks, would letting the fish hook itself and letting it run be a good one
I’m surprised how calm it is, I catch little 6 inch bluefish (I try to get big ones but I can only manage to catch little ones from the beach) and they fight like crazy.
to bad you didn't catch that blue when you were up north during the contest, but good job, I haven't seen them in 36 years use to catch them from the surf
don't know if you meant that for me but you can't argue 20lb power pro for most of your inshore species. and if you have the rod to target bigger fish you can use 30lb or 50lb. but I got lucky when I caught that snook on only 15lb line and 20lb leader
lol that was crazy..........i once was confrunted with a whale i was prayin for two things my life....and a clean pair of shorts........nice vid money excellant way to hook'em up
Six years later, I still watch this video periodically...and I crack up every time @ your reaction to that big Bluefish! 😂
same here 🤣
22LBS BLUEFISH?????? That IS ridiculous!!! Congratulations on your new PB! Awesome catch!
Extreme Philly Fishing love the vidz man keep up the great work
phiily.time to use your bait fishes for big blue.
You really are everywhere! 😂
Ca Pa lol
Born Lucky Bro...My new goal is to beat that 22lbs Bluefish. No doubt.
Bluefish are one of my favorite species to fish, especially on light tackle. That 22 pounder was a absolute tank! My pb is 19 pounds and fought like a 200 pound tuna! Lol......awesome video as always!
What a freakin' beast blue fish. We don't get any bluefish, anywhere near that size in South Florida man. Congratz to you.
Sweet fish! You should do a compilation of all your biggest fish!
This is why I love all your videos man !!!! Great catch and awesome video !
Luis Rojas

Bing watching videos and came across this again Haha. Dude big blues are a sight man. This year they came back which is cool. I had a 40" 24lb and was like you and just amazed. To know they get that big is something to see.

Dude you tied the world record!!! Congratulations
GIANT BLUE! good on you mate
HOLY COW thats the BIGGEST BLUEFISH IVE EVER SEEN and ive been fishing since i was 7 yrs old back in the early 70,s

Damn thats huge. But imagine how hard the 31 pounder fought!!!
how long was the blue? i catch them alot now and i dont have a scale. my brother caught a 34 incher yesterday and there are much bigger blues but havent gotten anything bigger yet

Im not totally sold on this tiralejo I would honestly go for a lami or mojo surf
Sea-Money Fishing could you suggest any types of lamis
Great video bro..congrats on your PB.. I miss hunting for those blues..Here in Georgia they don't get that big..2 great fish and that whale takes the cake..just AWESOME..🐟..🐟..🐋🖒🖒
This first ring on your rod looks interesting. Is that a small ring in a bigger one? What's the deal with this?
I was there Saturday and managed a 40lb bass live lining bunker about 200yds off the beach in the yak.
On the first guide to your rod is there a smaller eye a couple of inches from it
The fall run is in full effect man! Gotta love catching them big gals
#damnson!!!!! That's one hell of a bluefish mane!! Great vid man. Congrats on the pb
thanks dude!
Dang that blue was spending quality time at the bunker buffet...nice fish man
2:08 that smash of the bait... NICE... That bluefish was awesome. Great fishing.
Great work. Do you ever provide guide service?
Dude! Sick Fish! Congrats! That Pompano rod handled that thing nice.
Nice!! 22lbs!! I didn’t think they got that big. My best is around 10-12!! That’s a nice “trash” fish!!
Do you stock up on menhayden (bunker) and mullet around this time of year?
Per Wiki, the record bluefish is 31lb 12oz. Off N. Carolina 2009.
Love the videos man! Are these secret jetties? lol seems to be no one else fishing in most of your surf videos. Every time I hit North Jersey I could poke other fishermen with my fishing rod that's how packed it is.

