Either the two female constables are lying or their force has intentionally failed to comply with a mandatory instruction from the Home Office to have all officers briefed on the NPCC guidance on public photography by October 2022 at the very latest. The Home Office also mandated that a subject MUST be advised on the activation of BWV at the earliest opportunity. This has to be included in every force's code of conduct. As a retired police sergeant I know many officers quite deliberately choose not to comply

Why don’t car manufacturers start putting number plates on the inside of the car?
They don't put number plates on. They make and sell the car.
You will find quite a lot of BMWs and Audis do, but this is more to trick the static anpr cameras. So they don’t get flagged with no insurance.
On the same topic, where would you put these internal number plates and why ? 👍✌🏻
