- Sloth Reacts Eurovision Classic 1991 France Amina Le dernier qui a parlé REACTION
"Le dernier qui a parlé" (The last one who spoke) by French-Tunisian singer Amina Annabi
#Eurovision #France #AminaAnnabi
This was the REAL winner of 1991
Simply amazing!
My favorite was their entry from the year before: Joelle Ursull with White and black blues. Who also finished 2nd.
i remember that song! when i was a kid i loved it. lovely. hi from Israel.
i remember it also because the singer and the singers from Israel that year were very friendly with each other so we were very happy.
Yes, I'm so happy that it was recommended to me! Such a beautiful song. I'll have to listen to Israel 1991 also! :-D
@@TheLethargicSloth she ended up 1st on a tie with Sweden, but Sweden got the title because it got more 12s i think
I read that a lot of people were not happy that Sweden got the win over France....haha That was quite a debated finish....
This song is the only one from 1991 that still feels great today. It was ahead of its time. I was 10 years old and so sad ABBA won... I mean Carola.
En mi top 5 de todas en la historia de Eurovisión y lo siento por Carola pero está era la ganadora
Thank you for your reaction. This is the first time someone reacts to my all time favourite ESC song and I am very happy to see you like it too. I am born in 1991 when this entry was performed, but I must say I am still mad she didn't win since I dicovered this song. I am from Montenegro and you should react to Yugoslavian entry from 1991 too. It was very futuristic and unusual song for Eurovision standards back then. 1991 is special year for me, because that's the year of my birth, year of my favourite song and last year when Yugoslavia participated on ESC before war started (I am the last generation of kids born in big Yugoslavia). Thank you once again and a lot of kissess from Montenegro to all people who have good taste in music :*
Thank you so much for your kind words! :-D Yes, this song is out of this world! I was almost mad to hear it didn't win. I still have to check out the Swedish entry that won. ...but this is one of the best Eurovision songs I've ever heard. I'll write down the Yugoslavian entry from 1991 and take a look at it after Eurovision. :-D It's great that we all meet and unite over fantastic music such as this. :-D
FRANCE 91 is also my fav song of the whole Eurovision! I was 13 back then. I also like a lot bebidoll!! I did a università research in 2001 about politics at the Eurovision in the 90s and when I got to watch the Yugoslav clip of 'Brazil', that was filmed by Kosturica!!!, I was shocked cause it seemed a metaphore of the destruction of Yugoslavia as a country. We know how it ended up... Greetings from Barcelona
It was the best song of the year by far ! Still sounds amazing to this day, can't be said of all the others.
Great song timless
I'm glad you've reacted this one! She is originally from Tunisia and you can feel the Tunisian sound in this amazing song!
Thank you! Yes a viewer from Cyprus suggested this to me a couple weeks go. :-D I'm happy I listened to it because I'm adding it to my playlist and music library! :-D Yes, French-Tunisian sound........and it's incredibly pleasant. :-) I read she was born in Carthage to a French father and a Tunisian mother. :-)
Sa mère est tunisienne et son père est français
thanks for reviewing it and loving it! the winner that didn't get 1st place in 1991
Thank you for the suggestion! I was BLOWN AWAY at how good this is! I really wish France could pull out something similar...at least with the French sound. Requiem was CLOSE but they kind of botched it with the unnecessary English lines and revamp....:*(
This should have won tbh !
I agree!!! So much!!! This was an incredible song and performance...simply beautiful. :-D
Ah, you're doing throwbacks now? 😊 Boy, have I got a list for you! Here are some pearls from Eurovision "before my time" 😁:
Monaco 1971, Séverine, "Un banc, un arbre, une rue"
Luxembourg 1973, Anne-Marie David, "Tu te reconnâitras"
Netherlands 1975, Teach-In, "Ding-A-Dong"
Germany 1979, Dschinghis Khan, "Dschinghis Khan"
Switzerland 1988, Celine Dion, "Ne partez pas sans moi"
Turkey 1997, Șebnem Paker, "Dinle" (suggested to me by my subscriber Cem Aslan)
Very nice....hahaha I will have to react to all of these! :-D I was going to do the Celine Dion song because she was my mom's favorite singer. ;-p I knew she had competed for Switzerland in Eurovision and won. :-) I know there are some iconic classics that I haven't heard yet. To be honest I'm quite unfamiliar with many songs before 2015. With the exception of "Drip Drop" by Safura (Azerbaijan) in 2010...and some winners. So this will help me to review older songs and gain a deeper knowledge of Eurovision history for next year. :-D :-D
Watch Norway 95, Greece 95 and Spain 95 - it was great year! 😊
Absolutely...I can do that! :-D :-D