You do a fine job keeping your narration clean & fun, but that Blue was worth an F-bomb. Damn son.
When I fished for Bluefish in SC, we would be lucky to get them over 10lbs! Great job!
When you're kayaking this time of year what's your apparel situation? Waders and a dry top, dry suit? Great videos man.
waders and a hoody haha, #teamcotton
Nice catches man, that thing is a beast
Are there more whales recently along the jersey coast?
Hey i was fishing a lake and i saw a small dam, behind it was a big creek the water was rushing from under the rocks i was standing on...... well one big 11 by 11 foot rock its huge the shad where like in that first blitz there all around us but the lake was low and there where no catfish or freshwater stripers. but it was such a sight to see FOR 2 HOURS STR8!!! that i didn't care that i got no big catfish. but i had some lunch left over so i fished with it......... then i got 2 ok sized bass
(Sea-Money Fishing) wait what was your lunch? (me) french frize..................... and i never fineshed my lunch ever again........ lol
Damn dude!! That sick. I think I'm getting a kayak. Congrats on that blue fish. What a monster!
31 lbs 12 oz. off Cape Hatteras, Jan 1972. Guy was trolling for stripers. I was surf fishing for blues that weekend & saw the weigh-in at Buxton.
Wow. Gonna be a long time before you get another bluefish PB! Also that looked like a humpback whale. So awesome!
WOW !!!! Great fish and an awesome video......love that whale....he was a little bigger than that blue i bet !
Take a drink every time Dude, Says Dude 😋
Gator!!! That's great, congrats on shattering that PB! Hopefully I'll break my PB tomorrow! Tight lines
I saw it on Instagram and was so amazed then showed my dad and he has been fishing for ever and even he was like wtf
Hey @Sea-Money Fishing I must have missed out on the MVderby results. Mind filling me in on the end results thanks, and another awesome video.
Nice bass and that blue was a beast!!
How were there only peanuts and you caught that adult bunker
I think that whale was the blue fish!?
North or south jersey? I'm trying to track the striper.
My pb is only 20 :(. Very nice day out there! I've been going tog crazy lately but maybe I should try catching some stripers and blues again
I plan to definitely get a new rod for stripers. definitely going to look in to that rod.
@Wyatt Pultz - yep, Sea Money is a great angler and his vids are excellent. Contact me through the website listed in the description and lets see what i can build for you.
awesome man, and what a great day fishing. congrats on the new pb bluefish.
did u get a length on the big blue
What kind of pole is that? Should mention what your using. Notice you switch it up
I've been in this situation before many time with a few big fish on thousand of small bait. It's extremely frustrating but when I don't get any hit on top I switch over to a SP minnow or something flashy. Seems to get their attention all the time.
Is the kayak derby over? What are the standings? Great vid:)
How to you go from fishing in PA to NJ? Do you have licenses in both?
What type of line and lbs?
Gonna go surf fishing in jeresy on nov 8 any tips for baits?
Bass Casters use Hilary vote ballets. All of the fish will bite.
cant go wrong with clams
Bass Casters top water lures, spin baits
Bass Casters also manic minnows
lol
where is this at?
Congratz! Those are some freaking awesome fish! especially the blue!
Hello been watching your vids around were is that place ? Thanks

I gotta say i just bought that rod a few weeks ago and I love it! thanks for your feedback on it
Nice blue.. Me and my buddy are going out to long island for blues at the end of may
Big blue fish!...

I have a yellow Tsunami pencil popper, I fis it all the time this fall. nothing has hit it yet.
Monster Bluefish! Congrats dude!
nice bass and bluefish! good on you on the releases!
one day do you think you will ever come to new york? if you do you should come to far rockaway. there are lots of good places to go fishing, and it would be nice to learn more about fishing from an expert like you.
Where is this in New Jersey? Is this belmar?
yep
What are the weather temps down there this time of year? What about water temp?
Chris W that's my name, give it back
How far does your 7ft pompano cast?
once agin you killed it son
Can you tell me the popper you used there?
Sea Money, I want to know some techniques for hooking bluefish using bunker chunks, would letting the fish hook itself and letting it run be a good one
I'm amazed your still have all your fingers... Nice catch
Great video full of action!
What did you catch him on?
Great video congrats on your new PB 👍🏻👊🏻💥🤘🏻🐟💯
So sick! I'm jealous of the audio. Any tips? Mine is garbage.
Robert Stair maybe an external mic? not sure what he uses
5lbs off the state record!! nice fish! beast.
Nice catch bro. Keep it coming man. nice vid
nice fish dude. I wish I could come fishing with u. I'm only 2 hrs from nj.
What pole is that? Length,weight?
caught my pb 40" snook blind casting a spook into three feet of water
JovayElisabeth Sanchez what's the best type of line? And lbs?
don't know if you meant that for me but you can't argue 20lb power pro for most of your inshore species. and if you have the rod to target bigger fish you can use 30lb or 50lb. but I got lucky when I caught that snook on only 15lb line and 20lb leader
Thanks what type of line do you recommend for a 6,0 medium action spinning rod &a reel combo?
probably some 10lb braid. I have a nice setup just like that and caught tons of fish on the lighter line since it let's you cast farther
Alright thanks I was jw because I have 10lb braid but I wasn't sure if it would be good
WTG DUDE THAT WAS AWESOME SIZE IT MADE YOUR DAY THAT DAY ......
Monmouth beach? If so I fish there all the time at the jetty
Nice bluefish man 👍🎣💪💯
lol that was crazy..........i once was confrunted with a whale i was prayin for two things my life....and a clean pair of shorts........nice vid money excellant way to hook'em up
That thing could eat my personal best bluefish, though to be fair i never target them. Monster man congrats.
What's your PB blue and stripe
That is the biggest blue fish I've ever seen. I am quite jealous .
Beautiful chopper!
What part of nj is this
