Glad you got to film this mall. I am impressed that it kept a lot of the 70s/80s features that I remember from hanging out there. Things like the Wendys (glad it still there and looks the same as it did in the late 90s, the fountains and the carousel (which I rode on and people thought I was crazy) and the kids areas like the train. The stores have moved around and some have renovated. Lord and Taylor looks the same, but Macys did an overhall. Did you notice the places to eat are scattered all over the place. Nice, better than a food court. The Dave and Busters I think is the first in New Jersey. Think the Chick Fil A is gone, that was by Boscovs. The JC Penney hasn't changed since the 90s. Maybe adding the Sepora but that's it. One reason I think Woodbridge florishes is that a good number of shoppers take mass transit it, buses from central Jersey and Newark. I take the bus that goes to Menlo Park (bland Simon Mall except for the Nordstroms) that stops there. Curious what you thought of this Boscovs. That was Fortunoff where I got my best friends wedding gift in 1992: a Tiffany lamp which reflected her class and colorfulness (and she still has the lamp in her bedroom!) I met the mega awesome Wallie and Kayla and told them I need to Boscov one day with cupcakes. Terrific video and you should release the music on a CD for all of us to do our work by. FYI please let me know if you film Newport Center Jersey City. Only if you have to. It's the most bland mall in AMerica. Happy to meet up and tell you the history of the mall that's in my town that needs Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack and Boscovs.
Last time I was there it was early 80’s. I was very young so I remember only bits and pieces...I ate at Roy Rogers, went to Heroes Hangout and Good Grief. I couldn’t tell you where they were in the mall, just on an end.
This was a great "80s mall". They used to have a great arcade...Starcade. I remember Lou Piniella used to have restaurant there called "Sweet Lou's". During Christmas they also used to deck that mall OUT. There were two big Santa displays at two different intersections. The carousel of course ( a big one right in the middle) as well as a full train ride around one of the Santaland displays. It was a holiday destination kind of place. Like Christmas exploded in there. It's kinda sad to see how many crap, "D-list" stores are there, now.
I’m curious what will happen to that Lord and Taylor! 🤔 Also Sears is axing stores like nothing so there’s potentially 2 anchors stores now gone soon. I’d hate that because both of those buildings are spectacular. That Sears used to be A&S and is one of the best Sears stores. Has that upscale vibe like Macy’s.
Sears is closed now. They announced their closing, then the shutdown happened so they didn't even get to stay open until their planned end date. I hear JC Penney might be next.
I was here last Summer. I adored this mall.
I went to Woodbridge Mall years ago, i got to go back there soon :D
I live about a mile from here and go here every week! It is an awesome place.

@Faded Commerce If you didn't know the Pepboys is gone and replaced with a plastic glass box overpriced apartment tower.
I believe Chik Fil A is still there.
Omg!! Was going to recommend you do a video here for the fountain and carousel alone 😍 one of my favorite places to shop🙌🏻
Ah yes, my favorite mall in Northern New Jersey…
UPDATE: I was just here, and it’s just the same! I remain in love with this mall to this day.
Thanks. Great in depth tour.
Beautiful mall. Love your videos!
We really appreciate your positive comments! Thanks for watching!!

I remember it would be so busy the 2nd floor would actually move with so many people walking.
@@Skrimpish I remember as a child, feeling that and worrying it might collapse one day.
mall a shell of self over 50 yrs old this year sears out and founttains gone only time will tell is demise
Very rate anymore to see a five anchor mall. Lord and Taylor is in trouble and may get sold. I love the scripted logo. Very decent looking mall.
I hope the owners don’t renovate the mall anytime soon. I really like the 70s/80s look it has.

I dunno hopefully something fills that spot. before A&S closed they did a huge facelift inside that why the sears looks nice inside lol
