Let's give it up for Dunning, not just tonight, but all season filling in for DeGrom. Just seems like a lot of things are falling into place for this team, and that points to Chris Young getting some nice pieces and hiring Boce. Shows what the right manager can do when he has these guys playing to their abilities.
Yeah the rotation has been a bright spot for the Rangers this year and Chris Young has talked about that to a degree, but he says that they're looking for more pitching help since they dont want to over use Dunning in the rotation. Plus they're looking for another bat to add to their lineup since they haven't been getting any production from Garver in the DH spot. Thats why they've looked into Andrew McCutchen from the Pirates and Rich Hill. Ideally if you get both McCutchen and Hill, you would have to move Dunning to the bullpen and option Yerry Rodriguez to AAA if you did this move but its a move worth exploring. If you look at the potential lineup and rotation with those 2 additions, it can be very interesting: 2B Marcus Semien SS Corey Seager 1B Nathaniel Lowe RF Adolis Garcia 3B Josh Jung DH Andrew McCutchen C Jonah Heim LF Ezekiel Duran CF Leody Taveras Starting Rotation: LHP Martin Perez RHP Nathan Evoaldi LHP Andrew Heaney RHP Jon Gray LHP Rich Hill
@@moniquelovestr8095 He said DeGrom wasn't coming here either and adamantly I might add but you see what happened. I don't think they need another bat. If there's someone out there by the trade deadline, let's hope there's some depth for the bullpen.
I admit I was not a Dunning fan earlier in the year but he has really been impressive as a starter. Great HR's by Adolis Garcia and Ezequiel Duran. I'm shocked Seager or Semien didn't hit a HR last night
I remember when they would score 9-10 runs per game but the pitching would give up 11-13 per game. If they keep this up it’s gonna be a fun season. Let’s go Rangers!!!!
I feel bad for Dunning. One frigging out, 2 strikes away from a complete game 2 hit shut-out yet ends up 8 2/3 2 runs 5 hits. 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 outs in the 9th is a travesty. That call at first on Ibanez in my opinion was a shit call. It was close but slow motion showed the ball touched leather before the foot hit the rubber. To me this is just a continuation of NY vs. the Rangers over Pride night rejection. ....but thats me. I must say Duran getting struck out on 3 pitches looking by a position player was as funny as it was embarrassing. Schoop did pitch surprisingly well retiring 4 of 5 he faced and striking out a hell of a hot hitter at that lol. 10-0 sounds sooo much better especially for Dane. All in all great game and big win especially with the Asstros winning.
What a start by Dane!!

Lol why in the world would you take Dunning out of the rotation? You'd make a terrible GM and manager.
@@daniel.Rangers2023Dane Dunning almost got a shut out last night like why would you take him out of the rotation
@@daniel.Rangers2023dumbest thing I've ever heard thank you
@@LinkRocks because you're trying to save his usage as a pitcher
Let’s go Rangers!! My Texas My Rangers! Fan since 6yrs 2011 heartbreak 💔 let’s bring it home boys!
I've been Rangers fan since 1970. I was 5yrs old. They're playing awesome.
Dunning almost got a Maddux but still pitched a gem. The bats were hitting good pitches like they've been doing all season. This is sich a fun season.
To get tossed for a little wave of the hand is petty. It's his last game here and he should have been able to finish it.
Dunning is stepping the eff up man wow, great game!
Gotta love when the position player pitches better than the pitchers!
These umpires are getting out of hand…and im a rangers fan.
Rangers legend andy Ibanez just had to do that to us… but regardless offense is back in full force in time for Houston hell yeah
Good time to start swinging it again. They can really bury the Astros in a hole if they take care of business!
F Houston
Well they've been looking into adding a DH for their lineup and thats been McCutchen
@@daniel.Rangers2023That's the rumor you've heard from Twitter. It doesn't mean they're actually interested in Cutch.
CY SAYS THAT'S NOT HAPPENING

I’m a die hard ranger fan. But throwing out Miguel Cabrera right there is stupid. People want to see Miguel play. It’s not about you blue. SMH
Here here. That ump got his feelings hurt.
Poor little fella. There's no crying in baseball!
Agreed. He didn’t go.
Greatest start for us in a hot minute. Let’s keep the momentum
It was a great game to be at!
Man these umps piss me off
2011 was sad for me I was at the cardinals vs rangers
Rangers are cooking for real!

I'm just gonna say it. I'm glad the Tigers didn't get shut out.
⚾⚾
they ruined dunning's shutout that was easily an out...
It was a bang bang play though.
Tie goes to the runner.
We need some new umps
Go rangers
No need to eject miggy

Why do you feel bad for Dunning? He pitched a gem. You're goofy.
This channel needs a lot of work.
classless detroit...
That umpire made some terrible calls on the outside, for both teams
