No word of a lie, this just happened to me yesterday: ok so, I'm from Australia but I've recently been traveling across Europe for the past few months, a few days ago I had all my money stolen by some fellow travelers, leaving me with nothing. I'm currently in Amsterdam, yesterday morning I had to check out of the accommodation I had previously booked, so from then on I was homeless. I stuck around at reception using their WiFi, I searched for a Yes fam Netherlands group, found one, joined then posted to the ground if there was a Amsterdam WhatsApp group, and luckily enough there was! I posted to my story to the group and literally no more than 5 mins later I received a message from a lovely German girl living in Amsterdam offering me her couch and we've been hanging out having a blast for the past day and a half! All thanks to the Yes Theory community!!

The people of Turkey, are the most kind people my wife and I ever encountered. Their kindness is genuineothers can be as critical as you want, but you will not find people who are as sincerely thoughtful, and helpful, as the Turkish. Certainly not in France/Monaco, Germany, or Greece. I apologize to the good people of those three European Countries, but in our travels we never encountered such kindness. The Turkish people, and the people of Norway, actually made us want to visit them again.....which we have. Turkey, and Norway, are absolutely beautiful Countries. Istanbul may be the most beautiful City we have ever seen. Its sheer beauty defies imagination. Now, this is just my opinion, and I could be wrong......but I don't think so.

An important lesson from this episode is that when travelling, whether solo or as a group, we should always trust our gut feeling. We are all about seeking discomfort and going beyond the socially imprinted fear of strangers in connecting with one another, and I am all about that too. BUT, let's acknowledge that sometimes it is OK to say no, or to even step back when a certain situation or person doesn't feel right.
