Mais carrément. J'y reviens souvent. Une des rares chansons que je vais chercher spécifiquement. Pour moi cette version dépasse la version originale 🔥🙂🪘
I tied myself with wire To let the horses run free Playing with the fire until the fire played with me Yeah And the stone was semi-precious We were barely conscious Two souls too smart to be in the realm of certainty Even on our wedding day, he'yeah We set ourselves on fire Oh God, do not deny her And it's not if I believe in love But if love believes in me Come on and believe in me At the moment of surrender I folded to my knees I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me I have been in every black hole At the altar of the dark star And my body's now a begging bowl And it's begging to get back Begging to get back to my heart To the rhythm of my soul To the rhythm of my unconsciousness To the rhythm that yearns To be released from control And I was punching in the numbers At the ATM machine I could see in the reflection A face staring back at me At the moment of surrender Of vision over visibility I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me I was speeding on the subway Through the stations of the cross Every eye looking every other way Counting down till the pain would stop At the moment of surrender I folded to my knees I did not notice the passers-by And they did not notice me...
I just found out that this is actually a cover of a U2 song. I listened to the original, looked into it a bit, found out it was co-produced by Brian Eno. I'm quite a fan of Eno's solo ambient work, and his work with others like Karl Hyde from Underworld, and especially his work with Coldplay (for albums X & Y, Viva la Vida), and I gotta say, I just prefer Nick's cover. The way Nick brings out those chords and the way he's made this piece feel is just so lovely. The U2 version is great but this is just sublime! When that Ukulele comes in at 3:20 I just melt, and moreso when he brings it back for the ending, such beautiful chord expressions. Makes me think about realising you're in love and it's almost too late to tell her - it's a moment of surrender (I'm sure the song is about something else, but this is what it makes me think of)
I would love a guitar tutorial for this one because it sounds really nice and I can tell it wouldn't be too difficult to play. It's really tricky to figure out the strumming pattern and pull off/hammer on timings just from listening to it /:
I feel like the the passionate vocals that Bono puts in makes the original much superior. The instrument arrangement is certainly interesting in this one but those wailing vocals make the original.
If I had to choose only one song to listen for the rest of my life, this would be the one
This is a song that words cannot describe. The absolute perfection, Nick sung this immaculately. Thank you Nick Mulvey 🙌🌎❤️
It’s not very often I just want to shut my eyes and listen to a song. This is one of those times. ☀️
To be honest, thats the most beautiful song I ever found.
it is a cover of U2. great one.
Iliass i know but it does not change my statement
This is a great U2 cover. The original is nice but this is something else!
Mais carrément. J'y reviens souvent. Une des rares chansons que je vais chercher spécifiquement. Pour moi cette version dépasse la version originale 🔥🙂🪘
@@Antoineforum Je pense aussi...
I want to play this on my wedding day! It speaks to the fire in my soulmate
Every time I listen I tune into a different instrument or rhythm and zone out for 5 minutes, such a great groove!
this song gives me tingles. its really something special to share
Hearing Nicks music makes me feel i wanna disapear in his music , become one and just feel so at home 💖
I tied myself with wire
To let the horses run free
Playing with the fire until the fire played with me
Yeah
And the stone was semi-precious
We were barely conscious
Two souls too smart to be in the realm of certainty
Even on our wedding day, he'yeah
We set ourselves on fire
Oh God, do not deny her
And it's not if I believe in love
But if love believes in me
Come on and believe in me
At the moment of surrender
I folded to my knees
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me
I have been in every black hole
At the altar of the dark star
And my body's now a begging bowl
And it's begging to get back
Begging to get back to my heart
To the rhythm of my soul
To the rhythm of my unconsciousness
To the rhythm that yearns
To be released from control
And I was punching in the numbers
At the ATM machine
I could see in the reflection
A face staring back at me
At the moment of surrender
Of vision over visibility
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me
I was speeding on the subway
Through the stations of the cross
Every eye looking every other way
Counting down till the pain would stop
At the moment of surrender
I folded to my knees
I did not notice the passers-by
And they did not notice me...

You are able to make every song YOURS. I love the fact that the beginning reminds me of #Unconditional. Best version ever.
Love as always 💕🔥
This song conveys spiritual ❤️🔥
So beautiful. Best way to start a new day with a new Nick Mulvey song.
Such an amazing song
Just incredible! Love love love your music. Just when you think you can't come up with anything as good. Can't wait to see you again!
Jade Baker He makes this his own but I think it’s actually a U2 song

I think Just by Not really analyizing, it's mostly E and G maj
Does anyone can tell me which instruments were used in the background after 01:58's? That's really amazing.
Guys, do you know which instruments were used in the background? I wonder especially after 03:21's.
Someone mentioned ukulele
Who in 2019?
Doing any gigs in Leeds anytime Nick? Cross keys club would be a brilliant venue to watch you!
Absolution
Esta versión supera al original (con permiso de U2). Es sencillamente fantástica !!!
For the love of fire...
Longing
Whooo
yay
..the more you listen to the lyrics.....
🎉
It's rare that I feel a cover is better than the original, but this is orders of magnitude better than the U2 original, and I'm a fan of U2.
I feel like the the passionate vocals that Bono puts in makes the original much superior. The instrument arrangement is certainly interesting in this one but those wailing vocals make the original.

WAH

03:20 💕
My favourite bit too Xx

Bruh, atleast mention in the description that you are covering the song! What a steal!
B e a u t i f u l . x 9
How can you write such a beautiful song, with such a theme and be so wrong with the lyrics
The original song is by U2 from their 2009 album No Line Over The Horizon.
Amazing song, a cover that makes the original sound almost awkward.
Simon and Garfunkel cover U2? Cool.
Simon and Garfunkel?
Another youngster trying to destroy a good descend song
So good ❤
