The best thing about chuck is that the storylines all intertwined Casey was going through his own drama as Alex was hiding the fact that John was still alive from her mom aka Casey’s ex the character development in this show was exemplary
Sarah whole plan here was to protect her family. And we get to know of the major reasons of that in s5....plus i like how casey handled the situation...he told chuck to sign it right away...and told sarah that she would have done the same ..that threw sarah off and she started seeing things from chuck perspective while he was acting all cool following Casey's advice...well played colonel Casey well played

I don't even watch this show for the main storyline anymore, the relationships are far more interesting!
I mean the storyline and the villians etc were interesting but their relationships and how they tied into larger plot was more interesting...
