I saw someone using temporary lockdown with this. You'd think its anti-synergy, but if you blink the lockdown, it gives an ETB of your blade/hopeless nightmare.
@@The_Cloudpost Fortune, Loyal Steed flickers the creature that saddled it, and itself. I've seen it more with prototype creature payoffs like Combat Thresher, Phyrexian Fleshgorger, or Steel Seraph, which can all be played as prototypes on turn 4, saddle Fortune, and return as the full version of themselves.
I've been running Moon-Circuit Hacker to bounce pixie, which creates it own little draw loop as well as allowing you to reuse pixie for other cards. T1 Hopeless T2 Pixie>Hopeless T3 Hacker>Pixie> (Either pick up Hopeless for another discard or pick Hacker back up to draw another card next turn)
Hmm. I have a Oltec Matterweaver/Nexus of Becoming combo deck and keep forgetting to adjust it for a Hostile Investigator. It could be back breaking when you force 5 cards to be discarded at instant speed.
haven't tried this deck yet, but playing against it, in best of 1 anway, it was def annoying to play against. the edict effects are randomly good vs things i like to play also which contributed i'm sure.
I swear I could watch more magic videos if the gruul players weren't always so dumb. Really cool midrange strategy. I love how it starts at such a low part of the curve. I bet Graveyard Trespassers will play a whole lot better than the Lilianas. Between the discarding making graveyard targets and fouling up curve outs, Trespasser is going to be hitting for 4-5-6 constantly. I respect the low curve, but if you want to take a bit fewer vegetables, one Cruelty of Gix might really tie the room together.
I think You're onto something with graveyard trespasser, its already back breaking enough that they have limited cards in hand so its ward cost could be too much sometimes! Great idea! also not a bad call for Cruelty, we may have to try it out.

That's such a strange interaction, we may have to try it out. 💙
Just getting back into standard. Frantically researching orzhov sideboard cards for my aggro deck
Heck yeah this is one of our favorite builds in standard!💙
This deck running a 3/1 split of Guardian and Fortune feels really nice.
Fortune?

Ah thats a really cool brew we love flicker effects, we just might have to give it a go.💙
I wonder if there could be an Esper Variant that is strong too. Blade of Shared Souls for double the blade fun.
Chris that's a sweet idea that we hadn't even considered thank you for the brew suggestion!

Decklist in the link and the deck pictured in the video don't appear to match. Which is your more current version?
Sorry the link has the newest version 👍💙

Oltec Matterweaver + Roxanne, Starfall Savant
(+Ghired Mirror of the Wilds)
I call it Naya Meteor Shower
Haha I love the idea, Hostile investigator is becoming one of my favorites!

Its really did pop out of nowhere, with tithing blade. the card is suprisingly great for a common haha
I have so many iterations of this deck. It’s fun and powerful.
Heck yeah we really enjoyed playing it, the synergies are super fun. 💙

Does not Teisa fits in this list?
If your referring to Teysa, Opulent Oligarch shes not a bad addition as a low cost creature, is that the card you meant?
could've lived if played flanker at 19;20ish on their end step scried land to top untap play faerie and replay flanker
Dang we missed the play, thanks for showing us though, that's a pretty slick play haha. 💙
Deck gets flattened by Boros convoke, sadly
True, but that's where that sweet sideboard comes in.
You can run Temporary Lockdown
