My dad died 42 years ago and he was my best friend. I miss him everyday, even now, mostly his hugs and non judgemental talks, but mostly the fun and laughs we had. Nowadays I remember him with smiles (and he is still my best friend).

OMG Shannon! When I was a kid, I would sit outside the garage, while my dad and brother, played pool and play with the frogs. Their names were, Sam, Ralph and Charlie.

Maymay your Top is Adorable I love tops like this the cut....the flowy and the sleeves are awesome for me I wear my tops year round so in the winter cuz here in MI it gets really cold so I wear Turtlenecks and or Tops that are turtnecks and have Hand warmer sleeves....so I can wear everything literally year round!! Your August is my March. My son, my mom and I were all born in August. On March 15th, 2019 my soulmate, WESTIE, Bethy passed away. In March our elderly Tom cat, Jonas disappeared. Om March 22nd, 2021 my dog, Tally passed away (we adopted her after Bethy died). No deaths in March this year, thank God!
Grief counselors will tell you to make new memories for the dates that you struggle with.

I just ordered 2 copies of Betty Confetti for my granddaughters for Christmas! Maymay, I know what you mean about August losses. 4 years ago this Aug. 24th, I shopped and had lunch with my younger sister Terri. She was 56 years old. I dropped her off at her house about 2:00 and later that day, as she sat in her recliner watching tv, God called her home. I know the sudden, painful loss of losing someone you love so much. Have to comment on the accent, my grandchildren regularly imitate my Texas "country" accent. One of my grandfather's was from Tennessee and those roots are evident.

My Grandma Moffett’s favorite hymn was Amazing Grace and her favorite Christmas hymn is Silent Night. My mom cries every time she hears it.

The difference is that the Buffalo check (also known as a Buffalo plaid) originated as an alternating red and black pattern with a larger pattern size as compared to gingham prints. Gingham is typically a smaller check pattern originating with red, white and blue prints woven with white.
